Will this restrictor valve come installed on newer machines? Or will it be up to the customer if it's installed or not? Btw i'm hyped a lot with this machine. Keep the good work ❤❤
Yes, all machines currently being shipped already include this valve. This video is a guide for the first ~100 machines that have already been delivered
Re. decreasing peak shot pressure with each pull (mentioned at 20m11s). Is this due to the new restrictor value, and if so, why? Or is this just for all Argos?
It's for all Argos. As the group head temp raises from shot to shot the boiler temp (and therefore pressure) is lowered. That way a consistent water temp on the puck is achieved at cost of decreasing preinfusion pressure. Other dipper levers like the La Pavonis have (somewhat) constant preinfusion pressure but raising temp from shot to shot. Both are different compromises, but I like the Argos compromise better. Disclaimer: I have an Argos ordered.

How do you time your shot since there is no pump? From first drip?
