I’m glad I cancelled my pre order just days before it was due for delivery. Sorry LongBow… this is a sad site from Silverback highlighted even more because the MDR-X has been long awaited. I’m a real Bullpup fan boy so was very excited to pre order my MDR-X but thanks to Jaeger Precision’s videos I hope Silverback take this on board & improve on the next batch.. if they do.. I will purchase one at that point.. SILVERBACK take note!
One month in, does silverback responded to how may they fix the issue ? Will they sell new trimmed gear sets ? Or will they only fix it for new owners with a « v2 »
Each gearbox is different. If you can measure it. Get the gear thickness to roughly 12.2mm and then go from there. Some require more. Some require less
Great job. Now it really sound how it's supposed to be. Shame on you Silverback. Currently MDR-x is one of the mose expensive AEG on the market and such things are just unacceptable at this price.
I guess there is no place for this big box... Why don't you go and buy sr25 and stop b*tching ;) Also they are somehow pioneers in a way! I love that company...
Forgot to teplý to last sentence; did you tried that? I am currently designing some "plug'n'play" piston release mechanism and then I will send it to Stalker and SBA. What do you do to make things better?

Shame we can't use a warhead brushless motors in these either imo the motor they have chosen is noisy unless I'm just spoiled now by warheads amazing stuff
For those saying "But they can fix it!", the only reason they would bother is if enough victims buy this dumpster fire version. They're not going to produce any more if nobody (rightfully) buys these ones.

I'm not sure if you mentioned it in the video, but do you run it without the anti reversal latch?
Jeager, so essentially, making the bevelgear around 1,5mm thinner, should be the whole fix?

@@Jaeger-Precision i see tjat mine us around 12,5 mm thick. Guess you measure the gear, without thr 2 axles.
Im running 13:1 CNC Gears, much faster and smoother then the Original one.

How much did you take off the gear? Sounds a heck of a lot better.
probably 1-1.5mm at a guess. I am use to working by sight and feel. Its a bad habit

Again why didn't they just do a sr25 gearbox in it since its classed as a dmr?? That gearbox in it won't do the dmr power it needs

What problems have you had with your TAC-41? I've been pleasantly surprised with mine, but I suspect I have the "fixed" version.
