Sell your bags?
Awesome! What tent do you run? Looks quite nice!
Hyperlite Ultamid, it was pricey, i was drawn to it because of its packability and the fact it has one center pole
Awesome video. Subscribed
I apprecciate you @SteveM109r, I hope to improve the channel in all aspects moving forward.
Perfect 👌
Beautiful
6:22 Is it really that hard to get that luggage cart through that mud puddle?
Relatively, novice, worn 80/20 tires, as you say heavily laden, and solo...i was concerned.
Thanks for the videos! Where abouts in SC are you? I've got an 800DE as well in SC and need to start making some more time for some longer trips.
Aiken County. Yeah, its all a challenge; financing, obtainig, maintaing, and most of all utilizing the machines!
@saxrulez if you have any interest in oem skid plate, oem centerstand, various other bits, motionpro tire lever/axel wrenches. Give me a holler.
Ti trovi bene? Anche su asfalto va bene?
It truly is a dual explorer!
@@BilboBrappins I really like both versions... the DE and the SE (RE).
I believe I'd be happy with the RE/SE as well, but I do enjoy taking the path less travelled and appreciate the 21" front wheel.
Hard to hear what you say. To low microfone volym and to loud music. Very common for new youtubers. Nice films otherwise 😊
I am in the process of adding a mic set up for helmet and a muff to the shotgun mic on nikon, also little by little gaining some understanding if the editing software. I was born in the 80's! I am hoping to improve. I appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

Do you have matching underwear?
You'll have to sunscribe to my onlyfans page to find out.
Man I'll be honest I really envy you guys who owned these kind of bikes and be able to go on an SUPER AWESOME ADVENTURE ANYWHERE !! and because of that reason that I modified/converted my Honda CG125 into a SCRAMBLER to be more off road capable and man that's the best decision I have ever made. Though the bike is only 125cc but it can bring me to places I've only wished of reaching, even though it's not as fast like what you guys have, I'm fine with it because it can bring me to places that I thought I could not go to before. RIDE SAFE ALWAYS BROTHER KEEP BRAAAPPIN BILBO GANDALF will catch up coz he's on an eagle 😂
There's a compromise whether you get a bigger modern bike or the lighter trusted one's. We'll see if you envy me when im struggling to pick that pig up! Gandalf's company will be much appreciated, maybe ill nickname my navigation after him.
@ might be considered it's weight but I think it would be awesome riding in one of those 😊 but I did ride on a high cc bike a couple of times it's a CR500 on a race track and the power scared me haha then an XR650. MADE ME A HONDA LOVER FOR LIFE 😊 but I do own a SUZUKI BIKE which is my fav bike 😂😂 confusing I guess 🤣
Damn I never liked a channel name so much as much as this one REALLY SUITS FOR AN ADVENTURE 🤗
I'm glad you like it! I thought it was pretty clever when it came to me. I'm going to name the series of my grand adventure I have planned starting next spring "There and Braap Again". I just hope I can learn to better the photography/editing to make it more enjoyable for others.
@ yup from one LOTR fan to another 🤗 There and Braap again sounds cool
Have you needed to upgrade the suspension at all? I saw that Ian from big rock moto over heated and possibly blew his rear shock on the NorCal BDR.
I have considered it. There are a number of folks discussing it and having already followed through with upgrade. Either with Cogent Dynamics or Applied Technologies. I weigh 165lbs, and trimmed my "live off the bike" set up down to 75lbs. I'm able to get my sag to 1/3 and have a tiny bit of all compression, rebound and preload to play with. So, at the moment, im going to get my money's worth out of the Showas. If I blow them out or become a more skilled rider where I'm going faster and feel the control factor is jeopordized yes, i will be going with stiffer springs and valve work.
Dude you looking sponsorship from Mosko? other brands available hehe😆 Awesome setup and looks fantastic, Ride safe Brother and have A ton of fun 👍😜 Ps. Would add the heatshield just in case, ya never know 👍
They have the best gear, as far as quality and functionality. And i appreciate uniformity, at least on what shows. Im not completely dillusional, bilbo isn't sponsorship material.
@@BilboBrappins Oh I dunno bud, keep the great content coming, improve your helmet audio A bit Etc and there's no reason why not, you've the makings of A great content creator. 👍
Super underrated platform. I've had mine for more than a year and have no issues. 13k miles. Much love from a soggy western NC
I am super pleased with it. The more I ride it, the more I find it to be a right fit for me. Happy to hear its been a reliable ride for you as well!
Has a lead shim on the end of the header pipe I didn't realise when I fitted on my sc project tail pipe
What approach did you take to get it to work?
@BilboBrappins after grinding down one that came with aftermarket tail pipe I relized that header pipe had a removable on sitting on the end
Copy. I considered removing the shim but figured i'd rather alter the relatively cheap add on than do some irreversible alterations to the header pipe. Also, there may come a day I will want to put the stock exhaust back on, a small maybe, ha.
@BilboBrappins il be getting a de cat Arrow header pipe down the track less heat weight and better performance
Nice! Im continuing to make minor mods myself. Next year I plan on doing some serious travel and am hoping the affair will lead me to getting so dialed I'll have many a joyous adventures for years to come.
Hello. Do you have any issues with heat coming from a bike to your right leg?
There is heat present. Does not bother me though. It might be because im acclimated to working out in the heat of Sc and Ga 9 mos of the year. I only notice it when im at a stop in those conditions on blacktop and the fan is running and its purging.
Might want to add a heat shield on your pipe to protect your bags on a tip over. Nice review
I am slightly concerned about that bottom mounted auxiliary pouch. In the event of a tip over exhaust side down the rear bottom half of that pouch will no doubt face some heat. I appreciate the complement, i am a novice at this vlogging youtube thing. The photography and editing is something I hope to improve upon as i go.
Mate iv had de800 sence Dec 2023 put some motoz ralz tyers on I ride same type of bush tracks in Australia I put a 130 rear tyer but think a 140 rear would be better with the motoz ralz tyers you hammer it through them puddles no worries mate and go for the rino walk bags if you come off the bike you won't smash your legs up like them hard boxs
Right on Vaughn! Sounds like heaps of fun. I ended up pickin' up Pirelli Scorpion Rally Adventour front n back, as the vendor was sold out of dual venture Motoz front and Rall Z rear. But next go round i will give em a go.
Didn't see the entirety of your comment before, I just recieved some soft panniers and tank bag from Mosko Moto. Couple fellers on the Strom Trooper forum said they were compatible with the OEM racks so im gonna fit them on there this weekend.
I thought you were kidding, adventure camping in a city park. You don't see that on other channels.
Its an undeveloped lot I have access to to practice with the camping/camera gear. Glad you found it somewhat unique.
Want.
No kids, no mortgage, many hours of work under my belt, frugal methods, and a dream to travel on two wheels.

For your sleeping bag, does it work in the area you are at (I'm In central Texas and it is 80 at night)? Ok, at 11:12 you mentioned being in S.C. and it being toasty. How'd the sleeping system work for you at night?
Yeah, it works, though on a night 80 or so, id probably dress appropriately and either half use the down quilt or just rest on top.
Nice video dude! I dig the pretty slow pace, it's peaceful.
I precciatcha @mayo_moto
great video and great set up.
I appreciate you
I am thinkng this bike and transalp too.can i ask if in dirt roads like this,in slow driving, you notice much annoying engine heat?
Ive only noticed it intermittently, in general no, but it does seem to purge its heat from time and again. Usually this purge doesny last more than a minute or two. Certainly not something that would be a deal breaker, for me anyhow.
