DIY Truck Bed Drawers w/ Full Kitchen | Overland Stealth Camper Ep. 1
In this video, I build a drawer system for my truck that I will be turning into a convertible overland stealth camper. The drawers have a built in sink and faucet with running water and a propane stove for off grid cooking. The storage side of the drawers goes back the entire length of the truck bed which is 5.5 feet and provides easy access to the back of the truck bed. This setup is perfect for vans, trucks, stealth campers and overland rigs. Hopefully you enjoy the video. Later!

That decking drawer slide idea. Wow. Hats off to you, man. That is crazy clever. I’d love to see plans for this.
It's also one of the better ideas that I've seen for the money.
Why do you need plans for this? Every build is custom to your vehicle. How will those plans help you? You find wood that is available. You measure your van or truck out. Its all in the measurements. Set your requirements down first. Then build it. When you ask for plans, you are not thinking it through. What is it you want to build? What are YOUR requirements - that is the million dollar question. Once you know what you want, then sketch it out and THINK about it. Anything else you need to add or subtract? Mull it over on your walks. After the design is settled, build it out of scrap cardboard and tape. This step helps avoid mistakes in cutting the wood. Then buy or find free wood and cut it up and make it. Those who want to see plans are never going to build anything. Start building! Use cardboard. Graduate to wood.

Where the first handle screws split the wood, predrill the holes 2mm smaller than the screw, ( dont know in inches!)
Also clamp across hole before screwing. 99.9% of the time it wont split. Hope that helps.

Lower blade on your table saw. Only need the height to be about 1/4" taller then material you are cutting. much less friction and much more safe. Good video mate. Cheers!
You are 💯 correct. It's the small projects that shouldn't be an issue that sometimes goes wrong. I've started to drill pilot holes to save me the aggravation of splitting the wood. Enjoyed build, I added a fridge on the right side, instead of a storage drawer. 👍

Bro! Love this.. I've been gathering ideas for my 97 Landcrusier's drawer kitchen system... This is awesome! Retired Army Veteran here too and love doing this kinda stuff. Thanks for sharing your remarkable skillset with everyone! (Please release the specs/build sheet). I'll have to modify it to fit my vehicle, but this is right on track of what I'm looking to do.

Wish I knew about those PVC decking slides about 8 months ago! I paid way too much for heavy duty slides, those would have been much better. Great work!

I watched awhile ago and forgot what you used for sliders on your long drawers. I'm building a tiny house and it's going to have huge drawers that pull out for storage, using that decking material for a slide is perfect! Thanks so much, to give you an idea on cost savings, a 60" drawer slide costs $272, ridiculous!
There are 500lb rated locking drawer slides. Great build and idea with the decking boards
