I know Steve can be seen as the comical guy in Corrie but this scene, you can feel his frustration and anger for putting his family through a lot as well as beating up Peter. Simon Gregson portrays him superbly!!
When people say Simon Gregson can't act they should look these sort of scenes. I just think people think that if you play a comical role you must be a bad actor Simon plays both comical and serious very well. Soaps need a comical character like Steve or Tim to Balance soap out if they didn't it just a full on depressing TV viewing.
@@ladybrandy91 Yup. I think Simon is one of the best actors in the show. I love his funniness, he plays it well because he seems like that in real life too, especially when he was in Im a Celebrity so he does it brilliantly. And he did the depression/Jez Quigley storylines great too

When Jim is released in 2018 or whenever, I would really like him to be a regular character again, not be in it for a few months and then not be seen again for years because he either goes back to the big house or gets disowned by his family, a proper corrie resident again like he was throughout the 90s. I know it's up to Charles Lawson but that is my biggest soap request so it is!!!

I REALLY, REALLY request for the legendary Jim McDonald to return to the famous cobbles, so I do!! I am certain that he will do so one happy day!!:)
Jim was and will always be a good man at heart but he deserved this. What he did to Peter and the way he treated his own son was appalling not to mention blackmailing Liz. Saying this though, a lot of the blame should be pointed at Liz for sending him insane with her cheating and selfish ways. Gonna be epic when he returns within the next few weeks!
I love Prison Scenes, whether it's on Emmerdale, Coronation St. and even Bad Girls and as many of you know Brian Park who worked on Corrie created Bad Girls especially the Visitors Room Scenes. The Extras are so convincing.

How long did Jim get his sentence extended by? because Steve later said he would probably get his sentence extended for using a mobile phone. So will he still be out by 2018 or will it be longer now. If so anyone know when?
If it wasn't for Jim Steve wouldn't have been free from Jez. You'd think his gratitude would have outweighed his anger in that storyline. Not sure if it's just poor writing or the character's short memory.
Jim McDonald has the nerve to call Steve pond life after he returns to the street with his girlfriend and passes her off as his and Liz’s deceased daughter Katie just so he could be close to his family again. Using your own dead daughters memory for your own gain know that is the lowest form of pond life in fact it’s evil

I remember when Steve McDonald was young tear-away today he must be the most boring guy on the show he has become Morbid and excepts everything for what it was not like when back in the mid 90's when he was causing alsorts off problems for the residents Even Gilroy wasn't a big Fan Alec Wonder what he would be like today with him
