We did at home insemination with my 2nd bc i was having extreme pain during intercourse at that time. We knew there was no way we could afford fertility treatment n i really didn't need it bc the issue had nothing to do with fertility. I started looking for at home options. I was skeptical but was willing to try. It was really basic. I didnt purchase a kit. I just used ovulation strips from cvs n bc i am a nurse i was able to get some things from work. I got medicine droppers (like the ones they give u with kids rxs at the pharmacy) for the insemination n a bunch of sterile urine specimen cups to catch the sperm. I got pregnant the second month!! From my experience I think one of the most important parts is being sure to lay on your back with a pillow under your butt n raise your legs for a good half hour n DONT MOVE!! Also (and i hope im not being too graphic) but having an org*sm after insemination really increases your chances!! Good luck to all that wish to give this a try. Be patient..be diligent..it DOES work..i have a 10yo little boy to prove it lol!!

As I was watching this, I was wondering what this kit offered that one couldn't do for a fraction of the price using OTC supplies from a healthcare store - heck people use turkey basters. I figured that at the very least, the kits would be sterile or re-usable. Thanks for confirming. . :)

I absolutely love your approach. This is honestly the first time I've heard a fertility expert address the issue of intercourse between hetero couples. I have felt isolated and unusual in this because it isn't spoken about. We have intercourse ok but my husband has difficulty climaxing inside of me. He even often needed me to leave the room because of the perceived pressure. We have been manually inseminating for years. Would like to understand the advantages of this kit over simply manually inserting fresh sperm and massaging the cervix.

I'm in a same sex relationship and we tried Mosie baby with fresh donor sperm for 5 cycles without success (2-3 inseminations each cycle). Normal ovulation tracked with Premom and Clearblu OPK, tubes patent, normal semen analysis. We used Modern Fertility for labs and Fellow for sperm analysis beforehand.
We ended up going to a fertility clinic and became pregnant with our first and third IUI using clomid for superovulation.
I LOVE that you are educating people and that you partnered with Mosie baby, which is such a great company. I've had friends who had success with this kit. I wish it would have worked for us. But happy we are pregnant!
