Just as I don't mind having the leopard 2A4 and 2A6 in the Swedish tech tree, I wouldn't mind having the leopard 2E in the German tech tree.
After the most recent update, I feel the British L27A1 round on Challenger 2 tanks kind of nerfed a lot. For a lot of side pen, it does not quite produce reasonable amount of spawling, just go through side to side straight. Your video of DM53 shows some pretty similar things. It usually happens in long range shot like 500 + meter range.
Really? That’s stupid. It’s not like British tanks were the easiest to play to begin with. While I don’t play top tier much anymore I suspect that the Russian APFSDS rounds still spall like crazy.

If you take a closer look at the protection analysis, the side skirt have almost the same protection. I guess Challenger 2F just has some black magic in its armor.
I'm still peeved that we didn't get that many uniquely Finnish vehicles, no AMV variants, not even the Finnish modifications of the bmp-2, t-55 or t-72.
Correct me if I'm wrong, my memory is kinda fuzzy these days but right after the introduction of the 2A6, Gaijin nerfed the DM53 from long rod to short rod, I wonder if they reverted the change and if that's the cause of inconsistent damage with it. When it comes to post pen effect, personally, I prefer DM43/OFL120F1 or even Chinese 125mm, DM53 kinda lacks post pen effect for me.
Fun fact, the Finnish have applied improvements to the 2A6 similar to the Spanish Leopard 2E (improved 2A5), line an extra wheel to help with detracting or extra UFP armour (like in the Swedish 2A5), so they can add even more and better 2A6 to them
do you have a source for this? I don't remember any armour upgrades having been done to the Finnish leopard 2a6 fleet. The 2a4 were given an upgrade package to keep them relevant in the 2020s but as far as I can find the content of that upgrade hasn't been specified.

The biggest difference imo are helis like only US/UK/USSR and China will have good trees. Maybe ITA if they will add A249 in future
For those complaining about copy past.. I would love to see some beefy Hungarian 2A6 in italy tree. Sure unique stuff is cool, but if every other nation eats you alive, some stuff that works would be better.
Japan could seriously get 2 southkorean lines with a mixed light and SPAA line and 1 dedicated MBT line. I think every ingame nation should get the love that the big 3 get. Would be fine for me.

Just my opinion but why Grind germany for top tier Instead of Sweden now because well Sweden has a much better line up the only thing i think is better at the german side now is the tiger heli and i really believe germany should get a new mbt like the leopard 2a7 or even a better 2a6 version but just my opinion this kind of made me unhappy 🙁 because well the leopard mainly came from germany and i just feel germany has less leopards than Sweden

Also the cannon is not as stabilized as a Leo, abrams, Russian tanks ( gun depression) . It’s not good ,and I would add the rest of the Swedish tanks and ifv sucks to , you can’t count the leopards cuz they are German .

In reality DM53 would not bounce on it, long rod APFSDS have to hit at 83° or higher to not penetrate. They don't bounce like older shells, they shear so that the remaining rod still tries to stay straight. In simulations a 38mm plate at 82° like the Abrams UFP struggled to stop anything better than Soviet 3BM42M

the new space behind gunners optic is a storage container which is used to store tools for repairing the vehicle, such as track tensioners.

I've found my 2a6 bounces more shots and fires flatter at long range. 2a5 is great for cqb and close range due to the shorter barrel.
@@uthopia27 my guess is In city maps the 2a6 longer barrel kinda makes it alot easier to destroy compared to the shorter barrel on the 2a5
