The great Kapil Dev and the legendary Sunil Gavaskar and their extraordinary boys deserved this honour, for they not only won the World Cup, but they rewrote India and Asia's future in World Cricket and paved the way for our present glory!

Well made too . The shots , the bowling actions were so spot on. And it looked like real matches The visual of introducing all the 4 West Indies fast bowlers together on the net And in terms of emotions, it made me cry so much and especially the 175 knock and the finals
The actors have done a great job..hats off..not easy to act like real players..once in a generation players the real 83 team..brought back all the teenage memories

Me , my husband and our friends really wanted to watch this movie on theatre and was so sad that Omicron wave came and we went into lockdown in Ontario , Canada again. I have watched this movie on Netflix “n” times again and again and every time I watch it I become so emotional. Its more than a movie , its an emotion.
Underrated thing is watching this movie with your parents. As the movie progressed, my father told me how his house was on the edge, what was the feeling and tension during certain matches, how they hated having to play WI. Kapil Paaji's service to indian cricket cannot be understated. So underrated as a player. As the indian team is struggling to find a fast bowling all-rounder, Kapilji is everything the indian team needs today. Will never forgive the media strike that robbed us off what I consider the best ODI innings of all time
Today when seeing this interview my skin shivers. When Paaji says his daughter about Ranveer ji to Paaji I couldn't believe my blood runs through the skin a jerk. The kind of players, morals, true feelings and on the whole with limited allowance of foreign exchange those times are really difficult but resulted in the winning and image building for India. A legend Paaji to share all that small things that made a team is highly remarkable.
I watched this movie in India and cried in some scenes...then i came to UK as a student and watched it ...and cried a river.........this movie hit me so differnetly and made me swell with pride on this team of 83
I usually never comment but I could not stop myself from commenting here. It was such a great movie and the scenes were so emotional that I could not stop my tears. It is an iconic movie and it’s about the great Indian Cricket Legends and I fail to understand that it flopped and it’s such a shame. Just watched it... I felt it to be a slow burner.. After few initial hiccups when the film reaches the climax it just completely sucks you in.. when the end credits rolls n real video photage comes it is just goosebumps moment.. thankyou Netflix & Kabir 🔥👌🏏
Hello from Singapore I neither speak Hindi nor understand cricket very well but this movie - my first ever Hindi movie! - and the first time hearing of the story has had me watching it every evening for must be two weeks. And following up with endless TH-cam interviews and music videos. Utterly captivating. The triumph of the team was so brilliantly captured by Kabir Khan. Every aspect from the dialogue, cast's acting, humour, music, joy and team interactions are savoured. Original men and actors are so good looking and the women lovely, including Kuku's mum. Loved Jimmy's respect for his father, Roger Binny's recovery to dedicate the Man of the Match to his Captain, Srikannth's personal character and speech that was such a defence of his Captain [..."the Gujus, Patels and bhai bhais..." great line], Man Singh (both) throughout. So many more. Kulwant brought great fun each time. Loved the chacha and unity displayed in the side story. And Kapil Dev ... blessings on your family who raised you to be such a humble and wise man with such strength of character and grit. I cannot thank you all enough. This movie needs to seen by every Indian. In my part of the world the majority of Indians are among the poorest and so have so little confidence and self-pride. I am nearly 72, Eurasian (akin to being an Anglo-Indian) with a small amount of Indian blood from Goa 300 years ago ... and have never enjoyed so much the chance to share in the glory of my Indian heritage. India Zinderbad!
