What I like in Gundam seed and destiny is the characters portrayal. The pain, the war, the tears, connection, it's deep. I love it not because of the Gundam fights but more on the story of each characters.
Seed was awesome, and I think majority will agree to that. Destiny however, was a horrible mess. unfortunately, They got piled up together, so Destiny's rep effected seeds. But for what its worth, I still like Destiny because of the Seed elements.

A lot of people back in my day talked a lot about Wing, but Seed and Seed Destinty were my intro to the Gundam franchise. I don't regret it one bit. I loved Kira in the beginning, and then understood Athrun and loved his dynamic with Cagalli. It was Lacus' songs and the OPs/EDs that I sang a lot of in college. The emotions running through the story/ies were deep and real to me. I wish there were more series like it.
It's almost 20 years since I've first watched it and it's still one of my top 5 animes of all times. I've never been as emotionally attached to both sides of war as I was with GD SeeD. Nicol's death hurt and made me realized they were all just kids and I was literally 10 or 11 at that time. It was fucking traumatizing.
everytime i find likeminded people i feel so relieved! it has been 3 years for me, but i don't think i will EVER stop getting teary eyes whenever revisiting SEED and its brilliantly absorbing/heart-shattering moments
Although Gundam Seed and Destiny are not as good as they could have been, it did show a very realistic portrayal of what war is like and how it affects the soldiers fighting it
except the trauma and all the whacky stuff that comes with it. The war basically ask the question....who is right and who is wrong? @.@. In the end ppl r just finding for what they believe is justified or what is ''right'' really.
It's interesting to think that I love GDS more than GS which is opposite to most Gundam Seed fans out there (Maybe because I don't like Flay😅). I've been watching GS/GSD since 2013 and still couldn't move on from this masterpiece... Every year, I will rewatch it for sure... Strike freedom will always be in my heart❤
It reminds us that even though we are violent and cruel by our nature, we are human enough to recognize what we need in order to start the process to evolve past and grow.
Damn I had my tear hearing this song again after a long while... it was always an emotional song for me... and the clip in this MV is really ones of the most emotional cut in the series as well... Watched it when it's aired on high school days and Gundam Seed and Destiny will always be one of my favorite gundam story of all time.. loved the gundams, the songs and of course the story line
I all gundam series, SEED and SEED DESTINY, are easy to watch. fun, and if you would like to begin watch Gundam, i suggest these series to watch first.

ikr, Gundam is the best mecha anime franchise imo Seed is one of my personal fav, however my mkst fav is War in The Pocket from the main timeline (UC), and I also love Iron Blooded Orphans with its antimainstream bitter sweet ending

劇場版ではミーティアが実にいいところで使われてましたが、この曲もどこかで使ってほしかったなぁ～と思いました
今改めて観たらニコルのお母さんの涙に胸がグッとなった。
昔から大好きでカラオケで歌うけど、ウズミさんとカガリの別れの場面とか、宇宙に上がる寸前の三人衆VSフリーダム&ジャスティスの胸熱すぎるとこが画面に映ると何回歌っても泣きそうになって困る…笑。(とてもいい意味で)
