- This was the start for Sleipner Finland Ltd late 2011. Time has passed and our products has developed through the years. After years of hard work, Sleipner systems around the world bring benefits for our customers. Check out latest footage from Sleipner • Sleipner product line ...
Sleipner system is easy and safe to use in your operations, saving production time, maintenance and reducing fuel consumption and CO2- emissions.
On the video you can see how easy it is to roll in and off you go!!
Simply Ride and Roll! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Such a simple invention, but very cost-effective. Great stuff.
Regarding safety, it appears that at 1:47, operator had lowered his tracks, and was dragging them for braking. He then raises them before going around the corner.
holy shit, every large site should have a set of these.
Especially good that the operator can slew the tracks around tight corners, like rear steer
i thought i was the only one who noticed that, that setup is as convenient as it can be to move 300 tons of equipment at 30 km/h.
Genius idea ! So effective & simple
Someone needs an award
Note down my address
LOL, a Excavator with Heelies
That was a very impressive invention! I'm from Gillette wy, our coal mines would save a lot of money with this device. Moving equipment without this is very costly and extremely time consuming, as per the initial idea of the device I assume. Although MSHA would have to approve, and they wouldn't.
Wouldn’t MSHA just have to ensure work is being done in a safe manner, and PPE is worn, and overhead hazards are being mitigated. Approving the equipment would be like them needing to approve a new piece of heavy equipment, or a ladder/shovel/broom before it’s use.
Put another set under the bucket.
Get down the hill faster 👍
Simply genius at big level
what a brilliantly simple idea
Awesome idea!!!!!!
Really smart idea.
Awesome by design!
Good job! Very efficient!
Hold on mum, just putting my shoes on!
Without lases
very good engineering, who ever designed these!!!!!
Me
I love it the best video on youtube
Awesum vid, awesum idea....
now that's the mother of all roller blades...
Ingenuity at its finest.
if you notice in the vid when u see the shot from behined it looks like the undercarrige is splayed out so i would imagine transporting like this is also putting unusual stresses on the excavator or shovel.
Not.
people making a big deal about the safety of this.......typical....... Even if the bucket did slide out of the rock truck the damn tracks will just set down on the ground and stop the machine! It's not like it's gonna take off rolling away!.......Some people just need to work at McDonalds............
S
That is awesome. i bet going up a steep hill they have to make a provision in the truck bead so the excavator doesn't slide backward.
No, No they don't, we have a set which are used to move our fleet of Hitachi EX3600-5 and 3600-6 Excavators, they work well, no issues with the bucket/dirt sliding up or down, an operator in the digger who knows how to drive/steer with the slew is a must.
Great work
they slowly combine to form Devastator!
I'm looking for this comment...lol
Beautiful And Harmony.
Very cool!
genial idea excelente
Brilliant 👍
Great idea, but the bogie 'frames' would need to be a tight sideways fit on the excavator tracks, to ensure the bogies stay PARALLEL to each other for obvious reasons! The frames would also need to be lined with rubber to stop the tracks slipping out on rough roads! Also, you would need to chuck grease into the tipper body, to allow the excavator bucket to easily 'turn', on bends, otherwise the bucket would wear a hole in the tipper body, on a long trip!
The heavy ridges on the dollies and on the tracks plus the weight of the machine seem to keep it in place, rubber would just get chewed up after a couple of uses. The dumper is filled half up with dirt too avoid steel on steel contact no grease necessary.
Good point. I suppose if the ridges pretty much matched the spacing of the track ridges, the dollies (bogies) would stay parallel as well! Half filling the body with dirt is a good idea, except on a steep incline it might be wise to chain the digger bucket to the truck as well, in case it slipped out!
***** don't worry mate, some people cant help complaining because they cant come up with a good idea in their whole life, their called losers.
Obviously, there are a bunch of different versions and they all appear to work without your "wonderful" advice.
You know the advice about it being better to be quiet and to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt? Well, you pretty much blew it.
On an actual relevant note, I think it's an awesome idea and we built similar smaller dollies to go under aircraft landing gear so they could be manually hand-bombed in any direction, in tight spaces. AND, we managed to do it without the "advice" of James either :)

Very smart!
Thats impressive.
Good engineering Brother
Cool 👍🏻
Did anyone else know that you can buy these for Remote Controlled Excavaters and also fifth wheel hitches that hook into the place of the bucket for RC excavaters
Go play with your toys kid...
