I used to hang back and think if I stayed alive, there was a small chance I might be able to clutch a round. I was very passive and stuck in the mindset of "if I survive, I might win". I'm not a good player by any means (I'm old, with slower reflexes), but my skill level literally doubled with two changes. Becoming more aggressive, and more assertive. Communicating with my team as to what I was doing (Initiator main/ Controller secondary, so really need to) was key. Secondly, just taking every fight. I MAY be able to win a 1v3 at the end of a round (though most likely not, as my aim isn't great and rely on positioning)...but if I try to 1, 2, or 3v3 at the START of a round, with all my utility at my disposal, and with a full team to help, the odds increase dramatically. I realised it's not about surviving...it's about maximising your impact while you're alive. My only advice at low level is get stuck in, take every fight you find, build up the muscle memory passively, and most of all, look at a mistake as a potential strategy in the future once you've reviewed it and tweaked it to work better (I for one have noticed I keep unconsciously dropping my crosshair to have a clearer view I don't need).
hard stuck silver 3, everytime I hit Gold, I get silent teamates who don’t talk whatsoever, and if they do talk it’s to yell at me for asking people to turn there mics then they’re back to being silent lol

getting back into valorant for the first time in much over a year. previous rank was on average silver 2 to gold 1 by the end of an act (was not good). come back to the game and am all the sudden very good. play some with my diamond and asc friends who used to be in bronze-gold with me. top frag on duelist against them, mid frag on initiators. decide to do my placement games. first game: 2 people with diamond gun buddies on the enemy team, and another with a riot buddy, 2 irons, a bronze, and a silver on my team. second game: someone on the enemy team was either wall hacking or somehow stream sniping somebody on our team even though I asked and nobody was streaming third game: very balanced team comps rank wise, 2 teammates went afk, and someone on the enemy team admits to having his asc friend playing for him Anyone else think the low ranks are unfair?

At very first when I started getting gud I was maining raze and them raze nerf came ND I don't wanna talk about nerfed jett now I'm maining omen fully have more than 140hours playtime on omen in comp but some times the game goes so bad I hate to play omen ND I starts playing some other agen now I'm playing jett second wise if someone insta locked omen have personal record of 47 kills with jett on bind it was longest match man first it was 12-1 and then we played odins like he'll and I got 3 aces in that match and 5 clutch 4k

laser focus on your own game, dont worry about teammates. anyways they cant do anything but watch you clutch up. if they yappin too much there is a mute button too lol
1. Your teammates are in the same elo as you. They are as good as you or suck as much as you (I prefer thinking the later one). 2. Record one or two of your games and die of cringe watching them. 3. Go and do something awkward in public. Singing, dancing, get rejected by a girl in front of your friends...Be creative. 4. Ask a friend to watch you play for one match. 5. Join a sport club. Making mistakes and see other fail is normal.
About filling, you should at least know how to play ONE non-duelist character, I recommend characters that are like duelists like omen. If you suck at smokes go initiator, please don’t fill smokes if you don’t even know what type of smoke to put down
i just lost 30rr because someone stole clove last second, leaving the other guy on a character they've never played. The player that stole clove then went AFK after round 1, the guy that got the random character, then announced he was gonna troll, running into enemies with knife out. Clove came back round 5 and started blasting his soundboard. Cypher had no aim, game sense or comms. What do i do in these situations

having a good aim is crucial for escaping, the only thing helding me back from ranking up is afk teammates and the fact that i can only play 2 hours a day

please invest in a new pc. 140 ping is extremely high. i play both eu & na. you have about a .1 second delay on that ping which can 100% effect your gameplay

My solution is really harsh, it’s just to never get into those situations in the first place and carry your team to victory

Escaping low elo isnt difficult, I got to plat with aim alone, after that game sense becomes important

Dont train in the range its so inefficient, its fine for warming up but use a proper aim trainer and a routine
