What gets me is the writers admitting they couldn't write courtroom dramas. They pitched the show as a courtroom drama, and realized after the pitch that they couldn't write a courtroom drama. Did I miss anything? But the woman who attained the status and education of a fckn Lawyer, gets cat called... And she is the victim? Got it.

The CGI was crap throughout the episode, but my favorite scene involved the bad wire work at the end of the show. It makes me laugh every time I see it.
I dont think the CGI was that bad. It's a lot harder to make it look good when she stretches from 5'5 to 7' and to maintain that youthful feminine smooth skin beautiful appearance. That fight scene and the flying through the air was atrocious though, it was like Kung Fu hustle vibes. That fight scene was an utter joke. It's remarkable how many borderline series, elsewhere, kept head above water simply b/c the female lead was attractive. It got me through the first year of Supergirl, for example, before the writing became entirely toxic and Benoist aged out of peak cuteness / hotness. What surprises me is how no one is calling out She Hulk for cheapening, destroying, distorting, weakening, or what ever you want to call it Steve and Peggys relationship. Only needed to see one episode and that's enough. The CGI is awful, she has toothpicks for legs and it looked like her body shapes varied from scene to scene. This character was well established in the comic books, way more than the Captain Marvel character by miles! And they had to degrade men to uplift the feminism agenda. They did so by degrading the Hulk and insulting the Tony Stark character, plus using 3 dudes to get the hate factor of men by making them act like chauvinist pigs (so they tried), where she was about to kill all 3 of them because they asked for her name and blah blah blah, then the Hulk appears and tackles her to save them. I grew up reading/collecting comic books, especially Marvel. Heck I started collecting in he mid 70's and had a very above average collection with many 60's editions, graded by CGC. So, this new series wasn't made for me, since I am a Gen-X white male, even though I am a huge fan of the Marvel Universe comic books. I guess the MCU just don't need people like me anymore as they put stuff like this out. My Marvel is dead and buried so it seems and fans like me are now obsolete.

