Hello Nancy and thank you for your stitching company ! I really enjoy watching your flosstubes- they are fun!! And yes I also have so much I want to make and stitch !!! Have a good week !
Love your videos. I know how you feel with the pain in your knee. I had my first knee replacement when I was 60 and my second knee done at 61. Best thing I ever did and would redo them if I ever have too. I am 70 so I have had them for over 10 years. Keep after your orthopod and tell him you need it done while you are still young. Rooting for you to be pain free and the getting around without pain is wonderful. Also loved your haul. Have a great 2 weeks and enjoy your retreat.😊
Nancy, you are a joy to listen to. This is the first time you came up on my rotation. You made me laugh out loud at times and my husband would ask “ Who are you talking to?”. When I replied that it was a floss tube he rolled his eyes and then asked”Is it the girls in Maine?”( Missie & Kathy) Its a good thing you live in Pennsylvania and I live in South Carolina- we wouldn’t bring home a paycheck! LOL. We would be enabling each other to get for ourself what the other picked out. Enjoy your sewing and stitching. Your project bags look great!
So enjoy every minute of your videos Nancy. Love the blood pressure story. You are a hoot. Much love and hugs from the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Linda
Hi Nancy chin up keep going strong, love your videos, great fabric choice for your project bags👍stitching projects coming along nicely, enjoy your stitching retreat, have a good week Thankyou for sharing 👍🪡🇳🇿❤️
Yes, I absolutely pet my linen, project bags, floss as well as my writing accoutrements such as stickers and washi and pretty sparkly pens (my precious)....it's COMPLETELY normal AND healthy. 🤣love the chickens, and that customer service you received is phenomenal. The Forest Sampler - fully enabled, thank you 🌲🌳🌴Looney Tunes, ah fond childhood memories. Hope you had fun at the retreat, I've not yet been so excited to hear all about it. ✨ps, ty for pic of the squirrel doing acrobatics.
Hello!! Great chatting with you!! And yes, I love to pet and smell my linens, fabrics, books, yarn, etc. Now, don’t laugh, but I used to smell my girls’ school books and could tell whether the course was going to be easy or hard. I batted 100% on that smell. LOL Never figured out how I did that! I hope you have a wonderful time at your first retreat! Happy stitching!!🥰
I love your project bags, they are beautiful. I started my first Hawk run in January, and I am stitching one block per month with the goal of being finished in December. Enjoy your Spring Break! Thanks Janine
I am watching between 2 and 4 a.m. indeed many of the cartoons and shows from our childhood are not aging well at all. I am with you on DMC….if I stick with DMC I have more craft money for floss, fabric and patterns. I am in the process of being semi retired for a year and then fully retired….my year being a school year….so I feel the need to be budget conscious. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Nancy, this is my first viewing of your flosstube. I loved it. If we lived closer, I am sure we would be BFFs! I love your attitude and your wit. Your stitching is lovely. Subscribed, hit the bell, and liked this episode so much!
Your flosstubes always make me smile! That new quilting fabric is fun. I'm not buying much either -- backing and batting mostly. Currently working on "Triple Treat" blocks (Leader/Ender Challenge FREE from Bonnie Hunter) to use up 4-patches made of 1 1/2" squares, plus 2 1/2" squares and 2 1/2" x 4 1/2 rectangles). I too pre-ordered from my LQS -- Traditional Stitches, Calgary, Alberta -- and my pattern/floss (DMC) arrived today: Jeannette Douglas' first reproduction sampler. Don't look! You might be tempted. *Loved* the kitchen fabric you bought! I've got two of Kathy Haberman's (Hands On Designs) Kitchen Counter pieces to do...they'd be fun with fabric borders and backing in that kitchen-themed fabric. Again, don't go looking! 😆 I hope you have a great time on those retreats. If I can drive 8 hours through the Canadian Rockies at almost 70 yrs of age (which I did last July) you can drive a freeway at 60 yrs! Be safe, be yourself, have fun! Hugs from Alberta, Canada...
You always say what is going on in my head. I saw Sherri and Chelsea’s new line of fabrics coming out in September and loved them! Bought the floral shop pattern today. I hadn’t done any tiny towns yet but had to get A Honey of a Tiny Town because of the colors. Mine came today. I’m stitching The Gather Inn as I’m watching! I started stitching mine with Arrowhead and was unhappy, looked too yellow. Took it out and switched to Lightning. Just started stitching with that and think I’m going to be happier. My fabric is Heirloom by Fortnight. It looked like a sunset to me. I’m not putting those words either. So wish you were going to Weekend A.
TH-cam autoplayed your video for me and I am so glad! Such a delight to see your stitching and catch up - thanks so much for your kind words about my shop :) Hope you have a blast at the Steel City retreat! xo Abby
Stitchcon weekend B will be my very first retreat. Nervous and excited all at once so can't wait to see your recap after steel city stitchers retreat...and will see you in June!!!
