When we were born we learn right from wrong and the consequences of it, we are told by adult's that everything will be ok to work hard and be proud of our country. What is happening to the Murray darling river system is a embarassment to Australia. The world need young people to get involved. Politics is at the core of driving our societies and the fresh eyes of our youth see clearly through the fog. However, when one thinks of a political future in terms of a career that is where the corruption begins. Politics should not be a career it should only be a steeping stone as anything more opens the door to an intrenched bureaucracy. Thats is the wisdom of term limits.

Hi greeting to friendly Australia I believe 2019 2020 are very difficult years for all Australian because of prolong drought, unprecedented bushfire and now the Covid 19 pandemic. Australia is a big country with lots of natural resources like iron ore, copper and diamond, natural gas and coal, vast agricultural farmlands and natural environments of great beauty. What I feel the most important thing is that the Australians must get the right personnels must be chosen properly into the important governing agencies MDBA, AUSTRALIAN WATER AUTHORITY AND MINISTERS OF ALL MINISTRY. As we all know the world all over will face serious water problems in the foreseeable near future especially Australia which is the most arid continent in the world. It is therefore very important great effort has to implemented to counter the serious water shortages for the wellbeing and the future prosperity of all Australian. I can visualise that Australia will need half a dozen big dams to harvest more runoff during heavy monsson rain and may be a dozen desalination plants to produce 5000 gigalitres of water fit for human consumptions and fire fighting preparation. SOLAR POWER GENERATIONSAND OTHER CLEAN ENERGY LIKE WIND AND TIDAL WAVES, IMPORTANT CIVIL ENGINEERING WORKS LIKE RELEVANT HIGHWAYS AND INFRASTRUCTURES CAN ALSO BE INCORPORATED FOR LONG TERM DEVELOPMENTS. I am sure it will creat very real positive GDP and add hundreds of thousand good paying job. The benefits like food security and productivity, jobs creation and wellbeings for the people will outweigh the investments many many times over all for a long time.

Looks like a complete rethink of what crops will actually suit Australia’s climate rather than what crop to plant to make more money. Change will happen wether they choose it now or it’s forced upon them in time too come.
I remember this on the project, they had a good old laugh about it, those loveable chaps at the project hey
Worst tv show in Australia bunch of morons.
Yeah and they call themselves left wing. Disgraceful townies.
Bunch of muppets alright
I wonder if they ever considered aerating the water behind inflatable reservoirs?
I'm with you 100% of the way Kate McBride
When we were born we learn right from wrong and the consequences of it, we are told by adult's that everything will be ok to work hard and be proud of our country. What is happening to the Murray darling river system is a embarassment to Australia. It is caused by government greed and corruption of government and farmers, they are environmental criminals and charges should be layed. Somebody needs to get some heavy machinery out and clear these man made barriers that are restricting the flood plans from flowing. Stand Up and be counted people stop buying products made from cotton if you really care.
Hey, Mr Coffey, do you use the same water that all these people are using? Maybe the government and all of these water plants, should all be using the same water!
I remember 10 years back, hearing china bought Australia's biggest cotton farm.
ef china . turn the water back to a sustainable feed rate .
Stop cotton farming for 2 years and you might find your problem or just blame it on the Carp !!
all legal activity should be legislated on it's moral ground. As anything legal that is immoral is simply corruption.
So, if the water is safe as defined by the government, then let them use ONLY that water for ALL their uses. Then see how fast the rules change when they get sick, develop health issues and have no alternatives because the water is safe by their own definition(s).
SAVE MURRAY DARLING
What about the ones who lived and survived for thousands of generations what's bein there life force
Amazing story. The Murray Darling is one of the skeletons of Australia.
ANOTHER GOVT FAILURE is what it is!
@@susanfrazer4341 :The failure to restrict cotton
So sad
We shuold stop votting for anyone.we can work out things without theme.they must baaagg us next time to vote at all
Oh! What happened! of the river?? 🤔🤔
That must be related with algae and temperature vs the number fish and the water capcity in the river. Like a soup with lots of micro and oxygen.
