Little honda engine crankshaft bearings are only designed for radial loads , not axial loads.........you need a thrust type bearing to take the load off the crankshaft bearing.........the four bolt PTO pad on the output shaft end , could be utilised to mount a thrust bearing on..........there are ball bearings that are designed for thrust only in one direction and if mounted on that PTO pad , it would relieve all that end pull..
FAA Inspector How about if the crank was machined down on the thrust area inside the crankcase and a Torrington rollerized bearing like on a automotive timing set was used? That should be sufficient. Wouldn't you think?
I hope you make a list of all the off the shelf parts and assembly instructions for this motor and prop combo you have developed. I would pay you for this info...
Is this is 200cc or 212cc Engine? If 200cc at 90% efficient at 4400rpm = 9hp and 212cc at 90% efficient at 4400rpm = 10hp so your in the Ball Park. I see a better Header Exhaust, did you use a Bigger Carb also? Any CR Change? Did you have to use the High Rev kit for 4400rpm? Are you using a Full Synthetic Oil 10w-30? You might want to try using a High Octane Gas and some of the Engine Coatings to lower your overall Temps.
I think so too! Dad has spent alot of time on this, researching, planning and testing. With that prop he is able to reach 4400 Rpm , so according to the Static thrust calculator it works out to 9.5 Hp and 75 lbs thrust. The bare motor weighs 28 lbs so with the prop, muffler and necell it should come under 40 lbs (pretty much the same as the Rotax). With his skinny ass he may be able to fly on one engine! LOL
those are the hubs I am using, but you have to keep an eye on thehub bolt for tightness....what are you going to use it on? a lazair?..The eggmotor site on yahoo has a lot of really good info on the 6.5 honda clones..good luck.....Pete
ESTO ES LO Q AMI ME GUSTA. DE NIÑO SIENPRE QUISE CREAR ALGO CON MIS PROPIAS MANOS, PERO NUNCA ES TARDE PUES TENGO UN MOTOR HONDA DE 6.5 Y UN MOTOR DE PODADORA BRIGGS STRATTON Y UN MTOR PEQUEÑO HONDA DE 1.5 HP. EL VIDE ESTA HERMOSO SALUDOS DE PERU..
Nice. Where did you get the prop hub? I saw one similar on the nr race page where you bought the engine....is it this one? Did the place where you bought the prop drill it to fit this hub is my biggest question. Will be a big help to know about the hub/prop set up.thanks! Jeff....upstate ny
A $99 Harbor Freight Honda 200 OHV clone with govenor disabled and high airflow intake? They have a heavy crank case and flywheel though. But they will put out voltage for a light. Seems like you could lose some weight but using a lighter flywheel and cutting some useless parts off (like the gas tank supports with a metal oxide wheel.
@@THOMASTHESAILOR You seem to think that the word "clone" implies quality. These engines are clones which means they copied the design of the honda motor. I agree that they are a death trap, but I would consider the honda engines a death trap as well,.

What motor are you using? Links to it? Would love to look into this for other ultralight aircraft as an alternate to some of the more common and expensive motors.
Prop sounds good. Get these on a lazair and get some coverage. Looks awesome I have a few lazairs projects on the go right now. Check my videos -- tons of flying stuff

Sir, how many kg air is available in these two engines in total

Que tipo de motor debo de usar para hacer una aero nave de estas.
Nice engine
Sir do you know where I can get that exhaust pipe, cabrator and prop sir.
Am working on a project with a predator 212cc
how did you get them to counterrotate
Where to buy that stuff and the price please
Just one problem ; Crankshaft on this engine is NOT designed to take this amount of thrust due to pull of prop so engine will not last long for sure.
Correcto, demasiada carga axial en el cigueñal,posible falla catastrofica...

Great job. What kind of thrust are you getting? How much does the engine weigh?
Serve pra Aerobarco?
why 75 lbs of thrust from the engine can push this aircraft to the air and fly?
did you go with the aluminum flywheel or stay stock? thanks, Steve
Hi, I would like to know if you could tell me where I could buy a hub prop like yours.

It's NOT a clone, it's a cheapened down china copy, People use the word "Clone" cuz they don't wanna admit they bought cheap junk..

Buenas tardes sr es muy imprecionante ver cómo haces una élise cuanto es el costo le agradezco su información
Sir I want to order propeller how to connect with you
Buenos videos gracias
How are u doing today sir
El cigueñal del motor es muy frágil para soportar un avion
What motor are you using? Links to it? Would love to look into this for other ultralight aircraft as an alternate to some of the more common and expensive motors.
its an older version of the predator 212cc
Pedator Motors are *preying on YOU* , they are NOT "Honda Clones" , they are Honda imitations, really cheapened down.. a death wish in a airplane..
This is a fun experiment but I agree that it's a bad idea to put a propeller on an engine without proper thrust bearings. Good luck and be safe
Ну вот такую движку можно ставить на самалёт.

good?
I want to buy that engine
