When I’ve used this paint I use that same round brush but not followed by a roller. I did use spray bottle of water to thin paint a bit and make sure it didn’t dry too fast. Came out very smooth with no texture and durable.
I'm so glad to find your channel. I want to paint a big dresser from a green teal to a light rose color. But other videos make it look do difficult. You make looks easy. Thanks for the video.
👍You did a GREAT JOB!!!! Especially with no Priming or Sanding!!!! I don't know why you didn't like the Hardware!!!! I thought it was PERFECT for this piece!!!!
First beautiful transformation ...the trick to this paint is Buy a High intensity foam Roller...and Put the paint on heavier on second coat and Lightly Roll the roller over ...the cheap roller in the kit Will always create that texture .but true enough this is a tough paint 🥰👍
I use this paint brand 99% of the time and love it. I do have a sprayer, but haven't tried it yet. Menards sells those same small roller brushes for around $2, by the way!
I love the color and I love the hardware as is. I bought 2 colors of this brand paint, my neighbors just moved and left a giant gift of a long dresser, so my first try with this is happening soon, ty for sharing
I dont mind the texture. Depends on the surface. On the top i wouldnt want any texture. It collects too much dust that isnt easily cleaned. But on the sides it isnt as big of a deal as long as you are in a pet free or even possibly kid free home. I currently wouldnt allow my furniture to have texture but im sure that could be prevented with a dense enough roller that barely has give and no pores. ❤️ or using a sprayer and light coats and letting them dry before the next. Light coats dont take long to dry though. I dont know what paint type im about to use on this bedroom suit im doing right now. I may try this one but a detailed piece has some plastic or something so i dont think i could use it on there. 😔 its literally like 2 detail looking panels inside the front doors. So i have to find something for wood and plastic that is durable. I am sanding, staining, and painting these pieces but im also not keeping the old hardware either.
I use this brand of paint all the time. It took me a while to get the hang of it. If I paint in my garage, it does dry really fast. If I paint inside, it doesn’t dry as fast. I recently started adding Flotrol to help reduce texture. It helps slow dry time too.
@@christhompson3655 But Other than the BIN shellac primer, Is there any other primers which can be used? Like, I'm broke as fk, And can't afford such high rates. And here, It's about 130$. So, Is there any alternative?
BIN is pricey here too. The most important step is prep. Clean very well and scuff sand. For laminate, it’s very important. If done correctly any primer will work well. You can use shellac. It comes in a spray can or you can get it in a small can. Be sure to use a paint brush to throw away when using shellac or make sure you have ammonia for clean up.
Looks great! I’ve used this paint for several years now. I do like it,but a lot of trial and error. I personally don’t like the texture it leaves with the roller so I usually don’t use it. I’ve found also and I know they don’t recommend I use a spray bottle with a brush cause I also find this paint dries way too fast. Otherwise its really a great brand. Im planning on finally trying my paint sprayer. Very nervous about this. Wish me luck.
I hate texture, but a quick sand in between coats could help that and there is a great roller at Home Depot that doesn't leave texture. The Wooster mini roller does a fantastic job. Something about that roller is perfect. Foam rollers have always left texture for me. Thanks for the share on the paint. I need something very fast drying.
it came out quite nice. i like the original door pulls so am happy that you used them. i'd have to see it in person to know for sure, but on the video the texture was fine for me. thanks for another great video.
I have a question. I have a Walmart industrial tv stand that I’m thinking of painting white. Of course it’s made with particle board and looks like wood. So a darker color with a metal frame. I want it to look rustic though and I don’t have much experience with this stuff. Should I sand it lightly, put a white primer on, paint white and distress with antiquing wax or can I use a dark primer, paint white and then distress with sandpaper? Or do you have a completely different suggestion?
I love your channel I feel like you explain things so well I just dont know how to do all the woodwork that you do I want to learn how did you get started
Impressive that you did this in ONE day! I’d consider this product for a client! I dislike texture in a painted finish so I’d spray it. How much paint did you need for one dresser?
Very beautiful and useful as am a beginner... I want to know, can I use glass cleaner instead of krud kutter? And can I use apple white enamel paint as a main colour?
I’ve used this paint for a few projects. In my experience, for the price, it’s not the paint for me. Difficult to work with due to the quick dry time and the predictable texture every time I use it doesn’t work well with my variety personality. I’ve even had it peel off, even though I followed the instructions and videos to the letter. Also, it’s expensive and not cost effective for me to use this product.
I order mine directly from their website when they have a sale. I normally get several items for $90. Plus they have loyalty rewards where you earn points to use for money off your purchases.

