@@alsahri055 Samsung has sAMOLED screens at budget range. But yes OLED screens are much more expensive. Samsung has a motorized rotating camera, the A80 at the price of the S10e. Well yeah Apple is going to price those moving parts beyong $1000 for sure.

@ARTYOM G although the sensors of the A80 and the Zenfone 6 are the same Sony IMX 586 48MP. The lens and the software made a big difference.

For real tho, might buy this one. And I won't be bothered with the motor noise considering I prefer Fingerprint
I really want this smartphone and I'm praying that it comes to North America at the $499 price. I really don't care about the whole selfie aspect but as a photographer the opportunity to use this phone for candid photography is immense. Everybody is tuned to see someone using a camera or cellphone to take a picture but they relax when you look like you are just checking your screen. They won't see that the camera is cranked out 90 degrees. This is also going to be fantastic for low level shots like small kids and pets. Also I bet the panoramic feature takes some amazing shots with that huge pixel count. The Z6 is basically a phone/capture device with a built in motorized camera mount. Also that headphone jack allows you to use a short wired lav mic instead of the wireless one that you forgot to charge. It could possibly be the most creative smartphone ever made.
I like the concept. Saving space to give you a bigger battery and have a top quality selfie cam is worth the FLIPPIN noise!

I think it's a great gimmick. The flip camera is very good & a great innovation. It offers much for 499.00. This phone definitely compares to the top dogs. Good job ASUS & has a vastly improved OS!

In screen fingerprint scanners are terrible, I just wish we could go back to the days of thin Bezels, headphone jacks, and normal scanners.

I have been using Asus Zenfone since the 2 . I seen all the changes over the last 5 years. There is one thing that nobody mentions is if you crack you screen on a Zenfone, you can still use your phone mine right now is cracked and I am upgrading to the 6. But for the price and quality . Asus builds good stuff. If your worried about selfies not sure I am not a selfie guy but I am a hardware guy never once in 5 years ever had a problem with hardware in my phone's.
Asus hardware has been top notch from the beginning. Main problem with many people was the software. I didn't mind previous ZenUI (had used ZenFone laser). Now that I have upgraded to ZenFone 6 , it is an awesome experience with near stock android combined with great hardware.
It seems so awesome, not just because I'm as a Taiwanese haha! Thanks for sharing this video.
Even though I live here in Taiwan, Asus' home market. The Silver Twilight color with 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM is not yet in stock. I'll just wait for it, although the black color is available in most stores. 😅
I'm also waiting on this colour with 8gb of RAM.

There's no doubt it's going to be less durable than a normal "dead" phone, but it's also awesome that phone companies now have a mechanical dimension to be creative and compete on, something that we lost basically since iPhone 1!

Cons are really not cons not everyone wants wireless charging and for water resistance just pay more attention and you are good and for LCD display yes its the only con here but hey 500$ with all these its pretty great phone I use both oled and LCD screen I can tell the differences between them but really you wont pay much attention to them.
Right mate! to me, the only phone that can beat this phone in terms of value for money is the K20 pro..I hope Asus would launch a pro version which will upgrade those “CONS” but it would be more expensive for sure, then consumers will still be complaining again..Lol
@@mcappperspective6099 Exactly, the only reason this phone costs 500$ is because they removed Oled wireless and IP thing and honestly these 3 things are not a huge problem to complain we used phones with LCD before and it was okay to use it again with so much better specs and a good quality phone, after all if they added these 3 things to the phone it's probably gonna jump to 800$ so yeah I don't mind to use a phone with LCD by time you wont feel it is an LCD.
zenfone 6 is definitely my next phone.

How far have we come that now a headphone jack is needed to be mentioned if built into a phone...it still should be standard as well as a decent battery. It's that thinner-then-thin design madness that is neither condoning both of the above.
I ordered the Zenfone 6 earlier tonight in the Twilight Silver color 128g 6gs of RAM. I had been looking at this one and just trying to find one with the specs I got for a good deal. I'm curious of how its camera stacks up to the Note 1o camera. Great vlog. Would love to see a camera comparison review you create so well.

The Asus 6z Mobile has the convenience of an auto panorama camera. So I bought an Asus 6z mobile from flipkart. But, the photo from the auto panorama camera is not exactly captured. From the ground to the ceiling, the pieces of the ceiling fan (ON) are shot vertically in the photo. Likewise horizontally the vehicles in the photo were shot broken. That means, auto panorama is utterly useless.
I have Asus Zenfone 5. Now I want this one.
How good was the Asus zenfone 5? How was the software and the battery life? What are the important cons?
@@johnadam1271 I've been using the Asus Zenfone 5 for 3 months now. So far, everything is fairly okay. I am a heavy internet user. So the battery last for a good number of hours. I guess battery would last depends on how you use the phone. It's really a good value for money. I would say the only cons is the front camera if you're a selfie person. It doesn't give you nice photos at low light. But overall, it's a great phone considering the price.