What is the smallest/largest excavators it can be fittet to?
that's brilliant ,,, very clever
หนังโป้
Ill be buying that this 2020. XD
Good idea.
simple et efficace.

mooi systeem zeg!
Is there some sort of hitch on the bucket? Or just the down force of the bucket keeps it in place? I have questions
No need of hitch, just some hard material on the truck bed and off you go. In case you have more questions, please contact sleipner@sleipner.fi.
Or check www.sleipner.fi for more information.
@@sleipnervideos wow a company that actually replies to TH-cam comments, cool. I figured just some gravel or dirt would do it but I was still curious.
Super Idea
Very good idea, I wonder how long these have been on the market this is the frist time i have seen anything like this
need these in RigsofRods
Top videos excavator the best friend 😊 yang
Mom!!! Im going out for RollerSkating
bem pratico
If it’s stupid, but it works.
It ain’t stupid.
this is smart
saving time, this is genius can make million in hour
good idea
Hmm. This needs intense training and close communication. I bet the truck driver could make the excavator tip over quite easily when he just cuts a corner too fast. This exceeds the speed the excavator was built for by far.
Yet, when in expert machine operators hands, a very clever invention.
cool
Sensacional
Good Idea
Super dela
Cool
هههههههههههههه وربي ابدااع
lohnt sich das denn ? der bagger hat die ketten doch zum ALLEIN fahren ?!
CAT 375??
We use a similar thing in demolition to move 30 (metric) ton excavators around over relatively short distances (hundred meters), but don't tend to use them for their speed, but more to not damage streets etc.
that's exactly the same way the old broyt excavators were transported, except they did'nt have tracks but 2 normal wheels in the rear and steel wheels in the front. the broyt x1 was made in 1950 and was one of the first wheeled excavators to have full hydraulic operation W/o drive
clever
👍👍👏
Oil perhaps ?
...good
it would emlinatelow boy accidents and roll pvers
Okay I expected it to use that wheel to move by itself like... The tracks makes the wheels move its like using a treadmill
"WALL-E" ))))))))
That's fuckin' smart.
I can't believe that I am watching excavators putting on there shoes
How about putting some grease on those tracks!
Said no one ever.
Why? They look tight enough
Fuck me, thats a really good idea xD
This might hurt the hydraulic arms because of this all load bearing of the heavy excavator
Who r u? A expert?
Sleipner system is not harmfull for excavator boom or slew ring. Ask more details from sleipner(a)sleipner.fi
OSHA probably wouldn't like this
Cbmech osha don't like shit
Texanminecrafter29
Ain't that the truth. And if you think they are bad, try cal osha.
Cbmech oh I know. They gave me a huge fine for an excavator operator not wearing his safety harness while working on a new highway ticks me off to this day. I mean I only have 3 employees and 1 decides not to wear his harness and I get in trouble for it
Osha doesn't even regulate mines or quarries you dumb ass. Msha does, and if this wasn't msha approved they wouldn't even be able to have it on location. Mines and quarries can easily get shut down for violations, therefore they absolutely follow msha regs and guidelines. Don't make dumb fucking comments especially when you have no knowledge of the subject.
All you need is an out of service sign and your golden!
It would be OH&S. WCB comes in after your hurt.
WCB wouldn't allow these in Canada
the WCB and OSHA are the reasons why Canada isn't a booming industrial center
Funny I've seen it in Canada.
I don't think this would be very hard on the excavator or the truck, the weight of the excavator is probably 80-20 on the heeleys, saving the truck, and excavators are meant to be able to use their buckets to lift one side of the machine, but only buying a set would really tell.
It works fine.
Made in Finland.
Canada aswell...
Excavator slippers!!!!!
yea it sure is a great idea can save tons of money too
Very good🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
excavators whit rollerblades
Slicker than greased owl crap!!
바퀴: 살려줘;;
Chào bạn❤❤❤❤
you know i couldve invented that.... dam it lol.
lets see them take this on shark tank.
Top muito inteligente
Very simple but still very efficient
Hello ❤️❤️❤️❤️
🖒🖒🖒😮😮😮
I wanna see when this goes bad!
What could possibly go wrong…
Nothing.
Sensible
Roller skates for Excavators. Go figure.
But then you'd have to be nice to truck drivers.
We all know operators and truck drivers don't get along lol
Nothing new. Saves the machine from wear and cuts down on travel time. Beats walking from pit to pit. :P