I really enjoy your sense of humor. You are a hoot and a half. As for what could the next hawk run be...how about Gardens or Parks of Hawk Run Hollow? That could be neat.
I honestly don't know how you have time to teach with all your wonderful stitch projects, project bags and quilting! I'm retired and I don't come close to making strides of progress like you do! I probably average about 2 hours a day stitching. The time flies by! Loved your Looney Tunes bag with the dark grey interior, if you want to sell that one, "me please", I would love to purchase it. If so, please message me. Happy stitching💚
Hi Nancy, first and foremost find a new doctor. I had both of mine replaced 10 years ago and I was just 61. One of my nieces had one replaced at age 42. On a stitchy note, (think of Desi saying this to you) Nancy, you gotta lotta stitchin to do. 😂 Happy Stitching. ❤❤❤❤
I think the bigger issue for him is the weight. He doesn't want it to go bad earlier. Well, if i had a better knee, I could walk and lose weight. I'm tired of the battle
@@disorderlystitcher I was over weight at the time also. If you dropped the weight by tomorrow he would tell you, you were too young. Remember you are the one paying him. Don't give up. ❤🚶♀️❤🚶♀️❤
Hi Nancy! I too am buying cross stitch charts like I’m immortal! 😂 oh well at least I’m happy! I like Morgan hoops better than nurge hoops. I have all kinds of hoops - my favorite for tightness are Morgan and q snaps. I often baste a 2 -3 inch strip of fabric around my linen when I am concerned about having enough fabric edge on my piece. It works really well. - and lord knows I have more than enough fabric strips😂. Thanks for sharing! It’s close to summer time for you! 😊 happy stitching!
Yes, I Pet my fabric, and when I go into a quilt shop or a fabric store I need to touch the fabric. And I hoard Fat quarter bundles, God only knows when I will use them but I must have them. Geez....
You will enjoy your first retreat in Pittsburgh! Enjoy and have fun!! I think the owner of my LNS in Ohio will be there? Her name is Jeannine and she is fun! I hope you decide to go to Stitch New England, it is not overly expensive and I would love to meet you! I was in the Zoom Room at the Jingle Ball where the Tipsy Bunny group formed and that is where I “met” you, it was such an enjoyable evening of laughter and fun! I just got in to StitchCon A so won’t get to meet you there either! Anyhow, enjoy your videos and just watched Chris the Camping Stitcher, who challenged you on starting Maps of HRH, I’ll bet you start it soon! Your projects are beautiful and I love seeing your progress on them. Have a great couple of weeks!
You’re going to love your retreat! You will return home tired, but on a post-retreat high and a feeling you’ve never had more fun! Be sure to share it all with us! Love seeing and hearing about your projects! Karen of Prom Queen Stitcher ☘️.
Oh goodness me with the fabric! In love with the states piece. And YES I pet my stitchy and sewing fabric. Keep that pear pattern handy. I feel a SAL coming soon. Welcome to the tiny town adoration. So, Nancy. I have a proposal for you. Would you be willing to participate in a bag exchange with me? I make one for you and you make one for me. The one condition is that I make all fabric bags. Haven't learned to sew with vinyl just yet. Let me know if you'd be interested. Have a great time at SCS retreat and YES you need to sign up for Stitch New England Retreat. Looking forward to seeing you at Stitch-Con. 🧡🧡
It was great meeting you at SCS retreat. I wish I knew about your knee issue.. I can recommend whole health orthopedics in Meadville pa. My sister was told the same thing from many doctors.. lose weight.. this doctor actually looked at her tests and she was scheduled for surgery 1 week later. Dr. Mollie told her he didn’t know how she could even walk as bad as her knees were and she is in her 40’s! I tend to think age shouldn’t be a factor as much as quality of life should be! If you can have a life without pain.. it’s worth a call.
Enjoyed your video. I wonder if you could possibly sell me one of those? I saw Oklahoma (born and raised there), Texas ( where I live but I don’t mind admitting I don’t care for Texas - football rivalry) and I saw Arkansas where my best friend lives. I live in Paris, TX, 12 miles from Red River and Oklahomaand very close to Arkansas. Thank you for taking the time to make videos. I’m homebound so y’all are my company
Have a wonderful school-free week full of happy stitching! Have a wonderful retreat! PS: Wish I could do your Ann Tong Uffendill SAL, but I'm sticking to the promise I made to myself to finish a few things before I start anything else. So lovely! Know you and others will enjoy the stitching! Also, when you get around to making up your pears: th-cam.com/video/8ZaQ0TiJC94/w-d-xo.html

Hey, my branch for match is off too.
