I have learned that if I trade when the MACD histogram is less than zero on the 5 minute or 1 minute chart than I am playing with fire and will get cut up in stupid losing trades. Doubling down with higher share size when the MACD histogram is below zero is like banging your head against a cement wall. I only trade if the MACD histogram is above zero on the 5 minute AND 1 minute chart. I also stop trading when the 1 minute MACD has peaked and is starting to step down.

4:48 That's possibly a 1 minute chart. If you switch to 10s or 15s chart, there might be a "micro pullback" that signals buying opportunity. So it's all relative and you usually use 10s/15s chart for momentum trading.

I must have watched Apollo13 at least 500 times in my lifetime. Great movie and the scene Ross is talking about is when the lithium scrubbers that fit the LEM were round and the scrubbers for the CM were square. The scrubbers for the LEM were smaller and already saturated because instead of two astronauts in the LEM there were three so they were using up more oxygen than what the LEM was designed for. The only solution was to use the unused square scrubbers in the CM so they had to retrofit the scrubbers from the CM to work with the purging system in the LEM. What Ross is getting at is that when you have a problem you need to reset yourself and go back to basics with what you know and what you have. Shortly after the explosion that killed three astronauts during a test run of the engines on Apollo 1, Mission Control adopted the mantra to “work the problem” and not make things worse by guessing.

another of a good knowledgable video, one question though, when you are waiting for the selling point which will be 10-15% down of the peak point, how do you know that the pull down jump will be 10-15% ? it can be 100% also and you will get nothing or even wrose maybe more down than 100%. or is just not the case and the market doesn't go down that quickly ?

another huge green day, making 5 huge green days in a row for me. PRFX, TPET, and PBM.
I just have to learn how to hold my winners a little longer, but I think I made the right decision to scale out early on some of them given my position size and my risk tolerance.

If I could make a request for a video, could you make a video on Trade Ideas plans? I'm on the premium plan, but I'm not sure it's actually worth it. I'd like to see your take on the different plans, Holly, The Money Machine, and the addons.

What exact software, hot buttons, how to setup the buttons etc? I’d like to setup some sort of desktop setup like you have. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I did download the think or swim. Just haven’t researched what analysis software etc is best. And news sources?

When the market opened i searched top gainers and saw PRFX was up. Then i noticed a small float and high relative volume compared to the average so my spidey senses went off. I bought a 1000 shares @5.62 and sold at 9.97, biggest day for me by far and i only started 2 weeks ago

I lucked out today with PRFX, still new to my hotkeys and TOS. man hit the wrong button to cancel my limit sell order and bought 3 more shares instead of selling at $7.50. Was at a total of 15 shares and was up so good already when I bought in before. After that it pretty much dropped a -2 dollars and went all the way down to 5 at market open, news did not show yet and was like I have to sell. Was down -$20. But to my surprise it kept going up so rebought 15 shares at $8 and gain back my $20 and added +$10. That was a swing of $30. I have a super small account of $200. I go between simulator and my small account But now I switched my hotkeys to buy ask with 3 buttons instead of 2. And 2 completely different keys to sell bid so not to make this mistake again. Good that I’m learning in small account I could not imagine putting thousands on the line and making that little mistake with the hot keys.

What made you not take a trade on that green candle on PRFX - referencing the 22:31 chart? Yes, there were a couple topping tails, but that green candle in the middle was looking very much like a beginning of a new leg higher, especially when it crossed $7.50. I actually did get in there at $7.42 and got out with a tiny profit but how to tell that this is not the right entry in the first place?

Amazing thing happened today. I went up 14% on my main account gave back more than half just barely. Stopped trading didn’t trade my retirement account the stocks I was watching didn’t pull away I would have just lost more. But I didn’t… cuz I followed my rule you gave me lol Ty! I truly believe this hot streak I’m on is changing the way I trade for the better I’m seeing so many more signs in the moment than ever and learning from my mistakes. I know now why that trade failed. The chart looked good volume was good but it tanked and I should have seen it coming but didn’t but i did figure out why it happened n I won’t miss a sign like that again. Ended up 5 % green on main account and flat no trades on Roth. My Roth is up 60% this week alone so I’m happy enough!

Made an incredibly stupid mistake today. Accidentally fat fingered an order on BPTH for the break of pre market pivot and I did a limit instead of a stop. Stock proceeded to halt immediately at open, and like 15 more times going down with about 3 seconds of trading in between and I got absolutely cooked. Could not get out.
