If you are looking for the internal air temperature of a fridge and more accuracy a probe that measures air temperature may be more suitable.

Hi Lindsaytemple5645, Thanks for the enquiry regarding the PMS-714, with this model, 0.0% is dry and 50% is saturated. On this meter, you cannot store readings, you can only hold a reading, or store and display a maximum or minimum reading. I hope this helps answer your enquiry.

As in general rinsing in distilled water, or a detergent/water mix can suffice for most applications. There are some applications where electrode cleaning solution would be vital, so if you can confirm that would be great.

Hi, Jackson2108 thanks for your query. In general we recommend avoiding touching the circuit board as much as possible due to the amount of sensitive electronics found on the circuit board. Thanks for your query. In regards to calibrating the BOD, this is calculated from the DO reading. As long as the DO is calibrated, then the BOD reading will be accurate.

Hi sorry to hear of your trouble, hopefully we can help. The first thing we can recommend is follow the below instructions, 1) Have the unit powered OFF. 2) Press the ON/OFF, Meas and Cal button simultaneously, and “Init” should appear. 3) Once it does, press “CAL” and the meter will turn off. Now turn the meter back on and try and recalibrate again. If this still doesn't work, please send a photo of your meter and error through to scientists@instrumentchoice.com.au the team will be happy to help you through this error. Hi @ngside9580, the IC0400WS has no internal memory or ability to communicate with a PC etc. You can only see conditions on the console.

Go into the mode you want to reset, either the Maximum or Minimum mode using the “Max/Min” button, and then hit “Max/Min” for 2 seconds, this will reset it to the current reading. I hope this helps answer your question.

​@@instrumentchoice Thank you, Yeah it would be nice if that option became available simply on a firmware update Personally myself and i think customers too can more easily relate to volume flow than velocity, i think its easier to imagine cubes of air moving through a duct rather than air ripping along at xxxx# of feet per minute. Now if u can show that with a graph that would be awesome but u know what , if u could lay the two graphs over each other that would b even better ! then u could show the effects of transitions and bends in the system simultaneously and make comparisons , could be a even better troubleshooting tool !

@@instrumentchoice I'm considering it for use in a cylinder head flow test bench, typical peak flow rates there are between 200 and 300 cfm with a 4 inch bore pipe , my calculation (actually i used ChatGpt) is 300 cfm = velocity 3435 fpm or 17.46 M/s , so it looks like the 405i could easily be a viable option.

Hi @rabiyashah3882, Thanks for your question, on this, TDS is a factor of conductivity, it applies a factor to the conductivity reading to produce its TDS reading. In general if you are specifically looking at TDS and want to ensure accuracy, it would be advisable to calibrate TDS as well. For TDS you would do a manual calibration using a standard of your choosing from 0-10ppt. What sort of level are you measuring?

I want to check pH, ec, and tds in soil samples but this instrument is showing me pH readings different readings every time?

Hi, thanks for your question. HI98129 can be calibrated in a normal ambient room temperature environment. As long as this is below 50c room temperature won't effect the calibration of the meter. I hope this helps answer your question.

Yes, the Hanna HI98193 can measure BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand). It is specifically designed for measuring dissolved oxygen (DO) and BOD. It does this by calculating the difference between the initial and final DO concentration readings in a water sample. I hope this helps answer your question.
