I’m not 100% sure, but it looks like the old LNAH, which was based in Quebec. It became well known for guys like Joel Thériault (featured in this video). There are a couple of documentaries that take a look at that league, and others like it. For the locals & fans who supported their team, they loved the chaotic brand of hockey. Tvarious teams enforcers would get in multiple fights in each game. which intensified the rivalries between each team. Eventually, with various videos popping up on TH-cam, hockey fans who enjoy watching fights made it rise in popularity. Unfortunately, that also got the unwanted attention from folks who thought it was barbaric, ridiculous, unprofessional, and an eyesore for the game of hockey. They thought it wasn’t a good reputation to have for people who were on the outside looking in, and that it was more about the fighting, instead of the game of hockey. Along with concerns about head trauma being linked to CTE, the LNAH decided to make some rule changes that would curb the amount fights happening per game, and it’s not like that anymore. Check out this mini doc about it. th-cam.com/video/lsv_4uLSbFY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TOL9CzulY6RIqHkJ There’s also another one called “Tough Guys”.
When multiple referees are holding you back and saying don't. Just stop save it. You added on so many game misconducts pushing them and fighting them. Unsportsmanlike for sure. Doesn't belong on the ice at all his coach definitely benched em
They WANT to be kicked out. These popular LNAH tough guys often have nightclub doorman/security jobs around Montreal. It's why most of the fights are pregame or first period. The clubs in whatever place Joel played PAID for him to greet and bounce. He was always popular and he was just working for the bag.
Yes. But most are in their 30s and winding it up after a respectable ECHL or rarely AHL level career. Which means they're high level hockey players. In the LNAH? They're the guys who are standing off to the side during these idiotic staged "brawls" and checking their watches.
Another comment. Terrible fighting. Kids think it's as easy as what they see on TV then come out punching like this lmao embarrassing 3:50 fight is a proper throw down.

This guy was a scary human being.
I would have loved to watch him play and fight in the NHL.
His nickname should have been ‘Maniac’.
What a goon. Does he even know how to shoot a puck?
He was a 2nd round draft pick many years ago
Can’t beat someone on ❄️

Anybody in this league actually know how to play hockey?
Doesn't look like it.

somme guerrier loll stune flambette ca
Being a linesman has to be the worst job in this league.
I presume the job description for an LNAH linesman is that he must have previously been a defensive tackle in either the NFL or the CFL.
Aucun respect pour les arbitres.....pas fort
Aucun respect pour la game de hockey quand tu joue dans cette ligue alors fait pas s'attendre a des personnes avec du savoir vivre 😅😅🤣🤣
