I have no hesitation in spinning selvedge denim. I can’t see that it causes any harm, especially since washing machines will spin them anyway between the wash and rinse cycles.
yeah totally. The hell if I'm going to deal with a dripping wet pair of jeans. I'll hang dry them, but no way I'm not leaving them on the spin cycle. To each their own, but some of the people into this stuff are absolutely ridiculous.
A twisted leg is actually a completely normal aspect of selvedge denim! Because denim is a twill and woven diagonally, the shrinkage will cause a twisting that differs entirely from jean to jean.
One question: during this process of the indigo coloring fading out, especially before the first washing, does it leave blue stains on things? I mean, the seat of the car, the office chair, my sofa at home, etc...
If you spend a prolonged period of time in contact with something - i.e. seats or a bag that rubs against the jeans - you will see indigo bleeding. The amount will depend on the jeans, but it's best to avoid lighter clothes, hi-top shoes, and easy to stain surfaces before your first couple of washes.
You'll have slightly more control over raw jeans than a pre-washed jean, but it's important to remember that 'raw' only refers to the fact the cotton has never been washed, and selvedge refers to the production process of the jean!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Excellent aspects of selvedge denim and presented in such a pleasant, unpretentious manner! Congrats and thank you.
Well shot and broke down the history and necessary care well enough to be understood with about 10 minutes of your time. Well done!
Great video with a lot of solid information dispelling myths. I wash and even dry mine frequently, and they are looking great.
Glad it was helpful! It's a good feeling having a pair of jeans you are happy with.
Brilliant video(s), very informative. Was in store only yesterday and commented the same to the gentleman serving me. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you very much for this amazing video and I’m looking forward to the rest of the production.
Thank you for the kind words!
Love your video concepts
I love it - fantastic video!
Just got my CS100X's on Thursday, first pair of selvedge! My friend got me into selvedge, wearing them for the first time today. So exciting haha

can i spin dry my jeans (i really dont want my jeans to shrink or change shape) since its not the same as tumble dry and theres no heat involved.
you can do whatever you want. They're jeans.
Interesting. Btw, how to deal with a twisted leg, it is really abnoyinf? Thanks!

Is rinse and one wash jeans the same?

yes
What jeans are they around the 5.40 mark? They have a nice looser fit. Thanks
They're Full Count 0105XX! A fantastic option for a wider cut!
What is the difference in fadeing between selvedge and raw?
