This summer transfer window for Arsenal is what I usually do in FIFA career mode😂
For the longest time, I've had to watch every other club buy every single player I would target in FIFA career mode😂
@@cameronuy9552 oh the pain. Made me play career mode even more. Like revenge
@@Blue_Pumpkin Trying to fix them in-game since they wouldn't do the things in real life😂
Do you normally win nothing too?
Usually finish out of top 5 but still winning FA cup or European League every now and then, until the youngsters finally grew to 86+ rating then we start winning title and cups
This is easily the best arsenal coverage and analysis channel on TH-cam. With only 40k subscribers there is so much room for growth. Good luck with the project mate

As an Ajax fan. Timber can play CB, with added flexibility to be play in the RB role(wingback/fullback). He's a good baller but he needs a stable defence to function.
Last Season at Ajax he basically lost all his partners (Tagliagico, Martinez, Mazraoui) and it showed as he had a harder season with inexperienced or unproven players next to him and he didnt have what it takes to be a leader of the defense.
Thats why I think, if u put him in a stable defense with a someone who can keep him focused (he mentioned Martinez helped him become better and do that). I think he can succeed at Arsenal.
As an CB im a bit concerned about the Physicallity in the premier league as Timber is definitely NOT a physical player (meh/ok in the air and physically below pm standards), but he makes up for it with strong build up play. I think he fits better on the RB position and invert inwards in possesion for the build up.
like Martinez (who was the more physical of the two), he actually is very good at pre-empting the play around him and has a short burst of speed to cover a gap.. this year the Ajax defence was a piece of shit, let's be honest :D too many players left. But look at Timber in the national team. He is definitely a ball-playing defender, and moves forward with the ball a lot.
He will make Saka so much better
looking at havertz, rice, and timber stats, I get the feeling that arteta wants players who can progress the ball either through carrying or passes. Basically all 3 players are hella fast, make a lot of forward passes while being somewhat accurate and good at defending even havertz.
I think what arteta wants to do is not allow opponents to play in Arsenal half even more than last season. we had crazy field tilt stats last season, but this season is gonna be even crazier. The idea is that if opponents don't even get to make it to arsenal half, they clearly can not score, and if they get the chance to get to our half, we have capable players who are aggressive pressers, who will close spaces and progress and transition the ball super fast to opposition half immediately to create counter attack.
How else can you progress the ball if not through carrying or passing?
@@cancionCR7 that's why he is bringing players who excel at those two and also very good at defending.
so we are doing the same thing next season?
Havertz is hella fast and defense well ? Pass me whatever you are smoking right now
@@eleonarcrimson858 It worked, why change it?
Except defensively we are going to be stronger, and more threat on counter attack.
Signing timber might mean we might be able to incorporate tierney into the team (basically make him the left sided ben white - overlap whenever you see a chance) with timber doing the mirror of zinchenko in the right. This would also lessen stress on zinchenko and white, add unpredictability and provide tactical flexibility in defense to tackle different kind of wingers across different teams in the league. A very exciting and a welcome addition to the defense. Cant wait for the new season!
Tierney & Timber won't play together
@@looniaz why not?
just a nice stat for you to share with your friends. During the 2021/2022 season Ajax's defensive record for the first half of the season:
League: 17 played, 2 conceded (48 scored)
Champions league: 6 played, 5 conceded (20 scored)
Cup: 2 played, 0 conceded (14 scored)
That was with Timber and Martínez. After the winter break our GK got injured and we had no proper back-up so defensive record declined quite a bit.
@@Kazzzz12 1. KT is not as good as Zinny when on the ball or when inverted into DM.
2. KT & Timber are not as tall & physical as Kiwior or Saliba for that LCB or RCB role.
3. If we're gonna use Timber as an inverted RB, the LCB must be Kiwior. Just like what we saw in the last 2 games of last season.
@@looniaz the original comment wasn't about Tierney playing at centre-back but rather in his natural left-back position. the point is if we sign Timber, it could potentially mean Tierney could feature more regularly in his preferred traditional left-back role -- hence why he mentioned White -- as Timber would invert on the right instead. This could give us some flexibility tactically while affording us some unpredictability regarding our lineup. it's pretty obvious that post-World Cup, opposition teams started to scheme and target the space vacated by Zinchenko; which in turn forced him to try to defend the wide spaces on our left-hand side. With the addition of Timber and the unpredictability it provides, teams would first need to know who is playing before being able to setting-up/scheme a specific game plan. They cannot get away with just targeting Zinchenko. That's the point @venkatavaradhanvembanoorla228 was making.
We suffered when Saliba went out injured and I see this as a chance to allow White more time as a CB so that we can reduce the chance of Saliba getting burnt out/ injured and derailing our season again. Or maybe allow Tomi to be more of a Saliba backup as he is good in the air and this could allow us to manage his fitness a bit better?
Saliba and Tomiyasu got injured at the same time, that's awful luck
tomi couldn’t keep up as an outside defender so yes it will be great to have the option of pairing tomi or white with justin on the outside right
@@88benz You mean Justin Timber-lake?
…I trust the process, every year we’ve improved and pretty much every signing has been a success this far, I watched Havertz a lot in Germany and I think Arteta will be able to bring the Leverkusen Kai back around, Rice in a given to improve the level of the midfield & as this video illustrates Timber is a multi dimensional player as are Kai & Declan so it will make us more unpredictable going forwards. Our front four are already performing brilliantly and when you add these new guys into the mix it’s an exciting time to be an Arsenal fan. It’s been a long time coming! 🙌🏻
We were transitioning between a 3-2-5, 2-3-5 and a 2-2-6 game by game all season and in game all season. I believe Timber is the reason we won't be signing Caicedo. He'll do everything we envisioned Caicedo would have done, operating from RB and inverting. He's the Caicedo alternative!
Good point .. they are very similair