@@johnadam1271 no software buys indeed. I could remember the room temperature, but I'm living in a tropical country so normally outside it's average temperature is 25-30 C. Indoor, it's like 20 C below. It does not heat too much even though I'm using it while charging.

How many flips does the camera can do? Will it last for a lifetime or just for a certain number of flips?
The IPS display actually I count as an upside because it has a great display anyway and it will not suffer from outburns like all of the Amoleds do with time, all the time. I find it also great that it has not an edged screen, I hate those for the reflection they cause, the touch sensitivity on the sides and though reducing a good grips; to me they als make the phones more vulnerable. I like it has a headphone jack which also will allow for an external mic to be used. I think it's a great Creator's phone, ready for Vlogging with it's Flip Camera. The only downside is the lack of any IP certification, but yeah, so what. O yes and that 4K60p video is limited to 5 minutes. But still I consider it a great travel companion for all over the world travel situations.

at 500 usd its a steal. I don"t think LCD is a deal breakers, I prefer it over AMOLED since I think AMOLED hurts our eyes in long term. 5000 MAh is dope.

NORDVPN: Beware. They have a terrible reputation of NOT refunding your subscription if you cancel within the first 'free' month. Awesome phone everyone! I've had it now for two months and no lag or overheating issues. Sure, it may not have all the bells and whistles, (wireless charging, AMOLED screen etc) but it has great specs for the price.

Although Asus is highly marketing this phone through reviews and XDA development and what not, hyping this phone up, I'm still not able to buy this phone through their store in the UK or Ireland. In fact, Asus have taken off this phone from their Ireland website. How is Asus able to provide units to reviewers but not the genuine paying customers? That's ridiculous. C. Support tells mid June as procurement period and it's now July ..sort it out Asus. Or else I might go with the actual flagship you're trying to kill.

If only it was a Samsung screen. If a Note came out with this tech it would be beast, imagine the battery.
It is ALMOST perfect (battery, mini jack, LED notifications (auto-turning off after 25mins, huh), great camera app), but...
1. Vibrations are weak. Comparing to any other phone it is just not the best motor.
2. Calls quality is poor. I have tested a few frameless phones with speaker in the upper part of a case, but that one is really done wrong. All people around me can hear it better than me, because it is faced up, not 'into' the ear.
3. It has big problems with water resistance and humidity resistance.
I still using zenfone 3 from asus, and it's still good like the begin...:)

Super inky black and like always super oversaturated colour on amoled panel mehh. That's why I Like much more IPS pane,l for the natural colour and no problem with the burned screen :).

I thought the $500 level option had the 6gb RAM and 64gb ROM making the 8gb of RAM with 128gb ROM the top end of pricing as I think there s also a 6gb RAM with 128gb ROM? Or is there also another one with 256gb ROM?

I only heard 6GB RAM-64GB ROM in Indian market. Coz here in Taiwan, basic variant is 6GB RAM-128GB ROM and this is the variant that has the price of $500. And yeah the higher variant is 8GB RAM-256GB ROM. Oh there is also the highest variant, 12GB RAM-512GB ROM, for Asus 30th Anniversary.
ZoroKun20 - do we know anything about the 30th anniversary edition yet? I think that also has the typical machining on the phone that was on the previous model(s). Thank you.

Asus 6z has 100% dci-p3 colour gamut which makes the phone display look vibrant than amoled displays..Asus has one of the best ips displays which is close to an amoled
The UK seems to always get a bad deal. 500 dollars is less than GBP 400. Still they have to pay GBP 500.

I have Zenfone 2 and Zenfone 4. Both doesn't have overheating issue, and still working perfectly fine. Altho I heard that the first gen. of Zenfone are real crap. 😂

@@ananyasahoo2615 Initially I did have alot of problems. My phone had come with manufacturing defect cause of which it used to shut down randomly. The main problem started when the customer service was shit. They took 2 months to repair my phone after countless number of harsh emails but i chose not to buy another phone cause I knew that this phone is good and I was unlucky to get a defected model.
Cut to present day. I haven't faced any issues with the phone its been more than a year now since I got it. The battery life is good. It still is the best selfie camera cause your rear camera turns into the front one. Overall experience is fine. I have been getting updates regularly. Call quality was really bad when I got it but the updates have made it better.
But i wouldn't suggest you to get this in 2020 as there are many good phones out there at the same price point. If you were buying it a year back then I would have recommended it.

So amazing phone. But can't buy it because its not in the stock. I had the Zenfone 6 8+256gb 599€ ordered for a 30 days didn't get it, "maybe in 2weeks". My recent phone is breaking down, so I ordered the Honor view 20 8+256gb 399€ from sale. Btw for the prices Im from Finland.

A80 can't even record in selfie mode4k60 on rear camera only 1080p30, and can't even use it's wide angle..and stock always way better that oneui...massive battery, and not on that way cheaper...so why are saying it's better??
