@@thewanderingartistshe could see that his son had lived and grown up to be the one that could connect people where cliff couldn’t. The best thing a father could wish for ❤️
when Sam looks straight into the camera I felt like this was the next 4th wall break from Kojima, a message from him to all of us. A message of hope and a relief, knowing that we're still able to connect with one other, to create connections and bridges, that we won't make the same mistakes that older generations have made
@@OnceWasBooker yeah probably my favourite game since 2019. (Haven’t played Elden ring though). Just absolutely loved the unique feel of the game and the underlying philosophy. I know it sounds a bit ridiculous but it helped me through a difficult period. Glad to see I’m not the only one though!
Oh my god, WHY DO THEY DUB GAMES and then make me play them! Polish dubbing just ruined this scene for me! Killed all the depth. DANG I wish I had played it in ENG :C
When Sam whistle back to Cliff, he realize that his son isn't the BB itself, but the grown-up man.
I love the subtlety here ! When Cliff realised the truth he didn't bring any more supercells, he finally went in peace to the other side.
@@thewanderingartists There also wasn’t enough time left in the game for more supercells

@@darthwisetheplagueis5869 it made me cry!!!
man I'm hyped for death stranding 2
@@darthwisetheplagueis5869Cliff also sees himself as a literal "cliff" an obstacle because he fought in war, and War divides people.
Sam inadvertently gave Cliff the chance to hold his granddaughter for the first and only time in this scene. It almost brings a tear to my eye.
Not biological, but yeah
@@darthwisetheplagueis5869 That doesn't matter

I love how this mirrors the scene in the BB room near the end, down to the gunshot. It was almost as if this was just a practice run 😅
