    I have service on top of my ridge but not at the bottom where my food plot is. I bought one and put it up in a tree and it works at the food plot now. I think they are meant more to get height more than more gain hence the long cable. Without it the cell signal was just going right over my head.

    Can you test these antennas with an SWR meter for the required frequencies and compare the results? The closest to a 1:1 SWR should “work” best. Thanks for all the great videos. 🤝

      These are all preset widebanded designed for less than 1.5swr acrossthe bands used. I used to own a two-way radio business and, back in the day and I set up many antenna systems, so I appreciate your thoughts around this.

    FYI .... Antennas should be "Vertical", and any "Metal" (Truck tailgate) will effect the cellular signal.

      That's assuming signal at the location is vertically polarized. And yes metal surfaces do reflect RF as well as have an affect on standing wave ratio

    Is there a adapter that I can purchase to make the Ridgetec antenna compatible with a Spypoint camera?

    • @herd360
      @herd360  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. I have those on my website herd360.com

      @@herd360 Thank you for your reply. I will check your site. This was a really good antenna testing video by the way

      My question is this. If I buy a extension cable say 15 ft. long. Then put a splitter at the top and put two or three factory antennas connected to the splitter will I get 2 or 3 times gain? I have seen splitters with 1 female and both 2 and 3 males. Most trail cam companies sell replacement antennas.
      So it seems to me a 15 foot extension cable with a splitter and 3 factor antennas at the top should be a huge boost? Yes or No????
      Also do you sell the 15ft. Cables and splitters?

    Mike have u run the same test with the reveal?

    • @herd360
      @herd360  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have customers using them on Reveals. The reveal doesn't show signal in percentage like the Ridgetec so you can't easily measure the gain. Results would be the same as they all receive cellular signal.

    Do you happen to know if this antenna will work with the connection on the Moultrie Delta Base camera?

    • @herd360
      @herd360  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's an sma or rp sma it will but need to order it with the rp sma adapter

    I have a place i cant get a cell cam to work at all with no signal. Do you think this will make it get signal to work?

    • @herd360
      @herd360  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There must be some cellular signal present in the area. If not then there is nothing for the antenna to receive.

    How is camera powering on without batteries?

    • @herd360
      @herd360  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It has an external battery plug in

      Actually the Ridgetec and the Directional I sell work really well. I have a bunch of repeat customers of both of those antennas with tons of great feedback

      Infact here is a message I received from a customer yesterday when he got his directional set up.
      "Bumped the signal up to strong from 1 bar. Camara started sending pics of me picking up my tools"
