    Thank you. I once could never imagine myself having the chops enough to approximate this heaviest and dreamiest of rock classics, and your lesson has literally made a dream come true for me. And your comments about the man himself, his tone and talent, spot on. I've blown a lot of friends' minds over the years introducing them to this album. Truly a special artist and guitar god, Robin Trower. Thank you again.

    Met up with Robin in 1992 at the old Huntridge Theatre in LV.NV. where i used to live and he was way cool ! He really put on on Hellofa psycodelic blues rock show I'll never forget !!! He gave a bro hug and hand shake. He asked i wanted to show him around Vegas and have a few biers . I certainly did at the Hard rock cafe. Took a limo there then showed Mr. T. the downtown strip on Las Vegas Blvd. What a hell of a blast that night 👍🎶

Then , Klaus , Rudy , & Matthias will want to definitely hang out with me and Peggy after the show for some biers and food. Anyways , it quite a long story How i know them . It's through my wife. Love to answer any of your questions pertaining to this wonderful story. Wishing you all God's very best and a nice weekend too! Sincerely- Eddie.

  • @wildbillhackett

    The first chord of the chorus is just a C minus the B#. So just play a C but leave the second string (B string) open. Then A and G. The fourth chord (after the single notes) is basically a B#7 except you're playing the 1st and 2nd strings open. The last chord is a bit convoluted. I find it much easier to just put my forefinger on the 2nd fret/5th string and my ring and pinky fingers on the 4th fret/3rd and 4th strings respectively. It basically sounds the same. Works for us old arthritic guys anyway.

    Trower came to Orlando about 6 months ago. He was about 70 and still electrifying. He was spot on, flawless. Amazing. I missed ever seeing Hendrix live. Do NOT miss finding Robin Trower playing live. His technique is still unique. Heavier strings, tuned down, and rarely using his mid or bridge pickup.

    Being old enough to recall Trower when he first came to attention. Interviewers trying to sound informed asked Robin about Hendrix knock offs , to the man's mild annoyance.Where do Hendrix and Trower persistently overlap that much ? Robin is his own man.Plenty of guys have borrowed from him.

I've loved this song forever now it makes me actually want to try picking up a guitar again even though I've got neuropathy now in my ring and pinky fingers from my bad neck getting worse over the past couple years pretty well stopping my guitar playing. This tutorial was so clear and easy to understand that even someone that hasn't played in years feels interested to give it a try and this is not the easiest piece but it sounds so damn badass. The younger folks should go out and buy the album(s). Seen Robin many times over the years and he is one hell of a guitar player. He's down to earth and always has time for the fans and questions. Man, you have a true talent...dumbing it down enough that even I could understand! Bravo...keep up the great work! Oh, wish you could explain one day, the process you use to figure it out! Someone once asked Trower how Hendrix influenced his style of playing...interesting response...but I dont want to misspeak it, but the jest of it was that he never tried to copy him, but wanted to comprehend the musical thought approach of Hendrix.

    • @BrettPapa
      @BrettPapa  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, that is a good way to put it. I can hear the influence from Hendrix but never felt like he was copying Hendrix. Thanks for checking out the vids! Glad you lie them.

      Hey Jay is that a 50 or 100? I have a 25 but doesn't have that, I wish. Isn't that a trip that you can get the same sound out of your amp that others need pedals, expensive ones.

    First time you barre B and E string 3rd fret you can also play open G, 2nd time just the B and E, gives the 2 a subtle difference, saw Trower live and I'm sure this is how he plays it. Great lesson thanks

    Thank you, thank you, thank you!
    I've been trying to figure out this song for I don't know how many years.
    You made it easy and it helped that I realized that I have a Univibe on my V-Wa.
    You gotta have the Univibe to really make this song work. I suggest adding some delay too.
    Robin Trower is amazing.