@@hanx3560 that was more down the line of Football Manager than FIFA.. I think he's spot on!
I think Arteta is aiming for a step-change at Arsenal that evolves football, like Wenger did. With five subs, the game has to be played differently, more in phases. He's got a touch of the nutty professor about him too.

Just discovered TDK, great analysis. Look forward to seeing more
If he is an upgrade on Rob holding, then that is what we need. The backline has depth for the first time in a long time.
Zinchenko Gabriel Saliba B. White
Tierney Kiwior Timber Tomiyasu
Even I’m a upgrade on Holding. Timber will be a good signing for us if it gets done.
Or he could be a RB, and Tomiyasu turned back into a right sided CB. To eliminate that aerial issue with Timber.
I see Ben White as RCB cover. Timber will most likely play RB
he will easily replace white at rb
Arsenal have been moving different lately and I love it. We are truly back to competing for the best honors.❤
Maybe you should actually win before you say anything
Never seen your content but it’s formats great definitely gonna keep watching
I’ve been very excited about Timber. He’s going to be an upgrade on white and both add as backup to when Saliba and Gabriel get injured.
For some reason I’m mostly excited about Kai havertz I think he will cook and be an upgrade on xhaka
I think Arteta is looking to turn Haverts into a prime Aaron Ramsey type player. Not our number 10 but showing up with goals when needed
Same! I’ve got a really good feeling about him.
@@akafaze9873 I think he will be free at arsenal more free than xhaka was last season but one thing for sure he is not coming in to play striker or as a winger thank god for that

He reminds me of Alaba same height and similar technicality. I think arteta will invert him at LB like how pep use cancelo

Looking back at 2022-2023, Timber makes sense. The goals from Walcott for southampton, Debruyne for city, Awoniyi for nottingham, Rice for Westham. we needed someone insanely quick and with a Centre back experience. All players causes displacement for the opponent as well to create chances.
spot on man. he fits the Arteta dynamics as a player.

Exactly, all about flexibility. Especially when we need to assist and play against a lower block after a first period of the game where we had been playing against a high press.

