      +Alexa They were crunchy for the most part, but not as hard as the fortune cookies you get at a restaurant. I served them that same day. They were really good though and everyone loved them.

    Mine looked great, but they were somewhat chewy on the inside instead of crunchy. Only the rim was crunchy. What's the problem in your opinion? Oven too hot?

    i can't get my edges in perfect round. They're always rough and a bit cracking tho the inside is very soft. do you know what's wrong? and how long do we cool them off until they're crispy? Thank youu.. and btw ur fortune cookies recipe taste soo good :)

    • @FifteenSpatulas
      @FifteenSpatulas  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It takes a bit of practice to smooth them into even circles. You can try shaking the pan from side to side a bit to get them to flatten out. If the inside is still too soft, pop them in the oven again while they're in the muffin pan, so they can hold their shape but brown a bit better. Glad you thought they taste good!

    My husband is so not into sweets, but fortune cookies are his favorite. So I'm putting together a Valentine's gift for him and wanted to include these, but how long will these stay fresh for?

    • @FifteenSpatulas
      @FifteenSpatulas  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jackie Caxaj Let cool completely, then store in an airtight container for up to 1 week. If for whatever reason they get soggy, you can always pop them into the oven for 10 minutes to re-crisp.

    • @JackieCaxaj

    Having some trouble forming them into circles. The batter is too sticky and the second I try and form the into circles on the baking sheet, the shrink back into blobs. Also, they completely stuck to both my parchment paper and silicone sheet.

    Hi I tried making these cookies, they were delicious, they were extremely crispy when they first cooled, but they became soft after about 5 hours. How do I keep them crispy for days?

    • @FifteenSpatulas
      @FifteenSpatulas  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Was it really humid? They may have absorbed moisture from the air if it was really humid. You can recrisp in the oven by re-baking for 10-15 min

      Yes you can skip it if you like, it's there for flavor but you can probably get by with just the vanilla.
