How can I reset the temperature ie starting from no memory?

Go into the mode you want to reset, either the Maximum or Minimum mode using the “Max/Min” button, and then hit “Max/Min” for 2 seconds, this will reset it to the current reading. I hope this helps answer your question.

Sorry to hear that you were dissapointed. What are you wanting to install the sensor cable into? The method would depend on the device you are wanting to monitor.

@@famy7115, Temperature of water will experience less fluctuations compared to the air temperature of the fridge. If the fridge door is constantly being opened, leaving the probe in water will help mitigate the warm air affect that rushes into the fridge.
However, the glass of water will react slower if the fridge changes temperature. If the fridge changes temperature to point it outside the ideal operating range, then you won’t register this change as quickly as possible to be alerted.
It depends on your use of the fridge but I would start off having the probe measuring the air temperature not sitting in any solution.