I think we are seeing Australian Jacinda Adern in the making. Hope to see one day she would be the Prime Minster of Australia. Very good luck to her.
It's our great pleasure that Kate has joined the Australia Institute and continues to fight the good fight, she's been doing some great work on the water front.
Where can I follow Kates protestMovement online ?
Both main rivers have been flooding all of 2022.
i'd vote 4 kate
The world need young people to get involved. Politics is at the core of driving our societies and the fresh eyes of our youth see clearly through the fog. However, when one thinks of a political future in terms of a career that is where the corruption begins. Politics should not be a career it should only be a steeping stone as anything more opens the door to an intrenched bureaucracy. Thats is the wisdom of term limits.
GREAT people... There is something about the country and love for the environment... A travesty that the water is wasted.
I was staggered at the few puddles in the river at Wilcannia... insane greed and lunacy from ill-advised bureaucrats!
My grandchildren need to see this river ...
Water is life and i shouldn't be bottled away
Our farmers and wildlife need to be treated with the respect that they deserve. The Government obviously doesn’t care but we should vote them out before its too late All the government cares about is fossil fuel and mines.
Rivers and wetlands are not dying on their own development and greed are killing them . Keep up the good work. Polatition's come and go . When you get good support enjoy it and get the most you can done . Anything possative be glad . The Jordan River in Utah was all surrounded by farms in the 1970's. In the 1950's marsh it's now a narrow strip of nature. It's tributaries in Salt Lake City just trickle through under ground culverts. I did my best with others good luck
P.S. Farmers and Ranchers need to eat and pay their bills too . I've grown up working for Sheep and Cattle Ranchers. No water no food no Life Work as a team .
the waters safe to touch and drink unless you have a "medical" condition? sounds legit
Nice one Kate, keep up the good work and keep the pressure on the politicians 👍
Good on you aussies the councils over here in New Zealand are trying to take our water ways in Northland
Unbelievable!!!!!
REMEMBER DO NOT TRUST THE GOVERMENT
The government don’t think
Where? is the Darling rivier
Think shes doin what most dont, we have had alot of rain lately, but thats wont last, im from nz were everytime i go back rivers look worse. Its hard because farming is great for the economy and towns, but there is a price an i think we have to stop ignoring it!
now i have seen this vidio i shall never buy enything made from cotten . i do not promote commercial farming because its disstroying our planet.
Why this things happened? Why???
The (few) people against the corporations Monsanto/Bayer)...Polititions are easily paid off
Now its time to drain our political swamp!. Only corruption can do this.
Lets all fight to save our great river darling,, She is the main atery of this once great country that has been hijacked by criminals masquerading as the Australian government.
This what happens when it doesn't rain for 3 years
BRAVO YOUNG LADY...STAND & BE COUNTED!!!!
Cubbie Station, the largest irrigation property (cotton and rice) in the southern hemisphere comprises 93,000 hectares (230,000 acres) and is owned by Shandong Ruyi, a textile manufacturer owned by investors from China - the Chinese have bought the State and Australian governments and they take what they want - don't blame the climate blame your government
Australia will have less rain every year. This is a global issue not something Australia can solve on their own.
And this operating way is to be put in practice. God save us from de money hungry companies.
Greeds and profits, sadly that’s what ours politicians are into this days
Voting National means less food and fibre.
Why is pollution and run off contamination all blamed on global warming?
Shes beautiful inside and out rare
We need you in politics! from the eastern end of south australia!
If she goes into politics she loses her voice, and will be restricted to party policy decisions. In other words she will be turned into a sellout. I hope she stays away from politics.
Kate for PM!
Hey, its pronounced 'pote able' not pottable.. Just saying.. You're not potting it.. Potable means something different to pottable. All water can be put in a pot..
Is this about this girl Kate or about the river?
What are you doing to help any part of the planet apart from being a lazy cowardly keyboard warrior?
@@1t_wasnt_me Um. I don't think you know what a keyboard warrior is ... I didn't say anything bad about anyone.
Nice attempt at a sledge.
To answer your questions, I do what I can.
Still hurts😮😢
