Thanks for another great Flosstube, Ladies! Molly, I also store patterns in binders. They’re not themed binders as yours are, but the patterns are all easy to find. Kathy, my mother was scheduled for an operation once. She was 83 and we were already in pre-op at the hospital. It was an emotional day. Given her age and the seriousness of the operation, we had said our goodbyes. The time of her operation kept getting pushed later, until it eventually was canceled for that day. An emergency had come in and there just was no time to fit her in that day. She was a remarkable woman and shrugged it off saying “Well, someone needed an operation today more than me.” She eventually had the operation and we were blessed to have her for almost another 5 years. ❤
Hi Molly, Stunning, stunning, stunning! And that does describe your Wall of Beautiful Stitching! Good luck on your knee surgery, Kathy. Your Bunny tin if goodies was awesome! Dottie
So many wonderful patterns. Where to begin?! Molly I love your enthusiasm and you can say whatever you want, as many times as you want! Your new decorated wall is stunning! And Kathy, so sorry for the disappointment of having to wait for your surgery. Small blessings perhaps? Prayers for you & your doctors that all will go smoothly for your surgery next month. Enjoy all that stitching time!
Another very enjoyable episode of your Floss Tube. I love seeing all of your stitchy progress, finishes and plans. Molly, your floss organization system is so great and Kathy, your Bunny Tin is awesome! Take care!
Thanks so much ladies for all the beautiful stitching you showed today. Also loved the cute Easter bag with all the sweet littles inside as Cathy shared each one! These sweet pieces during the holidays just bring such joy to those who see them displayed around the home! Thank you Molly for sharing your organization and storage of project bags and threads.😀 wish you both lots of great stitching time and prayers for surgery to go smoothly this next scheduled date for Cathy🙏❤️
Molly - your thread organization has been very helpful to me. Thank you! So many good organizational ideas! Kathy - your sweet Easter bag and tin of treasures was such a delight, and the pattern parade. Thanks you two for brightening my morning!
Great information and inspiration as usual. I hope and pray the surgery is smooth and behind you soon. Just don't ignore the therapy. Makes all the difference. Thank you for spreading enthusiasm!
Chantelle Dearing has a lot of lovely wood products for finishing stitching….if she doesn’t have a box exactly like what you want she would likely know who produces them. Terrific video ladies.
Molly, you have some serious computer skills! Compared to me, anyway. I am close to 70, worked in dental office where we did not use a computer, so I am very lacking in my tech knowledge.😂 Your notebooks are awesome. Both of your cross stitch pieces are beautiful. Loved the Easter basket with all the goodies. Kathy, hope everything goes smoothly this next time for your knee surgery. What a roller coaster ride for you. Continued prayers for you.
I had been wondering how Kathy was doing. Sorry you had to wait. We need a tour of your pieces on the back wall, Molly. You gals are always fun to watch.
Molly, if the back of your clock is plain, could you perhaps finish your spring piece in the round and attach it to the back using a magnet? You then could do additional seasons as they are released and swap them out seasonally. I love all the things you show; it takes me forever to watch your video because of all the times I stop it to google a pattern, book or item you talk about.
Another great video ladies,Cathy wishing you well for your knee surgery,Molly love your clock,so many beautiful stitching goodies loved it all,Thankyou for sharing 👍🇳🇿🪡❤️❤️
Beautiful stitching, ladies! I very much enjoyed seeing all the projects that you've been working on and it was a treat to see some of your spring and easter projects too. I loved seeing all of your organizational systems, so organized and neat and tidy. Thank you for another wonderful video. Stay well and Happy stitching!
Hi gals, enjoying another of your episodes. Maybe someone else has mentioned this but "What Remains" from BBD was one of the exclusive patterns done for Traditional Stitches' 20th Anniversary. Traditional Stitches is just west of Calgary, Alberta, CANADA, and is now approaching it's 24th anniversary. It does a big online business, but you can shop in person too. I've known the owner for almost as long as she's been open. She showcases Jeannette Douglas (also a friend of mine, also from Calgary) designs as well as many other designers -- especially featuring samplers, but whimsical pieces too. I finished my "What Remains" last year and adapted it to honour the memory of my husband, who died in 2006. It's a beautiful piece!
