You can never go wrong with the axiom "All TH-cam sponsorships are outright scams or the products are complete garbage" because they universally are.
Nothing wrong with getting paid, but maybe work in a devious and subtle way to defame the product you're flogging. Innocent people listen to endorsements and spend hard earned money on total garbage, and you're an integral part of that sadness.

Everything that happened in Yerba Buena, from start to finish, was only six weeks.
The transformation from a farming village to a *literal pagan blood cult* happened in a month and a half.
It's amazing and existentially horrifying how quickly everything can change.

the 2nd story - that poor kid Sebastian ran 15 miles, scared to death, tells the authorities about what he encounters. They don't believe him at first, but then decide to send ONE COP & POOR SEBASTIAN all the way back to check out his story.
Sebastian & the cop were then tortured & killed. That is the saddest thing ever, I feel so bad for Sebastian. I mean, I feel bad for everyone that lost their lives here, but Sebastian I just really feel for, because he went all the way back there, just to be killed,
after running 15 miles, scared to death to tell the authorities about his harrowing encounter. That is soo messed up.

Honestly that’s probably why they didn’t take him seriously. Imagine running 15 miles after witnessing something you couldn’t comprehend. He had all that adrenaline and shock in him, he probably looked like he was in something when he got there. Too bad he ended up being killed by what he saw, the cop should’ve been more cautious if he really did believe Sebastian at all, they could’ve maybe been okay if they hadn’t gone alone. But it’s truly terrifying to imagine.

A guy showed up at my friends house once an hour or 2 after he had got out of his car to try and help and seen some really bad stuff in a wreck on highway, and let me tell ya, you could easily see in his eyes and face he was not fkin around, he had a permanent shocked look, seemed like adrenaline pumping and was just all out of wack.. So at least in this example there was no question it had happened, I can’t imagine a guy in this state after running 15 miles not be taken serious. Shit is terrible.

Honestly that 1st case was a GENIUS idea for investigators to get forensic evidence check on a suspect who has no other "signs" of criminal activity. I wish more police forces would be as creative as that. *I can't stand when investigations stall because "they dont know how the criminal entered the crime scene without the use of force, or they find suspicious things but it's about someone who has no history of violent/criminal activity." (Like it's impossible for someone to have secrets/or find ways to enter places without physically breaking something...?) It frustrates me so i appreciate the high quality level of detective work that was done to solve that 1st case.

There's actually a criminal case in Brazil where a group of cannibals actually sold food made with human flesh in 2008
Google "Canibais de Garanhuns " or "Garanhuns Cannibals" if you're curious, I'm surprised none of these true crime channels ever talked about this one tbh.
Garanhuns is a city in the State of Pernambuco in The northeastern region of Brazil, and it's actually close to the city I was born so I was really scared at the time x.x
Edit: I remember interviews with people who had bought their food, saying it tasted so bad they just threw it away.

#1Very few true crime documentaries or channels cover cases from South America. I have no idea why that is, just a pattern I have noticed.
#2 Humans will rarely admit to eating human flesh. Historically, the eaters have claimed they were delusional, have no memory of it, deny it completely, or say they were forced. The stigma associated with it is very powerful, and rightfully so. Realistically, humans being animals, are going to have varied uh, flavors, kind of the way a wild hog will taste different than domesticated fat and lazy 'factory' hog that has never walked more than 20 steps in it's life. I'm sure a marathon runner is going to be different than a 40 year old gamer who takes 5 anxiety meds a day and hasn't seen daylight in 2 months.
The reason I am using Pigs as an example is that Pig is most commonly what human is said to taste like. Not at all considering our physical similarities with pigs.

There were 2 different withdrawals, 1000 Euros from the son's girlfriend's bank account, and then 9850 CHF from the mother's account. Combined, that adds up to about $11000
So there was a withdrawal of 1000 Euros and the total amount was around $11000, it was just the second, larger withdrawal wasn’t mentioned. I’d guess it was accidentally deleted while the video was being edited, and he didn’t notice it was missing while watching it back to “proofread” bc more egregious editing mistakes are also present (like one point where he says the same sentence twice)

If you were going to mix human with animal meat, pork would be the one to do it with. It is not like there is a ton of info on what humans taste like but two things have always stood out to me. One is that names for and/or descriptions of the taste from different cannibalistic cultures (all from the Pacific region iirc) that existed until fairly recently either explicitly or implicitly refer to pork when describing human meat. The other is that I have heard firefighters describe their dislike of pork BBQ by describing it as reminding them too much of what people smell like when burned. Including firefighters who used to love pork BBQ.
It is basically a bunch of anecdotal stuff and I have never seen anything academic relating to language that proves the connection with pork in those cultures that still practiced cannibalism. However I wouldn't expect much along those lines either. These are cultures that changed or died out before any of our grandparents were born (more or less) and I wouldn't expect too many firefighters to be that candid with many people. But I do feel that while they should be taken with a big grain of salt, there really might be something here.

