Hi Jo, Went to Scotland in mine earlier in the year.....love it! Fantastic bit of kit. Can't believe nobody from Tentbox told you that the dual memory foam mattress is softer if you flip it over to the other side. Can't wait to disappear in mine again later in the colder months of the year. Mat
Good info. Thank you jo,I'm here in oregon,u.s. ,in search of my first rooftop tent for some future travels ,so many choices from everwhere,Australia,China, Africa and the tentbox from uk,great video thank you🙂
Love your stringlights, could you put the name and where to get them in the comments, please? Cause I just ordered my first tent ox, exactly the same as yours, and I'm so excited, can't wait! THX…!
@@jowalley Hi Jo, haven’t used the awning yet. But because it covers the ladder entrance and gives you some coverage to sit at the bottom, it seemed a no brainer to me. Bound to get some inclement weather at some stage so you won’t be stuck inside your tent. It’s looks the same good quality of the tent.
Hi Jo, I remember you from LibraryLand! Watched your video last night and have been looking at these for ages. Would you be up for answering a question off here about the tentbox?
Hello. I'm thinking of getting one of these and I have a question. How was the mattress built into that tent? Asking cause I have bad back and I'm a front sleeper. FYI your video is very encouraging for the first time campers, thank you :)
It is velcrowed to the the floor of the tent. I find the mattress too firm for my liking, a side sleeper. I use a self inflating mattress which makes a huge difference. Some use mattress toppers. I also have the living pod which gives an enclosed space around the ladder.
Thank you for the positive message, really glad it’s encouraging for first time campers like myself! And yes it’s attached to the base but it is indeed very firm. I didn’t sleep too badly at all but I slept on the blanket and in the sleeping bag so had some padding. I quite possibly will get a mattress topper if I do a lot more camping, though I don’t want to fill the car with stuff ☺️
@@jowalley I like it. It gets quicker to put up the more you use it. I added ectra gromets around the base to peg in the ground. Gives you a room, albeit a dark room, but thats what lights are for

And she's even in a Mazda! Good job, girlie:) you gave me just what I needed! Like and Sub.
I got the mattress topper with my classic 2.0 and it’s a game changer in regard to comfort.
Got exact same one 4 months ago. Really good quality bit of kit. Got the tunnel awning to go with it as well. Beats kipping on the ground any day. 😃👍🏻
Thanks so much - really glad you’re loving it too. And yes I’ve been really impressed with the quality 👍🏻 How do you find the tunnel awning?

Sounds like a good plan - also easier to get changed I imagine (I did it in my tent but wasn’t the easiest 😂)
I was swithering to buy one but you’ve convinced me
Mattress topper and be grand
Thanks
Did you feel safe? And how about going to the loo in the middle of the night, don't fancy climbing up and down the ladders

Hi! Lovely to hear from you and yes of course, happy to help 😊
Do you notice the mpg loss with the tentBox on the roof vs. without it? If so, what's the estimated mileage penalty?
Hi do you get mounting brackets with the tent..thanks
which pub is this, was it the winking man in derbyshire?
I’m gonna get tent box I really want one 😁

Thanks so much for sharing. How do you find the living pod? I’ve heard mixed reviews

How wide is the 2.0 lite?
Looks good but stupid expensive for what it is.