Awesome vid
I love his *BALLS* 😂😂 Great Video ⚡️
I can tell you as ajax fan since born that timber would be a very great signing. I actually expected him to move to barcelona.
Timber is maybe not the tallest but he compensate that with many other qualities. He is strong, position himself very well, brave, he read the game, he can dribble and most important he is a really good defender. As striker you wont have an easy game when you play against him.
I hope he get the chance and develop into a star😊💪 arsenal fans will enjoy him
Would be interesting if we tried timber as rb with white taking parteys role, and then rice as our new Xhaka. A very physical lineup i guess but could be really good for some matches, I think white would thrive in that role
Bro, maybe you can put posters on your background? Like retro or some unusual Arsenal posters? A plain background is good but posters could level up your presentation. Love your content!
Great video
I have been talking about him for a month, he's a clear upgrade to White.
TDK😂😂😂😂 I love this lol 🔥
Glad to come back to the video since I’m really hoping Timber will return for City and Bayern. I’m surprised more isn’t being said about his anticipated return and impact.
I think the real reason for the signing of Timber is because Holding will be sold and they’ll use white as the back up centre back. But I think it’ll be a battle between white and Timber for first choice
And Timber most likely to win that batle
@@a.y.galadima7917 I think that’s the way it’ll go as well. The guy looks talented

I'm a bit biased cause I'm Dutch but I really think Timber is all around a very good player, in a possession system I think he will thrive immensely.
I'm a United fan, but I really do hope he makes it in the prem.
Been waiting...
TDK your videos are constantly a test of different flavors full of details. i have a suggestion to make. can you make a video analysis on the player's talents and technical attributes, like ESR and Pepe, and how they can be used in the new system with different dimensions if utilized ❓

Very nice work 🫡
The different GOAT
If Timber covers ybe inverted Right back role then I would love to see how White fares alongside Saliba in the middle of Defence. Competition for Gabriel would be epic.
Kiwior is Gabriel's competition.
Yea apart from aerial duels he's a superb cb / rb.
He does love to invert as well and very good in possession.
He ain't as good as Lisandro tho but he's very good. I'm very excited with this transfer.
You nailed it on his weakness in the air. I think he is a good fit in right back when we are dominating possession. But he may be a problem when we are defending a lot against teams like City and Liverpool. He is also not great at 1 v 1. So in my opinion, he is not a great upgrade from White...but I guess he does give us depth so that is good. TOmiyasu has to go I guess? I just don''t think he is a backup for Saliba. Maybe the Polish guy is..we'll see.
TDK is the most relatable football TH-camr solely because he can't resist a single, solitary pun
what do u have to say abt the tchoumani link
Don't let Ajax see this before deal goes through!
As I can understand he played as a center back all matches last season in Ajacs
Hence the name Timber!
Arsenal's class of 2001 is gonna be one for the history books, Saka, Martinelli, Saliba and Timber, it would be even better if Balogun stays
Haven't heard of Kieran-Newcastle links in around 2 months. Wonder if its still happening? 🤔
Maybe not. If we have timber as inverted rb, arteta might use tierney as touchline lb.
@@ayell91I think it’ll still be Tomiyasu over Tierney tbh.
@@ayell91What’s so different about Timber than White than would make Tierney play more?

lol chill bro
@@88benz lol
Let the curls go and be free man 😉
I see him as a necessity, he’s the move to allow Partey to go and I think that’s where he going to play as a right sided holding, we’re letting two of our most important players go, it was the first time we were strong there since the invincibles and we’re letting them both go. Rice and Timber vs Xhaka and Partey…..
he's a center back, not a midfielder.
Rice & Havertz are Partey & Xhakas replacements.
@@MWBeatsTheBeatBaker Havartz played a CF for Chelsea last season, he’s at best an attacking mid or winger he gives us options, he is not an offensive DM like Xhakar. I maintain, we need a Partey replacement and Timber fits the bill, look at his heat map, it wasn’t right wing, it was right DM, in my limited view, he fits our system well there…someone to mop up, that’s what we used Partey for and he is one of the best at it.
@@daarom3472 look at his heat map, he’d fit our system better as DM also gives option of RB and CB but if not him then who is going to play mop up if Partey goes?
@@123kaired agree he was pretty average, but he’s come into form, look at his stats vs someone that’s considered the best Casemiro, for the 22/23 season Xhaka blew him out the water. So past form isn’t current form. Midfield is a big place…..we’ll see, I doubt very much that Havartz will play a holding role.
I know it’s only Footy Manager but the amount of times I’ve found a young player under the radar who turned out to be great in real life. For the last few years I’d always get Timber and use him as a DM who press resistant and can link the defence to the attack with his passing range
