- In this video i'll show you a mod called Repentance+, one of the most popular mods in the community... That doesn't have a lot of showcases! And that's why i decided to make it one. Leave a like and subscribe for part 2!
Also i have to mention that the mod is compatible with all the big bois of the modding community (Fiend folio, revelations, etc)

The first heart is one of the most risky and sometimes it becomes useless, getting an extra heart but at the same time a broken one, it would be like the inferior version of Magic Skin, which only gave you one food item.
Its so bad, it doesn't even have the common courtesy to give you a *filled* red heart container
I think the mod reworked the first heart so it gives you an item reroll while standing next to an item instead of an extra heart container. The broken heart comes after an item is rerolled.
It would’ve been cool if the rubiks cube had an synergy with the mind so you could solve it in one try

Fettered heart souls take 2 hits, the first shows their own holy mantle breaking then the second is their death animation.
Actually, if you pay attention, it has 2 holy mantles and after that the soul dies
The new hearts are all broken except the broken heart which sucks and i guess the forgotten one is kind of balanced
Then theres the locust one.
They've undergone a lot of balancing over the lifespan of the mod, just play it and you'll see they are just fine :)

I wish the Eden heart was given the reroll effect instead of the Keeper heart.
As a T.Eve main, the ultra flesh kid it's the only reason why I downloaded this mod

deceiver heart should have a different sprite; maybe less spikes out of it (so it deceives you) + a hurt effect (because of the spikes)
Deveiver hearts hurting the player is something that has been discussed for a while and eventually rejected because, well, a heart that hurts you on pickup is stupidly mean and unfair

Helpful tip, turn off video resample in your editor. It causes that blurred laggy look to the video

Blood vassel en realidad si es bastante útil, con the Lost es como tener 6 vidas extras que no te teleportan y se acumulan exponencialmente y con otros personajes te puede conservar pacto
Bueno, lo del pacto si es util y admito que no lo pense, pero si tienes razon en eso
Pero con lo de Lost no funciona asi, el item no hace nada si lo tienes con este personaje...
Probablemente deberia aclarar estos puntos en mi proximo showcase, que sera entre hoy y mañana
heres the reason why wisps granted by the zealot heart werent showing up
the wisps not showing up is due to the squidward's "you suck" mod that appears on last will edits item textures (the ones that you see in the lil inventory in pause menu if you arent using unobtrusive pause screen) and makes them empty. thats also why modded items appear under the text if you get a game over with one of the modded items and the squidward mod active
so as a result the item wisps from lemegeton and the zealot heart doesnt display any textures

Ideas for rebalancing some of these hearts (on top of their current gimmicks) :
Broken Heart: If you already have broken hearts when picked up, 50% chance to remove a broken heart instead of giving you another one.
Dauntless Heart: Make it count as red heart damage too, just for the sake of losing deal chances still being a thing.
Deceiver Heart: Upon pickup, either deals a half heart of damage to the player OR triggers the Dull Razor effect, dealing fake damage.
Empty Heart: When entering a new floor, gives you the locust but becomes a rotten heart.
Zealot Heart: Same as above, when reaching a new floor gives you the wisp but it becomes a regular soul heart instead.
Rock Bottom + Savage Hearts = BROKEN
Except you have to pick up more savage hearts for each time you boost your damage
3:50 it takes half a soul heart to make the clot and it tries to give ??? a red heart that he cant have i think

A few criticisms... for the hearts.
(tl;dr: rebalances,
Soiled - Needs serious rebalancing for the kinds of dips.
Deciever - Should look like a normal heart, except for some dark spots.
Curdled - Should be a half heart, but leaking from one side and bubbling.
Enigma: Maybe this should only be visible while rather close?
Capricious: Make it look even more unstable!
Baleful: Should make cracking sounds when picked up. Should also be consumed during its effects, with chance of consumption based on how many you have. (more means more)
Miser: Something a bit off about this one. Maybe it should be consumed when you pay?
Empty: Should be rather temporary (for the floor?) instead of permanent.
Zealot: Also should be consumed.
I like some of these ideas!
Hand-me-downs is quality 1? are they completely mad?
I'm assuming it's because you can't choose which items get carried over, and you need to make it back to the floor you ended on last run
yeah, this item sounds completely useless. If you die in a middle of a run it usually means you didn't have good items, and if you finish the run, well, you won't get the items until the very last floor (if you go the same path as in your previous run)
If the mod dev sees this comment and comment chain, I have a proposed change for hand-me downs. They seem to be based off the idea of Edens blessing but come with the issues as stated by commenters above me. So my suggestion is have it work a little more similar to Edens blessing where, if you die or win the run, the mext one will guarentee have 1 (or 3 or however many dpending on what quality you want to keep this item at) at the start of your next run.
Eden's blessing works good normally for both your future run and current run due to both any item appearing in next run, and the small buff to your current run (with the tears up) so if you're wanting similar idea but done differently that's my suggestion. If you want them to be more helpful for current run, give a slight speed up to the player upon pick up as well as it's effect so the player doesn't feel disappointed if they have bad items or bad stats. Hope this comment helps in anyway. I like what I see in the mod from the video here demonstrated but some things are un-balanced or boring as stated by others. I'll mess around with the mod myself when I get the chance so I can have a more solid opinion on it but as first impressions overall interesting concepts, alright execution, needs a bit of tweaking.
In repentance there is like 6 heart types (excluding broken hearts), and I think spamming new heart ideas is just boring. The tainted maggy unlock heart is okay, but the rest are just so stupid or reskins
It gives one full and minuses 1 half so you lose HP cuz u dudnt heal :)
It's a really good mod (even got it installed before uninstalled cuz custom hp apo error, seriously, can someone tell me how to fix it?)

For the hoarder heart,they should make it where you can only take it when you have 4 empty heart containers

The normal double hearts don't do that, and this mod is supposed to be an expansion that is truthful to the rules of the game.
While I get they wanted to add something representing the hearts on the tainted character achievement icons...17 new hearts feels ***really*** bloated and redundant lmao
I think this mod is very overrated, the way they do the items is not fitting to the actual game (like the normal path unlocks for tainted characters are all trinkets), there's too much hearts and wacky items that are not that necessary, not to mention that the items themselves don't seem to fit with the theme sometimes and don't really do much

The heart ideas kinda suck, too much to remember and abilities are as if you're playing mini soul stone or something so most aren't very original. Like the forgotten one is just a wisp
Nobody requires you to remember them, just pick them up and see what they do, lol

the heart that spawn clots probably takes a heart away from blue baby is because it probalby uses the subtorium active anf takes half a red heart away but gives a full one back giving you + half red heart. But because blue baby dosent have any red hearts it dosent give him a heart. Once again im just guessing tho
It's a bug with custom health api, will be fixed in the next patch. Def not intentional behaviour haha