With the last story, I think the suspect having a portion of his index finger cut off was not a coincidence. This is a common form of punishment in the yakuza, so I believe he had ties to organized crime. Perhaps the couple did owe money from gambling debts, but it's likely that they had either been coerced with physical violence into signing away the deeds to their properties, or these documents had been fabricated entirely. In Canada, where I'm from, the max sentence someone can receive is 25 years for murder, but if they get a "Dangerous Offender" label stamped to their file, they can be incarcerated until that designation is lifted. We have some awful serial killers and brutalizers of children who get the D.O. classification, which is just a way to keep them locked up indefinitely.
Robert Picton, who murdered between 26 and 49 women, was charged with second-degree murder and has to serve 25 years before he's eligible for parole, but I have a sneaking suspicion that his parole will be denied and he'll die in prison. There's a fine line between rehabilitation and keeping monsters away from the rest of us. The exceptional criminals usually die in prison in Canada.

My Padrino was the Governor of Prisons in Mexico and whilst I lived with him during a couple summers, because my dad had died, and he knew my interest in becoming a criminal profiler he took me to see Magdalena Solis and Alfredo Trevino, both were kind the basis of Hannibal Lector. Both were fascinating, though only Magdalena was terrifying. If I hadn't known better about Trevino I probably would have gladly followed him anywhere so intelligent, interesting and charismatic he was. She was completely mad and bloodthirsty. Trevino, however was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant and gentleman. I never did become a profiler after I witnessed the autopsy of a 9 month girl who had been viscously raped to death, but to this day I still treasure the opportunities to have seen and talked to such monsters up close.

any power corrupts absolutely. power requires a hierarchy, the stability of a hierarchy requires violence. so if you have power, that's because other people are forced to be on the bottom tiers of whatever hierarchy you are at the top of via violence

16:59 This all sounds like The Road to El Dorado, if it had gone more poorly. Insane.

Just to add the Magdalena Solís case is very likely an urban legend that originated in the English speaking world. No Mexican, even those who live in San Luis Potosí has heard of it and newspapers from the area don't cover it, the Spanish language wikipedia mostly sources English language sources that are pulpy and unreliable. A Guadalajara newspaper that has been around since the 1910s hasn't mentioned anything and Guadalajara is a major city quite close to San Luis Potosí. Considering how salacious this is I'd have expected at least one Mexican I've met to have heard of this story, especially living in Guanajuato a very conservative state directly south of San Luis Potosí but none have ever heard of it. The only sourced photos of the woman are of a Danish serial killer, which you yourself used in the video. The fact the men additionally used Incan gods, but also mixed in a Mexica god points to this story being fake as most Mexicans would have a rudimentary understanding of the Mexica gods, especially if they knew of the Inca. The truly interesting thing I think now is to find out where the story came from and who created it.

@rohansheils4187 Hey, there's someone in these comments claiming to have spoken to Magdalena. So while I agree with your argument why it might be bull, maybe you can comment something. Very interesting stuff. @LozenColorado is the @

Glad someone else pointed this out. The entry in this video is basically just a recitation of the Wikipedia article, which is plastered with "unreliable source" and "factual accuracy disputed" headers. He just had to read the talk page on the Wikipedia to find out that this entire story is bullshit.

Your videos are so viewable/listenable, not only because of your story telling & structure styles but i think the fact you can go into the darker parts without it feeling super grim is great!!
sometimes the deep dark feelings attached with these incidents are too much.

I think about that second story a lot. Specifically I think about the other cops. I wonder how long it took for them to start feeling a little nervous. Did someone crack a joke about how, maybe they really were sacrificing someone in that cave? How long did they tel themselves they were getting worked up over nothing? How long until they broke and went looking?

The second story is largely fictional. The information is taken from a extremely sensationalistic Mexican tabloid in the 70s
