It is really bizzare that 123 does not provide ignition curves to Tune+ though they have predefined curves in their switch models. Could be a lot helpful for buyers.

Please! Why the permanent background music which does NOTHING but annoy and help to make the explanation less clear...?

Looking at this clip thinking hey this looks like Holland! But than I see an American registered 02 so I am thinking oh must be a place in the US that just looks like Holland. And than the mechanic starts to talk, oh yes that’s Holland. Now I am wondering did the owner of the car just shipped his car to Holland to just instal a 123 ignition?

    Hello, I have a new 123 tune + igniter for my Porsche 914/4 d-jetronic.
but I still have a problem, I set the static advance to 10° it's good, I set my cartography to 1000/3500 /30° ok,
but when I drive under load at 5000 rpm I have some knocking and see it 40° ahead!! I don't know how to fix this and have my 30° no more???

You have to take off the valve cover to find top dead center, correct?

Remove the spark plug from cyl. 1 and put your finger on the hole. Turn the engine until you feel pressure building up under your finger, that's the compression stroke. Then, put something like a screwdriver into the cylinder and continue to rotate the engine, making sure the screwdriver doesn't get wedged between the cylinder and head. You'll feel when the piston stops before it starts going down. That's tdc on the compression stroke.

You can also look at the crank pulley it has a marker on it with an arrow mounted on the engine front cover, it will show quite accurate tdc. To know if it is the compression stroke you can remove the spark plug on the 1st cylinder and feel if it builds up pressure. You can also look at the position of your current rotor if it gives a thunderbolt for cylinder nr 1.
