My personal best @ Rd ATL but how much time did I leave on the table?

- Had another club day @ Rd ATL and was able to put down my personal best lap time of 1:33.70 but left some time on the table big time. So frustrating but we'll get there. Thanks for tuning in and have a blessed day!!

Nice driving! You did well on this lap. You're moving for sure. I compared this to your other 1:33 lap. Two places you could have picked up time for sure was on the two straights. Between 5-6 you lifted and in your other video you didn't. Also, on the back straight you stayed in the power all the way until the red Motul sign. You hit 153mph there. I think with your new setup you'd be doing 165mph. haha. So I know that can be intimidating. I think you could easily run 1:31's but it's just getting used to that new suspension and controlling that power. Car sounds awesome.
Thanks Jeremy! I appreciate it my friend!!
Awesome job !!! That is a great lap time in the heat !
I'm thinking 32s easily this fall. 90 in turn 1 above 50 in 7 then 160 braking into 10a that will get you in the 32s most deffently.
I hope so buddy!
Thanks for your reply, I had the same issue with the slider. Discovery parts knows there stuff! I went with the sparco low hard mounts. Made a big difference. You could pick up another second or two hard mounting the seat. Good luck!!
@tommagruder9692 love it!! Thanks Tom!!
Congrats on the new PB!
Thank you sir!!
Nice Job!! Is your seat moving like it seems in the video or is that a camera issue?
Thank you, Tom! And yes, it is a seat issue. Actually, it's the Sparco seat slider. I'm actually on my 2nd one, and I was hoping something was wrong with the 1st one, but the 2nd one is doing the same thing as well. I bought it from Discovery Parts and they are talking to Sparco about it. Don't use the Sparco seat slider. Discovery Parts seems to think that Sparco started using a lighter/softer gauge of steel to save money because they've never had this problem in the past. Ron @ Discovery Parts made a video underneath my seat this past Saturday of what was happening and sent it off to Sparco. I should hear something back in the next week or so. My alternatives are to try a different manufacturer or have my guys mount it directly to the car and do away with the slider. Id much rather have the capability of sliding the seat back though. Just makes it easier getting in and out. Sorry for the long winded response buddy...
Easy for someone to say "stay in it" on the back but it always feels light coming through 9 right?? That car is a beast now brother. Nice job.
That's right! Thanks Chris and hope all is well buddy!
@316racingchannel9 Been a wild couple months but ran a new Shelby at Charlotte this weekend and went well.
@concretevol I was wondering cause you did have a red one didn't you? I like the white a lot! What year did you get?
Just curious, what are your oil temps like on track?
Anywhere between 260 and 280. I use Amsoil and change it out after just 4 days on track. Try not to let it break down hardly then change it. Great question! 👊🏻
@@316racingchannel9 Okay thank you for this, we have very similar vehicles and Road Atlanta is also my home track, so just looking to compare what you're seeing. Also, curious if you've ever experienced fuel starvation symptoms (turn 5)?
@404-Frontiers I have and at turn 5 as well but only when the car was on e85. Are you on e85? I'm back on 93 for the time being but I did address the fuel starvation when I was on e85. It was happening bad at VIR and Rd ATL. I ordered a Hydramat system from Holley and put it in the gas tank and it fixed the issue big time. Never had it happen again. Highly recommended it but know this going in, you will have to change it out once a year. So once you start it will become a yearly consumable. Check it out on Holley's website or just Google Hydramat. Hope this helps buddy...
@@316racingchannel9 yes I'm also on e85... I was previously looking into radium surge tank based on conversations with vorshlag but will give this a shot first if it worked for you... thank you!
@@316racingchannel9Yes I'm on e85... I was previously looking at a Radium solution but I will definitely take a closer look at hydramat. Thank you!
