before I made a mod on my channel where I put Xbox one elite thumbsticks into my DS4 I was looking for a transparent shell for my PS4 controller but I couldn't find it I am really grateful for you making this video because now I can get it and I can enjoy using a controller that I love and like
nick driessen I agree with you plus the circular dpad gets in the way but I just use the cross if I want it raised or I just take them off all together and play with the green dpad
Can someone tell me how the shield d pad feels when playing fighting games? Am thinking of buying it as I play a lot of Tekken on Xbox and moving over to PlayStation now. Many thanks.
That's pretty cool, I've always like the look of clear electronics, I plan on doing a clear case swap for my Switch Joy-Cons at some point, I'm not too crazy about the action buttons sticking up so far and I've never liked the "Dish" d-pad, but I know that can be swapped out.

Not sure about interchangeable/magnetic, but i do know that if you look on ebay or amazon, there are some replacement shells for the left joycon so it has a solid d-pad. Not only that, they also come in a variety of different colors! Msg me for a link if you need it. :)
Ummm I just bought three kits of buttons and sticks and all of the sticks are sticking. What’s the deal and is there a fix. Very cool concept but extremely frustrating especially when you buy a brand new controller and drop an upgrade and it’s not working right

In your opinion is best to use the extremerate magnetic dpad our the element digital you used in 2016? I think the element is not so high as this one, and thats a plus to me. But i dont know if it will work well
They feel the same.spwcially the clear ones and standard color rebrands. The goofy feeling ones to me are those colored chrome ones.... just feel too....smooth?
I just installed this mod yesterday on a (DualShock4 V2.JDM040) and the right analog stick keeps sticking(the left is fine)... I am assuming that it is due to magnetic polarity... So when I get my new shell... I will flip it around and see if that helps
ruddogg101 yes I did figure something out changing the polarity actually worked... all had to do is just reverse the analog stick making sure that it was in a reversed position of when I originally put it in and I've been playing with it for literally maybe about 20 plus hours and it's working just fine... So glad.... Just to let you know... It is the same kit from extreme rate for ps4
Ckador when you say reverse the analog stick, do you mean rotating one of the sticks 180 degrees or switch left stick with right stick or am I still off with my assumptions?

oscar cr7 I had them pop off when I dropped my controller but during regular use they are actually designed to be quite sturdy and they stay in place. My suggestion, just don’t throw your controller again after this upgrade

Jose Arevalo Jr. I don't know I think the Nintendo switch control there's a little bit too small for this type of modification that maybe a kit out there for them... I actually have heard that in some cases even for the PS4 the analog sticks start to stick in place because they may be a little bit too large
Luis Mendoza there are actually five different models of the Dualshock 4 the newest one with the light bar on the top is the JDM 0-4-0 it should be written on a motherboard when you open the controller but from what it looks like this one is only compatible with the JDM 001

I just used some epoxy to glue down a quarter on my d pad, will keep you posted

Yes I think it should but if it doesn’t then there is one specifically made for the dual shock 4

The buttons will only fit in certain holes on the controller so you will know which one they are

Only downfall to that dpad is the height! I did the same mod to mine and it sticks up way too high for me.