Ann Hazelwood is from St. Charles, Mo where she used to own a wonderful quilt shop and button shop on Main Street for many years. She has written four series of books: 1. Cole ridge Community, 7 books in the series (2012-2015) 2. East Perry County, 5 books in the series (2015-2017) 3. Wine Country Quilts, 5 books (2018-2020) 4. Door County Quilts, 5 books (2020-2022) 5. Christmas, She Wrote (2023) Very easy and fun reads!
Lovely podcast once again! So many beautiful designs to dream about! I love all the Easter charts and even one of the old magazines with the sweet chick on the front! I know I have that magazine amongst so many others from the 70’s, 80’s and some 90’s! Can’t wait to watch your video on making the thread keeps! What a fantastic idea! Molly you are so organized! I wish you could come help me get organized too! Thank you both and have a wonderful Spring! Take care of one another! Blessings!
Wonderful video, ladies!!! When you pulled out that pansy doily, I got warm and fuzzy. My mom was a beautiful crocheter and she made that pansy doily full-sized. She used to dip them in that liquid starch paste and block them. Works of art!! Jessica @SweetwaterStitcher has the wood perpetual calendar and pattern, I believe. I remember her showing that. She might be able to help you with that, Kathy. Both of you have such beautiful pieces and your color choices are “stunning!” 😉 Happy stitching❣️
Thank you for the info on the portfolio. I made my hubby come and watch the segment as well. He asked if I was going to order it, lol. That should keep me out of trouble for a while. I really enjoyed the seasonal ideas, as well. You are both a wealth of information and talent.
Noticed your new wall decor at the opening - Looks great. Molly your storage system is awesome !!! Love your molly sampler colors. Kathy so sorry for your disappointing setback. Your sampler stitch is gorgeous and those colors -Oh my !!! Your red christmas stitch is so pretty. Fun FT.
A very enjoyable video, love to sit and stitch while I watch you....Molly, I finally jumped in and started doing some of my patterns on 18 ct aida and one thread....I love the look as it is more delicate and make some patterns appear more primitive....thank you for mentioning this on a previous video.....looking forward to seeing both of you again soon with more beautiful WIPs and finishes.
I understand how you feel about your surgery being postponed Kathy. In 2020 I was schedule for hip replacement that was cancelled a day before because Covid shut down everything! Two months later I got scheduled again and everything is well! Blessing for a speedy recovery when you have your knee surgery.
Thanks so much! It took way more than an hour and 20 minutes to watch this since I had to stop and look up things so many times! I'm pretty sure Cricket Collection has more carrots scattered among its other patterns and maybe even a freebie or two. Molly, have your husband make you the perpetual calendar box. You can stitch the numbers and mount them on wooden tags!
Wonderful flosstube! Sorry your surgery was postponed Kathy, since you were ready to get it done! I hope on the actual date, it goes very well! You are both so gifted. 🌺🌺📗📗📗
Sorry your surgery was delayed Kathy! I have surgery scheduled but I can’t get in until August 1st! It’s a long time to live with the pain! I love your binders Molly! I want to do that too and have the binders. It is just a matter of sitting down and doing it.
Hello, just found your floss tube and loved watching you. Thanks for sharing how you store your floss. I really like the floss books you made, great idea. Can’t wait to checkout your other episodes.
Molly, loved your organizing tips. I hang my floss on drops, then rings by number, then on scarf hangers that hold 10 rings each, THEN in the closet🤓😜 Thank you, Lonnie in Texas
If your husband can make the bottom we’re the cross stitch goes, you can buy the calendar blocks from Hobby Lobby. I seen Jessica from Sweetwater Stitcher. Had showed one a few months back and were to get them. Maybe you can get info from there.
Hi Molly and Kathy. There are two more books in the Door quilt series. They would be fun to read as you recover from your surgery Kathy. All the best for the surgery and hoping you have a speedy recovery! Molly, you have been bitten by the biggest stitching bug since you started flosstube! 😂 You seem super organized now too. I am trying to get as many WIPs finished as possible in 2023. I am actually avoiding flosstube lately because it makes you want to buy and start more and more. 😂 Happy stitching to you both 🧵
The calendar is from Paisley and Polka Dots. Message them and ask about availability. I have purchased from them and their customer service is great. Good luck.
