I like how everyone thought this manifestation of Sky was the Arcane or Void deceiving Viktor and is evil, when in reality this manifestation was either Sky's consciousness in the Arcane or just a subconscious aspect of Viktor, ultimately representing his humanity and is genuinely good.
@@fighder2me too, I was one of those who assumed that her presence was artificially made by the Arcane/void. This last statement confirms that she was neither, but a mirror to Viktor's conscience.
Notice how Sky said “No, you won’t.” Because she knew the man she loved wasn’t there anymore. She didn’t try to talk Viktor out of what he was becoming because she knew it was too late but still wanted to be by his side til the end. I’m sure she’d be happy to know Viktor comes back to the light.
@@noxustdsthat’s literally the same thing. Being emotionless is the same as the man she loved not being there anymore. Sky loved Viktor for his passion, dedication, and work. All this is gone when Viktor pursues the arcane.
i felt like she was giving him a second chance… but his response was very robotic/ or too focus on his work like in part 1… Hence why she said he won’t, since he’s is too obsessed with passion instead of love for Sky.
It is honestly amazing sometimes the way they manage to give a scene such a level of impact with so little actual character vocal lines involved, just using the music and the visuals. This is one of my favourite scenes in the entire show just because of how beautifully haunting it is.
ik it’s simultaneously tragic and transcendental … like you’re appreciating what viktor is trying to achieve while simultaneously mourning his humanity … what’s the point of perfection if nobody can appreciate it?
Totally agree man, if you really look closely, Viktor's real face under that mask has this weird spacing that makes it look distorted, and come to think of it, the only "human component" remaining in Viktor before the Glorious Evolution was his head, which obviously contains his brain (his thoughts, emotions, and memories). I think Fortiche made it look like the Hexcore entity is emerging from his head, seemingly fighting over the control of Viktor's thoughts.
With hindsight, I truly think Sky was meant to be a symbol of Viktor's humanity and that she probably meant a lot more to Viktor than we initially think. If she didn't, I just don't think he would have taken her notes with him when he left Jayce. And with every choice that is more close to the pursuit of glory and defying his mortality, Viktor becomes less human and loses something of Sky until there is nothing left of her. This being the final step. And the saddest thing is, Viktor will be too fargone to even remember how she cared for him and how he cared for her to even mourn and miss Sky, and Sky knows it.
This!!!! Sadly, we didn't have more backstory for them besides they were childhood friends and also worked together in the lab, and probably went together to the academy. So yes... He cared for her and her death was devastated for him. He really missed her and saw her as the representation of "goodness" 🥺
I firmly believe this version of Sky was just Viktor's subconscious, his last tether to humanity. And with him transforming she disappeared. That's why she said, "No you won't" because he's essentially destroying that part of himself.
in an interview, it was stated that sky actually represented the hexcore, and it said that cuz it finally completed its objective of the glorius evolution
This scene always gives me a pit in my stomach. Even just thinking about it does. Honestly the most depressing scene besides the end of ep 3 from season 1
Viktor had magic and science on his side and he gave up so fast. It's kinda wild his last act before his evolution was the most human and inhuman of all. Chaos and order. All these memories held energy (Sky, Vander, etc.) but had no means to quantify and apply it to a tangible change to better humankind.
THE SCENE HURTS BECAUSE THERES SO MUCH LEFT TO INTERPRETATION!!! It's obvious these two care for each other but we didn't get enough screen time with them 😭... there's a theory that Sky's life force was transferred into Orianna, but Christan Linke and Amanda seem to have different interpretation of Sky's character. Christian says that Sky's actually the hexcore, but Amanda (the creator of Sky) says that Sky's Viktor's humanity... the Orianna theory would be pretty interesting and with Viktor's new game skins/lines it would be interesting if they'll bring her back! Because Sky is literally the most tragic character in the series! All she wanted to do was walk home with Viktor and talk about her research 😭🩵!

why is nobody talking about Sky? I was talking to some friends before about bad writing, and that if multiple people have different interpretations of what’s happening then that’s not a good sign. It doesn’t always mean the writing is complex, but more so it’s missing things. They kinda had to jam and rush things since Netflix basically said this is it- But there’s a lot of holes in season 2 and a lot of people are spouting out a lot of things as fact when the truth is- it just isn’t clear. People keep saying that Ekko went to an alternate dimension even though that doesn’t make sense, because no character with that knowledge ever bluntly says that- Ekko says “I feel like I woke up in another universe” but he doesn’t know that for a fact, he was being dramatic. Heimer, a character with better knowledge of magic, says- “The anomaly that dislodged us from our reality also scattered us across time.” He isn’t sure, but that’s a more reliable source. So it pushed them out of time AND to another dimension? That makes no sense. Jayce goes directly into the future, that’s not a question or a doubt. He literally ends up in the same location and position in the last episode, the only difference is that Ekko is there to make a save. Viktor, the guy who literally knows everything says “In all TIMELINES, in all possibilities” There’s more evidence pointing towards time travel rather than another universe. People can’t seem to decide if Sky is really there, if she’s just a manifestation of Viktors humanity and feelings. Ambessa gives a whole speech about “this ain’t about revenge, these mages are an affront to noxian culture” And then has no problem working with Viktor, a mage who’s making her a magic immortal army. Jayce is spazzed out when he returns, but we saw that before he was even sent back he wasn’t like that- So he’s literally spazzing in episode 6 only because it causes tension. Jinx didn’t have to tackle ww off the platform, nor was she ever that strong against him on their previous fight- She only did it, she only fell off that platform to make the audience sad. Idk if you can tell yet but a lot of the holes are basically just in act 3. I’m not even gonna get started with the sheer stupidity and inconsistency of how Mel and her powers were handled and how Ambessa basically got shafted. Ambessa dying isn’t a plot hole- it was just really dumb how it was handled.
Some things were rushed, others didn't make a whole lot of sense, but things being open to interpretation doesn't equal bad writing. Audiences are so used to being spoodfed information in storytelling that a ton of people missed obvious tells in this show and then went raging onto twitter about how a ton of things made no sense even though everything you need to know was on screen. I'm not sure why you are so hung up on the distinction between timelines, dimensions or universes when they all pretty much boil down to the same thing: alternate realities. And yes, it DID push them itno a different time AND reality. Heimerdinger arrived in the other reality three years before Ekko popped in. Jinx didn't have to tackle WW off the platform? It was the only way to have her sister. She didn't have the strength? Jinx has super speed, and if I payed enough attetion in physics classes it's velocity + mass = force. I guess with enough force applied she could push him off the platform. Why was she weak against him before? She still is! She just managed to topple himn, big whoop. She never went in close in their previous fight. Why would she? When else in this show was it shown that she's a close range fighter? She always chose to fight with weapons and gadgets on a distance vs getting in close. So there. If you want to pick a better example for bad writing just for the sake of making people feel sad, take the scene with Isha's sacrifice. Where was Jinx's speed here? She watches Isha as she jumps in to blow up Warwick and runs in normal speed towards here. THAT made no sense. But yes, S2 was not flawless (S1 pretty much was). It had leaps in logic. Character motivation going all over the place. But it was still pretty damn great.
@@Nightflash28 I think jinx's super speed in arcane is not a passive like in league. its like an adrenaline response. this explains how she used it while fighting vi or when toppling Warwick but still does not clear isha's sacrifice. my theory is that at that time she was just overloaded with stuff going on, Warwick ( vander ) basically crying while being killed, I gusse watching isha run towards Warwick really made her zone out or something I dont Know

Yep, Sky knows he won't since he took this path of abandoning emotions to focus on efficiency, growth and absence of strife.
