  • PLEASE LIKE and SUBSCRIBE as always I do SUB for SUB ! This is our latest Free Electricity Green Renewable Energy project. It's a top of the line 6.5 kilo-watts DC grid tied Photovoltaic solar panel system consisting of 19 SunPower X335 modules 335 watts each; and the Aurora PVI 6000 grid tie inverter.I also have 10 Tigo Energy Maximisers installed to compensate for shading issues such as Snow. It generates free electicity and is projected to generate more electricity per year than my annual household usage. Thus it will eliminate my electric bill except for the delivery charges which will be around $15 a month. I will be happy to answer any questions in the comments bellow Just ASK !

    Does the system ever pay for itself? It looks like a great system, love how you can be self reliant.

      Its projected that the system will pay for itself in 10yrs and is warranted for 25yrs. Life expectanfcy is >35yrs. The SREX program expires in 10yrs unless they pass a new law to extend it but is unlikely.

    By the way, one day do a video on a cloudy day would be interesting to see the difference.

      Sure .I'll make a longer video reviewing the statistics for the winter months and you'll be able to see how the system performs.

    Nice system! If the grid goes down, can you power your home?

      Unfortunately not. This is due to a requirement for the grid tie systems to shut down automatically when the grid goes down to ensure safety of the workers ( or so they say). I have 2 options to resolve this problem. 1) buy a standby generator with an automatic transfer switch and have some bypassed circuits.
      2) Have a smaller solar system on top of the garrage with an SMA grid tie inverter that has a powered external outlet. This outlet can be then wired to a automatic transfer switch to power some circuits when its sunny. Once i have some money I think I'm gonna go with the diesel standby generator and automatic transfer switch
