    Some additional tips that I use:
    1) To check if 2 expressions are equivalent, use ANS instead of the unknown and substitute values in the previous line of working. Subtract one expression from the other and the result should be 0 regardless of the ANS value of the previous line.
    2) Compared to the fx model, this calculator also gives exact values for many more trigonometric functions. If a question asks for the exact value of cos(n) or something like that, you can check your answer.
    And some tips for further maths:
    1) If you need to simplify a matrix expression with an unknown, plug it into the calculator and use i instead of the unknown. The result will contain i, and just substitute back the unknown.
    (works as long as the unknown isn't squared). You can find inverses of 3x3 matrices with an unknown in seconds, for example.
    2) If asked to convert lines/planes between cartesian/vector form, plot the equation given in the question and your result using the 3D graph feature. If the lines/planes overlap, your answer is correct.

    • @user-jq3qt8no7h
      @user-jq3qt8no7h ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you mean by the use i for the matrix?

    • @gamesandstuff7724
      @gamesandstuff7724 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @H 12899 So if there is an unknown x within a matrix, plug the expression into the calculator but substitute i in place of x. The calculator will keep that as i during the operation. The final result will contain i, and just substitute x back in place for i. This works as long as there is no x^2.
      Let's say you need to find the result of the following expression:
      [1 2] [4 3]
      [3 x ] [2 1]
      Substitute it exactly into the calculator but use i instead of x.
      Calculator result:
      [8 5]
      [12 +2i 9 + i]
      Just substitute back x for i, and you get the answer.

    • @mathonline8787
      @mathonline8787 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gamesandstuff7724 it wouldnt really work if substitute x for i TOWORDS THE END
      E.g to find inverse of (2 0 3)
      (i 1 1) (Z)
      (1 1 1)
      If you sub x for i towards the end then it’s wrong (try it for urself )
      However I found a solution to find the det which is 3x+3 ~ 1/3x+3 obviously write it like 1/3i+3 (y) then using inverse of inverse of “z” divide it by “y” and the answer let’s say equal to “h” then change i back to x ur final answer would be y which 1/3x+3 times h
      Have a go at it and see

      @@mathonline8787 Isn't the determinant for this matrix 3x -3, not 3x +3?
      But I understand what you mean. Calculator simplifies 1/i to -i, so it doesn't work with this matrix.
      But what you could do is to multiply the inverse by the determinant to get the transposed cofactor matrix, and thats like 90% of the work of finding the inverse anyway. Then you can divide that by the determinant yourself. (I think you did something similar as well.)
