Barbra Streisand returns to her Broadway dressing room

- In this web exclusive, the singer who became a superstar in the 1960s Broadway musical "Funny Girl" visited her old haunts at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City, including the dressing room now occupied by "School of Rock" star Sierra Boggess.

Sierra said, "She's here." And I immediately said, "The Phantom of the Barbra..." I both hate and love myself for that.
Barbra Streisand is more than icon she is the soundtrack to a lot of our lives. This segment made me giddy….it’s so good.

What a beautiful illustration of talent and mutual-admiration coming full circle in their dressing rooms. Sierra is insanely talented and, like Barbra, also exhibits a transcendent singing voice.
This video makes me almost cry everytime because i can't count the times she have said that Barbra is her idol, her number 1, she gets really excited talking about her and I get excited talking about her :(

I met you on Houston Texas. i didn't know who you was until a few years later. you came up to me and shook hands with me and ask me how I was doing. you was such a pretty woman and still are now. you never had any idea who I was but it never mattered too you anyway.
I was just a street person at the time but you still took time for me.
I may never get to meet you again but if i don't get to I will never forget meeting you. It is unusual for someone that is a star like you are to be so kind to a total stranger they had never met before. not a street person for sure your love and kindness showed me if you can care about others I can too.

This was very nice. Sierra Boggess is an incredible singer. And, let's face it, despite any of the silly criticisms here, Streisand has been a show business sensation for over 60 years. SIXTY YEARS! She must be doing something right.
I just saw this post in 2022. Why did I miss this all these years? I'll be exactly like Sierra hyperventilating knowing that Barbra was in my room. I got to get that Saint Barbra candle ASAP.

Barbra is 14 years older than I and I grew up & went through life aware of her. Yet, her choice of music genre seemed more for older people and squares. I found her way of singing to sound, strained; like yelling. It seemed obnoxious and square. But I did think she was pretty and i liked her in "What's Up Doc" and "The Way We Were". I realize she is well into her 70's now. Though she never was a favorite of mine in any way, she feels to me like a part of the American family, and will never be forgotten. At least not for a long time.

This wasn't the only thing she did, she went around the entire building since that was where she starred in "Funny Girl". It was a nice thing regardless, she's not nor has she ever been fake.
