Thanks for sharing this I’m in the same situation. Year 12 was the hardest year of my life mentally and I felt all alone throughout all of it with no one to talk to. So sharing this makes me feel like I’m not alone.
I am so sorry that you had such a hard time mentally and that you felt so alone. I am glad that in some way me sharing my experiences lessens that isolation but please do make sure that you reach out to someone you trust if it continues. I wish you all the best x

Omg LOVE Wonder and Auggie and Me ( I JUST noticed them on your shelf Jeta!!) What are your thoughts on these books and ofc how old were you when you read them? I was 13 when I read them.
Year 12 was also probably the hardest year of my life as I struggled a lot with my mental health. Unfortunately year 13 wasn’t any better for me but that wasn’t so much because of academics. It’s true that the jump from year 12 to 13 can be hard but I honestly didn’t find it too hard. I think my teachers put so much pressure on me and really hyped it up. The main piece of advice I’d give in terms of the workload is to maintain a balance as I put so much pressure on myself in year 13 that I probably worked more than I needed to, which also affected my mental health. I’m sorry you struggled in year 12 too but I’m so happy you’re getting help now, as I went through a lot of it feeling like I had to pretend I was fine. I’m sure year 13 will be a great year for you and remember to prioritise your mental health over school💕
I also wanted to add that I felt like sixth form was hyped up to be the best years because of being older and socialising with friends and stuff, and being more independent. My sixth form experience didn’t really end up feeling like that (because of covid mainly but also mental health), but it’s not the be all and end all! So proud of you for getting through year 12, you’re doing so well!