I did an experiment. I showed some of the Hulk movies and clips for the past week to NON SUPERHERO movie fans that don't care about superheroes. The experiment was tough because they didn't really care about ANY of the superhero material. BUT I told them the job was to compare in an objective manner any changes or unrealism they saw. THEN I SHOWED them the clips and trailers of the She Hulk show. After laughing, they told me that yeah, its really ridiculous the story and character of She hulk AND THEY ADMITTED that even they could tell that the discriminatory attitude of She Hulk towards men and other previous heroes was weird and didn't make sense. "it looks like it was written on purpose to drive home a point" said one guy. They both said it could not have been written by a professional.....! this test I did could have been done better, but it did reveal a lot to me. FOLKS, this is what OUTSIDERS of our genre and movie fandome ALSO think about Disney and this wierd man hating shit going on in the superhero movies as of late. This is why THEY TOO DON'T want to see any movies nor (unfortunately ) get involved in comic books shopping/collecting or going to shows or conventions. Why didn't HE become a counselor for other heroes that were dealing with identity problems or past pain? he certainly went through a lot of pain himself. I started collecting them when I was six All bagged and backed, first editions for the most part and some signed by the writers and artists. Jen/She Hulk is a fun, optimistic character who enjoys being what she is, and doesn't take herself too seriously. She's a cool lady and seems like someone you'd like to hang out with. There was never any whining or silly agendas attached to her. Like all good characters she just let her actions speak for themselves and didn't preach or denigrate males, etc. I haven't seen this show but it kind of looks like more of the same tired old, finger wagging, back patting nonsense that seems to define the MCU now. There use to be two types of movies. Guy flicks and Chick flicks. Guy flicks weren't that many through the year as they were usually more expensive to make due to more intensive special effects, explosions and guns etc... The majority of films in a year were always chick flicks because they were cheaper to make in general. Today's movies have smashed both Chick and Guy flicks together. It seriously needs to go back to the old way.
Also if you look at guy flicks. How many of them had the man verbally berating and putting down the women in them? Even the earlier MCU, when did the guys ever put down or diminish Black Widow or Wanda. Yes there was a degree of objectification with tight outfits and sexual tension, but there were plenty of topless male shots to compensate. The worst excesses of "strong female character" writing that need to go that will fix everything are: 1. They have to be able to learn lessons from male characters if the situation calls for it. 2. They have to encounter challenging obstacles that they overcome that are related to character growth. 3. Contemporary social commentary/activism should always be subtly implied and not "on the nose". It's less off-putting for the majority, and it means the show will age better as social dynamics evolve over the years. 4. Motivation should never be "I can do anything a man can do but better". Proving yourself to others for your own ego is poor character motivation. A very shallow goal for a protagonist. Why did Iron Man come into existence? Initially self preservation, but long term it was used to set right the wrongs that Tony had committed before he was awakened to the damage those wrongs caused. He had to suffer personally to make those right choices but it made him work toward the larger good. And this is a guy with a huge ego making selfless choices which actually makes it all the more impressive. 5. Vulnerability equals likeability. Whether it's Rey, Captain Marvel, or She-Hulk one of the common features is that they are undoubting of their own capability and show no vulnerability. In drama vulnerability adds to character richness. It makes them more relatable, more human. Fix these things going forward and there would be far less people unsatisfied with the "strong female character" movie. You'll always get the odd man baby, but most reasonable people would find female led programming more palatable.
She-hulk could've been the best and most unique female character in the MCU They should've allowed her 4rd wall breaks to be more interesting than the boring "speak to the camera" shit, She-hulk is best known for her walking off the panels to fast forward/reverse her story and even escape traps, so she could "skip" some of Hulk's combat lessons since she'd only focused on going back to being a lawyer not a hero, and later on the episode she'd realize it'd be really useful to actually go back and listen to his advice in the middle of a fight, so she would just walk out of scene and poke her head in the corner of a scene where Hulk is explaining whatever trick she needed to know to win Also They should've allowed her to be slightly vulnerable during and immediately after the car crash, instead of knocking down Bruce, both of them could be awake but bleeding out dangerously fast, Bruce would ask for help to remove his blocker quickly and when she helps him remove it a burst of pent up gamma rays could've exploded and that's what gives her powers, she then would get knocked out by the intense radiation as Bruce fights the alien ship I'm ok with her having way more control than Bruce since she lacks all the traumatic experiences thus meaning her mental would be much healthier, relaxed, and focused but don't give her absolute total control since day 1, since she's so obsessed with Captain A's Butt she could have an issue completely alien to Bruce's experiences, maybe she transforms accidentally when she has a "crush moment" (aka when she's horny but Disney won't allow that type of language long term), she wouldn't be particularly dangerous cuz she's still very much in control she'd just be a little bit clumsy and shakey because well... horny... All this little small tweaks to her story could make her more relatable to everyone since she stops being Marvel's 5th Perfect Woman and also keeps most of the story intact were she's allowed to be better than hulk in some things but clearly worse in others

Disney, Marvel, and DC have really done an amazing job of driving their massively popular franchises right into the ground over the last 10 years. I legitimately don't care about new superhero movies or shows. Exceptions exist, but it's mostly bad. You also missed how even Hulk, Bruce's alter ego who was able to connect with Natasha realized/came to think that he was far more dangerous than Earth deserved to deal with and decided to catapult himself into space with no intention of coming back, only to be picked up by the space junk collecting group in Ragnarok and became a gladiator in their arena for amusement. Time flowed differently there so Bruce was stuck inside Hulk for years, beloved as a dancing and fighting puppet, but isolated in a pretty cage.

