This was a weird one, but it did feature some fantastic voodoo music from Jan Hammer, as well as a memorable search theme as Crockett and the deputies search for Tubbs and find him in the abandoned pool.
Morgan you have completely underrated this Episode in my opinion it's up their with Yankee dollar,Golden triangle and Caldorn's return part 2. I loved the sound track to it and Crocketts take it seriously approach to Tubbs who thought it was a joke. The opening senses for this where some of Miami Vices best sense ever plus Tubbs been poisoned and bought out of his Poisoning.
I remember being very worried about Tubbs when I first saw that episode. I didn't know much about Voodoo at that time so the whole show worked pretty well for me ;-). 3 Flamingos at least
This episode was very intense. One of my favorite parts was early in the episode when Crockett mockingly saluted Castillo and called him Captain Zombie and Castillo didn't even react and Tubbs started laughing and repeated Captain Zombie and followed Crockett out. The scene where Tubbs was drugged was a bit scary. I loved how the whole team turned out to search for him and Zito was the one that found him and shouted for Crockett and Crockett told him to call for an ambulance and then got in the drained pool and covered Tubbs with the jacket he'd just retrieved. The later portion of the episode really highlighted Crockett and Tubbs's friendship, with Crockett staying by Tubbs's side while he recovered and when Tubbs tried to strangle him, he holds him down briefly and keeps talking to him soothingly and then hugs him when he starts crying and it doesn't even take that long for Tubbs to regain composure. I didn't like Castillo for a bit when he said that Tubbs shouldn't be at the raid if Crockett couldn't rely on him and Crockett said that Tubbs would be fine.
This episode (along with El Viejo) made me wonder about actual graveyards in Miami, and after some quick research...wow there are indeed some historic graveyards there, some of which, sadly, have been vandalized and used for ill purposes
I just thought it was dumb fun. Clarence Williams and the car dealer seemed to have fun. On the other hand, Saundra Santiago and Michael Talbott once made fun of this episode on Friday Night Videos.

Hooray, someone else remembers Night of the Comet, it's underrated.
Thank you for trying to make sense out of a weird and crazy episode of Miami Vice. Happy we can move on!
By far and wide my favourite mimai vice Episode followed by carldrons return part 2,Yankee dollar and Golden triangle.

Clarence Williams just passed from cancer at age 81.
RIP Clarence Williams III.
Clarence Williams RIP. His eccentric performance along with Jan's wild music got the job done for me, zombies or not.
Zombies aren’t so far fetched. It’s not like Vice would go crazier and do an episode about aliens guest starring James Brown, right?... right?

You know the Mystery Machine is a noble head shop, right? So Scooby-Do and Miami Vice crossovers are quite reasonable.
Clarence Williams III had it all going and that included the 'creep' factor. Sadly, the episode wasn't able to pull it together.
Zombie 😂😂😂😂

This would be a great Halloween episode. When was the air date?
An odd episode but I always thought Clerance Williams III gave a great, creepy performance as Legba.
Look at that dude who bit a person's face off on Mcarthur causeway (here in Miami) he was high on bath salt yes but in "a zombie state"
Too weird. Thanks for trying.
I wasn't too impressed with this episode either...talked a high game but really didn't deliver highly....
