- Just a quick walkthrough of my latest vehicle purchase - 10th Generation 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback EX 1.5T. Will be posting a lot more of this car next year in 2019, such as maintenance videos, fix-it videos and general how-to's!

Congrats on the coupe! I’m actually more of a coupe fan, but living the dad life required the 5-door 😆

I have the samething 2018 Honda Civil ex. I wish it had the CD player just like other cars.
I honestly thought I'd miss the CD Player, but haven't whatsoever, as I'm able to load all my music onto my phone. If not, there's always youtube :)

Hehe it’s a great upgrade over Scion. Huge movement in overall quality and drive feel. The added MPG’s are also a bonus! Good luck!!!

Is it worth it to upgrade to the EX-L? I feel like I would upgrade the seats to leather and the steering wheel also. Might as well let it be stock
I'm probably buying the 2020 EX this weekend. I really liked how it drove. But I didn't get a good test of the stereo. I'm no audiophile but I'm worried it won't be as good as my 2004 Mazda 6's Bose stereo. Is the stereo system on this car good enough?
This is exactly my only question as well, I’m getting the ex 2020 ex in couple weeks. I love my current 2010 Nissan Maxima sv Bose System so much and I’m unsure how the 2020 ex will compare. I’m assuming it won’t be nearly as good with only 180 watts and no sub. Did you end up getting this car and if so how is it?
I’m very happy with the car. As far as the stereo, for me it does the job. It sounds much better through my iPhone or Bluetooth than through the radio. At times I think it’s better than my 2004 Mazda 6’s Bose stereo and at times I think it’s not. If I were to do it again I would have also test drove the Sport Touring (not just for the stereo) but that one seemed too expensive for me.
ddmx6 thanks for the response! That’s good to hear. I’m in the same boat as you, I did test drive the sport touring and loved it, just too expensive, I think I’ll be very happy with the EX. Not looking to spend an extra 3-4K

How’s it holding up , im sure by now you’re aware of the 1.5 tl engine problem, any oil dilution ?
Oh yes :(. It's actually been great, aside from the AC, which Honda finally recalled. I've had the condenser replaced three times now, but they did give me an extra 10 year warranty. The mechanic said I can go back in 10 years and have it replaced if I wanted to. No oil dilution...yet :/

Robert Graham He was saying how he wanted a nicer interior with the ex trim. At that point he should’ve just went with the sport touring..
I like the sport too but if you want everything on it have to get a touring model and it cost alot more.

There's a ex model near me for 19.5k. Should I go for it? Also how's the engine doing on your car? There's apparently some issues with the Honda 1.5T engines.
Yes, there was a problem with oil dilution in the 1.5t but that seems to be fixed in the recent releases
Do you know if it was fixed in a recall? Looking at this exact car

Hello! Actually this was thrown in by Norm Reeves Honda along with the floor mats after my haggling :):):). You can purchase one through your local dealership and there are aftermarket mats that you can find online.
I got mine at the same place ! Lol
Where you get the protective mat for the floor in the trunk ?
Actually, this was a free add on (along with the rubber floor mats and mud guards) from the dealer...after some haggling that is :)
So does the ex just have apple car play and not android car play?
Engine has about 20 more horsepower, moonroof, larger display, some extra tech ... few other things the LX doesn't.
