no, you can use degrees or radians
Trig equations are always better than trig proofs, they always seem to catch me out! 7 marks for each of these is crazy generous
This is a Madas paper. Most Alevel papers would award around 4 marks for each question of this sort 👍

Hi, how come you've given your answers to part (i) to 3 d.p.? On the front of the edexcel papers they save give your answers to 3 significant figures unless told otherwise. Is it a special case for trig questions that you give answers to 3 d.p.?

Hi brother i don’t understand why the root 3 + 1 isn’t the numerator when you divided by cos to form the tan?
The cos3x moves from the right and becomes the denominator on the left. The root 3 + 1 moves from the left and becomes the denominator on the right. Sorry! I recorded this a year ago and skipped a few lines of working that I won’t dream of doing now!!
