I was walking towards my local station in Asagaya, Tokyo at this time - I had to leave for work after Ohtani's 2BH. Then when I walked past the Ramen store, the radio shouted "Murakami utta〜! Sayonara〜!!!". I remember looking down and shedding a tear in happiness, knowing Murakami, who had struggled all tournament had clutched when it mattered most. I still wished I'd seen it live. But Mexico vs Japan was such a good game😊
As a Mexican, it's very sad for me how the match came up. This team really made me dream, made me believe that we could be world champions, that we could defeat anyone. They made an amazing match, and I'm very proud of this team, we fought till the end. I'm just a little bit disappointed that we had to lose that way, we were dominating, we had the match, and, a couple mistakes killed us. I was feeling it, our pitching wasn't doing that great since 5th inning, but, luckily, we managed to escape alive. Sadly, at the end, an on fire Ohtani and a very talented Murakami stole the happiness from us. Congratulations to Japan and to my favorite player ever, Ohtani, I'm glad to see him happy, winning and I hope he can raise the trophy.

It was a game that allowed us to rediscover the fun of baseball. All of Japan is excited right now. Murakami has been in a bad way lately, striking out a lot, so I can't stop crying tears of joy that he finally broke out of his slump. Otani got things going, Yoshida and Shuto connected, and Murakami hit a ball for good measure.

Walk off runs in baseball is the best win in sports imo. The whole sequence is beautiful, involving 2 opposing players, maybe multiple pitches. Then the crack of the bat and hope of the crowd come to life. Amazing win for Japan here

It was a game that allowed us to rediscover the fun of baseball. All of Japan is excited right now. Murakami has been in a bad way lately, striking out a lot, so I can't stop crying tears of joy that he finally broke out of his slump. Otani got things going, Yoshida and Shuto connected, and Murakami hit a ball for good measure.
Prob one of the most epic game in WBC history! WBC is needed! Congrats Japan, continue to send love from Taiwan. Mexico there's nothing to be ashamed, you all did so damn great as well, it was so close, and I'm proud of yall too. Just so happy to be a baseball fan atm. The best sports in the world.
Great game to both teams. They gave their best. Hope some of those players will join MLB besides Ohtani and others.

Walk off runs in baseball is the best win in sports imo. The whole sequence is beautiful, involving 2 opposing players, maybe multiple pitches. Then the crack of the bat and hope of the crowd come to life. Amazing win for Japan here
You said it! The beauty of baseball is that you can't win or lose a game by time-up. For the winning team, there's no easing out of a game, you just have to earn every bit of the last outs. For the losing side, there's always a chance of a comeback until you get out three times.

+ 일본에는 오타니, 요시다 이 두 선수 뿐만 아니라 야마모토도 메이저구단들이 눈독들이고 있는 안정적인 경기운영력을 가진 투수이고, 겐다 선수도 센스있는 타자를 선보였고 9회초에 겐다선수 일본 수비도 진짜 환상적이었죠. 사사키도 아직 21살 어려서 더 갈고닦으면 오타니 다음대를 이을 선수로 평가받고있고요. 일본에는 잘하는 선수들이 많은듯요.