The old hardware looks really good 👍
I like the texture. It gives it some character.
Been painting many years don’t be afraid to add a little water to the paint .🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Water after you applied with round brush while u paint. One time?
@@kelllauget6813 I sprayed my brush with water.
@@vickyb9918 Thank you, I'll try it.
Thank you for inspiring me to repaint my bedroom set as opposed to changing it. Great video 🙂
You are so welcome!
Smooth finish for me.
you've helped me to decide the best way to paint our dark wood 7 ft. bookcase! good job and I love the old hardware!
Great to hear!

I love love Heirloom. It’s also a woman owned company. I spray it most of the time. I do thin it out with a little water when I spray.
I think the texture gives it character.

I use this paint quite often too. Crossing my fingers I’m breaking out the paint sprayer for the first time this weekend. See how this goes.
Texture is nice it makes it unique ❤ as long as it has some shine is fine with me love your piece it came out awesome 👏
Thank you!
I like the texture
Texture or not you did a great job with little steps. I love this simple yet pretty revamp.
Thank you!
I love the color. Turned out beautiful.
Thanks!

For a smooth finish, sand, prime and use cabinet and trim paint.
It came out great! I prefer less texture, but yours looks like a nice finish.
I prefer texture to brush marks. Beautiful job on the dresser!

Heyy!! Can I paint this on my laminate desk too? Cuz I tried wood primer and the primer seems to scratch off easily, Plssssss reply
Yes. Make sure you clean it well with a degreaser. Do a scuff sand, wipe it down again, use primer then paint.

Did using the a regular brush with the spray bottle help get rid of the texture?

I like texture. Too smooth is well too smooth
What’s your thoughts on using Flotrol to help with leveling the paint? I’ve used it with chalk paint and it worked fantastic. No roller marks at all

Texture drives me nuts. But I often wonder if I’m just OCD about the finish since I resell.
Lovely 😍
Thanks 🤗
I love that paint brand!
That’s so good to know!
Texture looks good on some furniture , but this piece of furniture you did looks fine, I like both matted chalk look or this…
It's beautiful
Thank you Kathleen!!

Is a coaster necessary or will the paint come off like chalk paint? How do I maintain cleaning it over the years?
Just bought this.. hoping to get a smooth finish. Lol.

The same thing is happening to me when I tried the brush enrolled method I sanded this so many times
Does this paint have a strong odor? Do you have to use it in a ventilated area?
It is a waterbased paint and has an odor similar to other water based paints.
Can I directly paint without sanding and primer with EXTERIOR SEMI-GLOSS ENAMEL

Nice color. Sorta funny that the title includes 'no sanding' and you start sending 3 minutes in... Lol
I was just waiting for someone to say that.
How does it last? Say since you posted this? Any issues? Flaking?
Just wondering: why would you not sand and prime? Is it because of the cleaner you used? Thx.
Washing the paint off in your sink is super bad for the plumbing. Itll dry on the walls and you will get clogs
Where would you wash the paint then?
Can this paint be used on chairs
What did you spray it with please?
Krud Kutter. It’s linked in the description.
Nice! What the name of the paint?
It’s linked in the description
What color paint did you use?
This is Oyster.
Why are you sanding i I thought no sanding and no primer
Not a fan of texture if I didn’t plan on creating texture
🥇👍🇲🇦🇲🇦
I dislike texture, but that’s just me.
No texture
I do not like the texture, I would rather invest a little more time to get a nicer finish.
I hate texture and brush marks.
wow the paint is $90 🤣
Where you looking?
I’ve never even paid close to that.