Oh gosh! It’s so wrong they put your surgery off! Bless your heart Kathy! It will be time soon! Beautiful finishes and WIPs! Thank you Molly for sharing your storage! You have some great ideas there that I might need to try!💕
Well done ladies! My head is literally buzzing from all the eye candy and needlework stimulation! Keep up the good work gals! I am just finishing the Blackbird chart What Remains. I subbed in my deceased family members initials and I am at the bottom row of birds but I am seriouslly considering a memory sentiment in place of the birds.
That was the first thing I noticed, that the big picture was no longer gracing the wall and there were in its place a wonderful collection....then I admired the dangly earrings😍. Beautiful cross stitch, most inspiring! I need - change that to I must - get some Christmas and Easter charts in my repertoire. Love the chitchat. See you both soon ✨
Another inspiring video, ladies. Sounds like you got a lot done after your surgery was postponed, Kathy! That little Easter collection is so adorable. And yes, your granddaughters are going to have fun going through all your treasures some distant day! Your Wm Morris bag is "stunning", as Molly would say. Sounds like you have a great organizational system that works well for you, Molly. Happy stitching!
I have a small pleather Namaste and love it. it is breaking down, but I still use it. I have made a target jewelry box conversion, but I haven't used it yet.
Nice video! Kathy good luck on your surgery. My 24year old grandson just had his hip replaced. He is doing great. You will be fine. All your projects are great!
Hi ladies - loved this edition. What remains from Blackbird was for Traditional Stitches 20th anniversary. That triangular piece that Kathy had in her Easter tin is called a humbug.
Fun video, Molly and Kathy! You shared some great organizing ideas and I loved all of the patterns! Chubby Bunny is so cute- I saw that on another channel so it will be great to see when your order comes in! Molly, your Easter wall is so wonderful-can you show it all or is it in another video? Thanks so much for sharing ’all the things’! Loved seeing it all! God bless!
Still waiting for my chubby bunny, but I did get a couple of cute Easter things and downloaded a Spring freebie...so I have things to keep my stitching. Great to hear from you and thanks for watching!
Oh my, what a great video, it's always such fun. Kathy, sorry your surgery got rescheduled. All of both of your organization ideas were great and such beautiful crafting too. Love spending time with you and seeing all of the stitching possibilities.
Molly I love your organization. I use binders too. I love the idea of listing what kits your threads are in. I have wasted a lot of time hunting down threads. Sorry Kathy has to wait for surgery, but it will happen.
Thank you for another fun video. The organization tips were helpful. I am starting some quick spring smalls. Its not too late. Kathy your tin box was too cute!!
Thank you so very much for sharing. I especially like the floss organization. I purchased all the stuff when you made your other video but haven’t done anything with it as yet. But after tonight and know I must get started! Keep smiling!
I have so many hobbies, and organizing all my crafty stuff is one of my favourite. Could you tell me which video the floss books are in…I think I need to make those! Thanks for sharing your inspiration and passion for my newest hobby.
Hi Molly and Kathy!! I wanted to tell Kathy that I did get the Paisley and Polka dot perpetual calendar. However, if they dont have them anymore i was at the Dollar General Store yesterday and they have several of the perpetual flip calendars in the home section where the summer & seaside home items are. They have the same flip calendars and you can make the box and use then use the month and dates from the inexpensive calendars. . You could even leave them like they are and then attach them to a little box too! Many possibilities! .
So much goodness packed in to this video & I noticed your wall, Molly😉 I absolutely love seeing how others organize all the good stuff & I’m going to try my hand at those thread book/keepers! Mine are organized on the larger rings & in floss bags in baskets, but your way makes them so much prettier & easy to pull from! Thanks for the tips, for sharing what y’all are working on, & for all the smiles & laughter you both bring. Sorry the surgery was moved; that had to have been a real frustration! Happy Stitching 💗🪡🧵🌷🐇
