hello , yes, the wood used for a flute should be well cured and dry. The flute's inner bore will shrink and change shape and thus the sound will change and the pitch will rise. But when really green wood is used the flute will be pretty worthless in a while overall.
Great lesson
I really have to get a Kaval! Thank you Winne for sharing your skills.
Very welcome , more is coming so stay tuned ;-)
I love it😀
Ha!
Hi Winne, what key is this traditional kaval your playing? ... would like to get an idea on size vs key..
that's key of B :-)
Winne Clement Thanks, Do you have a 5 holed Kaval for sale, in the key of D?? or can I order one, maybe with a wide bore?
My caval is made of hazelnut wood ... but because the wood is still green, the caval has curved. Is it a problem if it's curved?