Ok, just a quick comment, no offense but her saying she's used to being "cat-called" and needs to control her emotions due to that reason is funny as hell. This show was exactly as described by viewers and I finally watched it today and agree cold heartedly with their reviews. This is just another "woke" show to make Marvel fans cringe. Only needed to see one episode and that's enough. The CGI is awful, she has toothpicks for legs and it looked like her body shapes varied from scene to scene. This character was well established in the comic books, way more than the Captain Marvel character by miles! And they had to degrade men to uplift the feminism agenda. They did so by degrading the Hulk and insulting the Tony Stark character, plus using 3 dudes to get the hate factor of men by making them act like chauvinist pigs (so they tried), where she was about to kill all 3 of them because they asked for her name and blah blah blah, then the Hulk appears and tackles her to save them.
I grew up reading/collecting comic books, especially Marvel. Heck I started collecting in he mid 70's and had a very above average collection with many 60's editions, graded by CGC.
So, this new series wasn't made for me, since I am a Gen-X white male, even though I am a huge fan of the Marvel Universe comic books. I guess the MCU just don't need people like me anymore as they put stuff like this out. My Marvel is dead and buried so it seems and fans like me are now obsolete.

I did an experiment. I showed some of the Hulk movies and clips for the past week to NON SUPERHERO movie fans that don't care about superheroes. The experiment was tough because they didn't really care about ANY of the superhero material. BUT I told them the job was to compare in an objective manner any changes or unrealism they saw. THEN I SHOWED them the clips and trailers of the She Hulk show. After laughing, they told me that yeah, its really ridiculous the story and character of She hulk AND THEY ADMITTED that even they could tell that the discriminatory attitude of She Hulk towards men and other previous heroes was weird and didn't make sense. "it looks like it was written on purpose to drive home a point" said one guy. They both said it could not have been written by a professional.....! this test I did could have been done better, but it did reveal a lot to me. FOLKS, this is what OUTSIDERS of our genre and movie fandome ALSO think about Disney and this wierd man hating shit going on in the superhero movies as of late. This is why THEY TOO DON'T want to see any movies nor (unfortunately ) get involved in comic books shopping/collecting or going to shows or conventions. They STEREOTYPE us thinking that we are like these movie directors and producers and that we like this crap. We don't.

