I really relate to what the shaykh said at 21:53. Practicing arabic and not being shy is a very important aspect to improving. Barakallah feekum
Mashallah, seeing a brother who is a non-native Arabic speaker understand and speak Arabic better than me (first generation Arab in US) is very humbling. This inspires me to strengthen my language and learn more to teach my future children insha' Allah.

a year for somebody who is diligent and consistent is a lot of time. Truly. A lot of systems work, be it the andalus institute, a private teacher, or for those that don't have a lot of money to spend free youtube courses. There are 2 playlists that I mainly used to study and I made it a habit to listen to arabic content that I find interesting and when I came to egypt some time ago Alhamdulillah I could communicate with everybody and spoke better Arabic than a lot of the students that have been studying a year or two.
Success is in asking Allah constantly and then providing the means in a manner which one can afford, and then keep making dua and sticking to one's efforts.
And what are those 2 playlists you said about?
Kindly advise also..barakaAllah feeka
Yes please
I have the same question@@sayrats
This guy teased us then went silent what the hell
Salamualaykum, he’s absolutely correct when he says it shouldn’t take no more than a year to speak, to understand, to read, and to be understood. I’ve mixed many different methods in my learning and alhamdulilah I can say I can understand and be understood. Just focused now on sharpening grammar and vocabulary.
No doubt !
What methods have you tried?
Vaalaykumussalam
Could you maybe share more on what kind of methods you used? BarakAllahu feek in advance
جزاكم الله خيرا، زوجتي كانت معلمة لغة عربية في امريكا وكانت تشتكي من نفس المشاكل التي ذكرها الدكتور ، جزاه الله خيرا ، وشكرا على الفيديو
First, thank you for your efforts. May Allah reward you and all those contributing to the teaching and learning of the Arabic Language. Second, the Shaykh is right on point. The best way to go about learning any language is to benefit from the commonality and usage of everyday speech. Then, one can go further into the language and learn the specific subjects in details, like nahw, sarf, balagah, etc… I’m a healthcare professional and when I started my medical education, I had to take medical terminology before diving deep into any and all my medical classes. I’m a native English speaker. Thus, what the Shaykh said about learning the commonalities of the language first is very important and is often overlooked. May Allah grant us the patience and ability to gain his favors. Allahumma Ameen!

The best book series. May Allaah reward this Shaykh immensely, ameen
I read al arabiyyah bayina yadayka and understand many vocabularies, statements, conversations, and many things, it's a very important book if someone ready book 1 to book3 then he can catch up arabic language, but in addition Quran word by word also very important if someone read Quran from surah fatiha to surah sunnas by word by word translation he can catch up many arabic vocabularies too.
We have the Glorius Quran which is a word for word in English, the Arabic language. Its is very helpful..if one can purchase it...please do do...
I have a question, what I know is Al Arabiyyah Bayina has 4 books. What is that 4th book? You mention books 1-3. So I wanna know what is the book 4?
Reading the word by word translation isnt gonna help, you need to know the form that the verb is in. How to use the nouns and verbs with what particle it comes with and what it does in order to understand.
Very interesting!thanks a lot. Jazak Allah khayran
May Allah swt bless you both immensely in your efforts 🤲🏻

Assalamu alikum wa Rahmatullahe wa Barakata, thank you so much for such a rich and insightful interview. I found your questions really interesting that you posed the the Sheikh. And his replies seemed so clear and logical, no doubt he has gained treasures of knowledge of the mubarak language and he knows what he's talking about. May Allah (Tabarak wa ta 'Aala) bless you both for spreading so much goodness and making it possible for muslims around the world to be able to understand the very words of Allah (Subhana wa ta 'Aala). Please keep up the great work and conduct more such amazing interviews. Jazak Allahu Khairan.

To have this opportunity and sit with the author, that must be an honour. Asking him to see your program or way of teaching what he thinks about it and what you need to change this is what you call a really good teacher! Not just that but taking risk by asking questions which might get answers that can be to different from his own ways of teaching at his Institute and than to put it out for all of us to see it is. Just brave and very honest, he got my repsect for that. Very rare to find teachers like that. May Allah bless them, Ameen.

Afwan, The syeikh mentioning Raya Institue in Indonesia, may i ask the link for that institute? I have search on google but haven’t found it yet.
Salam aleykum Brother. May Allah reward you for sharing the knowledge and put baraka in your initiatives. You mention in Mauritania they memorise a lexicon of all triple forms verbs. Where can I find such a lexicon? Jazaka Allah khairan.
Alaikum assalam wa rahmatu Allah wa barakatuhu
They memorise something like Lisan al arab, regular classical dictionaries
Jazaka Allah khairan akhi. Lisan al Arab is a huge lexicon. I am not on that level... 😔. Anyway thanks for your work. I will keep building up and learning more vocabulary in sha Allah. I agree with you and the Sheikh practicing is essential in any language not so easy when you don't live amongst Arabs.
Very insightful interview. BarakAllah feek.
I want to recycle a question which you asked the author because I didn’t see a clear answer… How do you get to the point where you can understand the books of scholars on various subjects? For example, I’ve read the first and half of the second Madinah Arabic books, and studied basic Sarf, but I can’t really understand books by Ibn Al-Qayyim yet. So how and when do you get to the point where you can begin to understand books in Arabic?
This will help In sha Allah: th-cam.com/video/3Y9xOja-xSU/w-d-xo.html

seeing you guys made me want to quit studying jordanian dialect and get back on arabiyya beyna eedek
You should fusha is the way
Study fusha akhi then any other dialect after, unless it's urgent to learn that dialect asap. Taht way you have the foundation of all dialects
@@user-zu6qu1uj8r Im doing shami first because I want to speak and hear and use arabic in everyday speech and have in ingrained in my brain. since talking shami arabic everyday subhanallah anything i hear in the quran or want to memorize is easier.
