He was always important. We looked much better in the 2nd leg vs Bayern when he came on. Just look at Trent and Cancelo. Not very good at defending but are important for transition of ball from defence to midfield.

Would be interesting to see him further forward then Rice drops deep alongside Partey instead. Then its effectively Zini and Ode in the left and right 8. Rice would also be more secure than Zini defending.

No one had an issue with Zinchenko until he went up one v one against Salah making it 1-1 at anfield and then every team we played after saw that and decided to attack the left hand side of the pitch. Kiwior struggled a bit there too against Bayern Munich last season. A fit Timber and Calafiori are just what the doctor ordered.
He was always important. Victimized by commentators looking for talking points. Gives his heart for the club and teammates.

I would say he has world class abilities but to be a world class player you need consistency too which he lacks a bit. Arsenal currently have 4 world class players in Saka, Ødegård, Saliba and Rice.
Jesus, Trossard, Odegaard, Jorginho, Partey, Zinchenko, Calafiori, Saliba, Timber and Raya are our best players.
@@thierryhenry674 Saka and Rice are too. I know you like silky and technical players but that doesn’t mean you should undermine others. I personally like shot stoppers as I was one but that doesn’t mean I don’t accept Raya as a good keeper and player. And only 2 of those players you mentioned are World Class as I commented before. You like a certain type of players but please accept that football is a big game with many roles and abilities. That’s why half the world watches it as it is diverse. Accept every role as important as others. Saka and Rice have been very consistent, are reliable and number wise both are very good. Both are our corner takers which require technical abilities.
