Fabulous show, thanks for the video and taking the time to film it, the footage and stills at the end were great, we just don't have anything like it in the UK, I could have spent a fortune!!! 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇬🇧✌️
Good to know. I will do some research. Because you are into this type of tool, I will let you know. I am releasing my first complete axe restoration and hang, tomorrow morning. You might like it.
@@_BigLife_that would be my guess. BTW. I’ve been “ lied to” all of my life. The San Jose flea market has always been called “ The Worlds Largest Flea Market” and it used to be huge. But I don’t think it was as big as Canton Have you heard of the 127 corridor yard sale? ( very impractical to shop, but I think very cool)
Nice haul buddy. That transitional plane will clean up stunning. I'll make a prediction here mate, once you fettle and hone it and plane wood with it you'll wonder why you even bother with full metal planes. They are amazing 👍👍👍
It's definitely on the list to get done. I don't really know when as I have dozens of other projects I am trying to get to. I keep telling myself., one at a time. Lol
We had a booth set up beside the artist you feature in another venue in south Texas. He does absolutely awesome work. And he was a delightful man to talk to also. Enjoyed your finds and video, I subbed...
Thank you for the sub. It was a joy to talk to him and hear his story. Next time we are able to go to first Monday we will have to look for your booth. Is there something in particular that will let us or anyone reading this know we have found you?
@@_BigLife_ I'm sorry, but the time I am talking about was a few years back and we were in Liberty in south Texas... I have not had the pleasure of going to Canton but I would love to go some day!!! Thanks!!!
I appreciate the information. I was actually sent a boys handle from a friend so I can hang it. I will most likely get to that project next month. Thanks for watching.
Great vintage tools! Canton is always a fun time!!!
It is always a good time. We could spend days there.
Nice haul bro. Wow -Huge F-Market. Those Ford wrenches👍
First Monday in Canton Texas is a must if you ever find yourself in the area. There was so much to see and not enough time or money lol.
I used to live in Dallas. When we'd go to Canton, we'd take a cart with wheels.
My wife said she wants to get a mini golf cart and wagon. She must really want to shop lol. I'm glad we are no longer in the DFW
I am going to have to go now. Loved he riggers axes.
It was a blast.
I am planning on doing a video on the pickeroon / riggers axe.

I wanted to film more but just kept forgetting because I was on the hunt. Lol. I definitely spent too much, but it was fun. Thank you for watching.
That lineman drawing is cool!
I know. I saw it and had to get it to add to my Bell System collection
That hatchet hammer lookin thing is a pickaroon. Looks like a boys sized eye as well. Very cool old tool there!
Red, I truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us. I had no idea what it was. Thank you.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a child sized pickaroon. To me that makes it a very cool find.
I had never seen one and thought it was interesting. I'm glad I purchased it. I will definitely be doing a video on it in the future.
Wow, Ryan! That was amazing. Thanks for sharing. You really got some awesome tools. That artist was incredible.
I'm glad you liked it. I probably went overboard lol. I agree with you, the retired school teacher is a really good artist.
It is a version of a "Pickaroon" it is for moving logs around and picking up firewood rounds while standing,
Thank you for sharing this information.
A friend sent me a handle for it, and I will be doing a restoration on it soon.
@@_BigLife_ hint, The angle of the pick is important on some, mine for sure. Important when stabbing end grain and flipping rounds into a truck.

@@_BigLife_ TY I'll look in.
The saw pliers/ clamp is a saw set used for setting the teeth on a saw. But it looks like it has a very wide anvil
I have been told that. I wonder if it is for a old two person saw. Regardless it is a neat peace of history.

I don't know if Canton is the biggest, but that's how they market it. I think I have heard of the 127, I just don't know where it is.

We will definitely do that next time we go. We just found out as we were leaving that anyone was up there.
great video. Holy cow that place must be amazing. Going to have to work in a trip there one day. Looks like you made some awesome buys.
I know I probably paid too much for a few items but it was worth it, and yes it is amazing, plan to spend a couple of days..
New sub! Great haul! Love the footage from the swap meet!
Thank you for the sub. We had a lot of fun at Firs Monday. I really wish I had filmed more of it. I was way too excited hunting, and forgot.
