Thanks so much. All the demos do sound amazing especially as it’s intended to be an extension to a full brass library. What are your thoughts on the consistency of the note starts? I prefer to quantize and use predelay. Did you find yourself needing to adjust from patch to patch?
They seemed super consistent across the board, I didn't use any delay compensation on any channel. There were times were a certain attack was more sluggish but that's by design, some marcatos have more bloom and others are sharp and immediate. In the end programming section as well, all I did was copy and paste from patch to patch for trumpets, horns, and trombones, and it sounded absolutely perfect and consistent, and it's the consistency across these sections and how well they sound together that really made this library so enjoyable to use for me.
I belong in the overwhelmed category what with all these articulations. At the moment I'm sticking with about 6 articulations...have to start somewhere!
If you can only pick one brass library, Cinematic Studio Brass is the better option because it is more versatile, and excels at almost every style of brass playing associated with films, games, or even classical scores. It also includes solo and ensemble patches for trumpets, horns, and trombones (there's also solo bass trombone and tuba), whereas Beaufort Brass only includes solo patches for trumpet and horn (bass trombone and tuba are in unison.) However, when it comes to "fanfare" brass, or brass styles commonly associated with punchy, athletic themes (i.e., Star Wars), Beaufort Brass is the better choice. If you already own a workhorse brass library (CSB, Berlin Brass, Spitfire, etc.), Beaufort Brass is an excellent supplemental library. It has the crispiest shorts of any brass library that isn't sample-modeled.

The brass sounds too slick / well-behaved. Where's the sense of "uncontrolled" brutal power that brass also can give.
This is meant to be fanfare brass, which is polite but powerful. It don't get real nasty.
May I ask if there is any delay when using the leg technique?