Jen/She Hulk is a fun, optimistic character who enjoys being what she is, and doesn't take herself too seriously. She's a cool lady and seems like someone you'd like to hang out with. There was never any whining or silly agendas attached to her. Like all good characters she just let her actions speak for themselves and didn't preach or denigrate males, etc. I haven't seen this show but it kind of looks like more of the same tired old, finger wagging, back patting nonsense that seems to define the MCU now. Feminist's movement won't exist if men didn't make things easy for women to be on their own.
There use to be two types of movies. Guy flicks and Chick flicks. Guy flicks weren't that many through the year as they were usually more expensive to make due to more intensive special effects, explosions and guns etc... The majority of films in a year were always chick flicks because they were cheaper to make in general. Today's movies have smashed both Chick and Guy flicks together. It seriously needs to go back to the old way.
Also if you look at guy flicks. How many of them had the man verbally berating and putting down the women in them? Even the earlier MCU, when did the guys ever put down or diminish Black Widow or Wanda. Yes there was a degree of objectification with tight outfits and sexual tension, but there were plenty of topless male shots to compensate.
The worst excesses of "strong female character" writing that need to go that will fix everything are:
1. They have to be able to learn lessons from male characters if the situation calls for it.
2. They have to encounter challenging obstacles that they overcome that are related to character growth.
3. Contemporary social commentary/activism should always be subtly implied and not "on the nose". It's less off-putting for the majority, and it means the show will age better as social dynamics evolve over the years.
4. Motivation should never be "I can do anything a man can do but better". Proving yourself to others for your own ego is poor character motivation. A very shallow goal for a protagonist. Why did Iron Man come into existence? Initially self preservation, but long term it was used to set right the wrongs that Tony had committed before he was awakened to the damage those wrongs caused. He had to suffer personally to make those right choices but it made him work toward the larger good. And this is a guy with a huge ego making selfless choices which actually makes it all the more impressive.
5. Vulnerability equals likeability. Whether it's Rey, Captain Marvel, or She-Hulk one of the common features is that they are undoubting of their own capability and show no vulnerability. In drama vulnerability adds to character richness. It makes them more relatable, more human.
Fix these things going forward and there would be far less people unsatisfied with the "strong female character" movie. You'll always get the odd man baby, but most reasonable people would find female led programming more palatable.
She-hulk could've been the best and most unique female character in the MCU
They should've allowed her 4rd wall breaks to be more interesting than the boring "speak to the camera" shit, She-hulk is best known for her walking off the panels to fast forward/reverse her story and even escape traps, so she could "skip" some of Hulk's combat lessons since she'd only focused on going back to being a lawyer not a hero, and later on the episode she'd realize it'd be really useful to actually go back and listen to his advice in the middle of a fight, so she would just walk out of scene and poke her head in the corner of a scene where Hulk is explaining whatever trick she needed to know to win
Also They should've allowed her to be slightly vulnerable during and immediately after the car crash, instead of knocking down Bruce, both of them could be awake but bleeding out dangerously fast, Bruce would ask for help to remove his blocker quickly and when she helps him remove it a burst of pent up gamma rays could've exploded and that's what gives her powers, she then would get knocked out by the intense radiation as Bruce fights the alien ship
I'm ok with her having way more control than Bruce since she lacks all the traumatic experiences thus meaning her mental would be much healthier, relaxed, and focused but don't give her absolute total control since day 1, since she's so obsessed with Captain A's Butt she could have an issue completely alien to Bruce's experiences, maybe she transforms accidentally when she has a "crush moment" (aka when she's horny but Disney won't allow that type of language long term), she wouldn't be particularly dangerous cuz she's still very much in control she'd just be a little bit clumsy and shakey because well... horny...
All this little small tweaks to her story could make her more relatable to everyone since she stops being Marvel's 5th Perfect Woman and also keeps most of the story intact were she's allowed to be better than hulk in some things but clearly worse in others

I know it is shallow but I'm a woman so I dont care but the actress playing She-Hulk looks only attractive when she is in She-Hulk form. When she isn't she looks like she hit the wall hard and covers it up with make up and goofy faces.
I know it shallow but I miss when tv shows had attractive people to watch, ya know? Escapism? Because I dont just like to gawk at men, I like to see hot women to project myself onto. Personally I prefer tall blondes since I'm a 5'1 brunette.
I'd rewatch the Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix 10 times before I ever watch this show. Now that was a real lawyer show

Here is a very interesting comment i've seen on another video about the "feminism" of She-Hulk by someone called Vox Veritas:

Disney, Marvel, and DC have really done an amazing job of driving their massively popular franchises right into the ground over the last 10 years. I legitimately don't care about new superhero movies or shows. Exceptions exist, but it's mostly bad.
I'd like a new Superman, but they seem physically incapable of making a good Superman movie and, at this point, I'd expect a new Superman movie to feature Ru Paul as Superman.

It seems a bit odd in a show called She-hulk attorney at law when the producers reaction to the writers openly saying they are bad at writing court room scenes and that is just met with indifference rather than getting a consultant or a co writer who have experience with that or just simply replacing on incompetent writer with a competent one.
@@jimsteinmanfan80 it's also odd that they opted to not only do she hulk, the lawyer vigilante in a category of writing they have no experience in BUT ALSO BROUGHT IN MATT MURDOCK, a 2nd lawyer they have no idea how to write
I watched it and I liked it. Everything about the Hulk, I just don't think he was trying, he's trying to teach her and is her cousin, what is he supposed to do? Crush her skull? This is shown in the rock throwing scene, he throws a boulder, and then she throws a boulder farther, and then he goes fine and throws a boulder into outer space.

Hulk in the MCU started off so great-- the Hulk was SCARY and UNPREDICTABLE and DANGEROUS like he is suppoosed to be. Then he got turned into embarrasing green garbage now.
