    You are so very fortunate to still have all that beautiful hair. I too was using cantu prior to DC I’ve been terrified to put anything on my hair since I found out what’s been going on only 4 days ago so I’ll be hitting my Cantu again!👊 I began using DevaCurl early 2020 I used it less than 2 months. With hair loss baldness thinning and the length that is now gone I have literally lost half my hair. it was past my Waist when I began using DC. I used to have 4-5 good hair days. now I don’t even have one good hair day. I am absolutely devastated and that devastation is compounded as DC knew about this problem long before I started using it. it’s TRULY such a sad situation for so many😏 Love and light your way girl and thank you so much for the video~💫🌸✨

    Welp, I had to finally cut ties with my devacurl routine is well. I noticed that my hair is thinner I just can't figure out where the balding is happening because it seems to be happening all over my head. I used to just have to wrap an elastic around my hair once to put it in a ponytail now I have to wrap it twice 😔 It took me 3 years to get back to my natural hair and now I feel like it's all in vain. Going to have to spend more money trying out new products to find out what works best for me. 😒

      Ugh I’m so sorry that happened. It’s so sad and heartbreaking what everyone’s going through. I wish I knew sooner

      My hair started falling out in June of 2018 and it hasnt stopped. I just found out about devacurl on February 10 and i stopped but im going to put it out there that youtubers got me on this devacurl yet many youtubers didnt' share their problems i know they say because they didn't think it was their product but still isn't something that people make videos of their gorgeous hair and then hide when theyre habing issues instead of telling people what they are going through, perhaps that would have brought it to light sooner. I'm pissed in every way shape and form and my anger goes beyond devacurl. 1 year and 8 months of hair fall. My hair use to llook like this girls in the video and i have a 1/4 of what i had. I sure hope that doesn't happen to her and i'm sure it won't because she stopped using it i continued thinking it was me. I had been to 4 specialists routine blood work and more in depth bloo work scalp biopsy and nothing really wrong except my hair was opposite growing hair were percentage in sleep and fall. So yeah influencers have an obligation to report everything because they're influencers the good the bad and the ugly and some of these girls need to also be held responsible. I'm not talking about this girl but yall should get what i'm saying.

    Girlllll. I wanna try Cantu now, I basically lost hair in the same area as you but more so above ears and more along the top of my scalp. I hope these products work for me!!! I just want my curls back. My pattern has completely changed.

    Hi Farrah! Your hair looks BOMB! My curls broke at the root after using DC... I thought it was just that my hair was dry.. anyway it is growing back now..... I have VERY thick hair and it shrinks so its more like an afro right now because of all the new growth. Anyway, I used aphogee 2 step protein treatment and that REALLY helped. I also deleted any products with coconut oil... for now anyway and really my curls are back tight and springy.... there is a gel called soultanicals frozen you should try it.... I think you would love it.

      Lisa Grillo Murray thanks for that share! I too have very thick hair. So 3 quick questions before I go buy it...
      1. What is your porosity?
      2. What is your curl pattern?
      3. What climate do you live in?

    • @leetrader9576

      @@mea1831 I have low to medium porosity type 3c curls. I live in NY where it is not really dry and not really humid right now, however it has been a mild winter... the summer is coming though and the humidity will be off the charts soon.

    How crazy! I used nothing but devacurl for over a year, and I experienced hair thinning in the exact same places as you! When I stopped using devacurl my hair started growing back in, you can see the tiny baby hairs all around my face.

    You really should use a wide tooth comb or wet brush to comb through your wet hair instead of that brush.

      Rosetta Drone I think the tangle teaser she uses is a type of wet brush

    as an influehcer aka pusher you had an obligation to share what was going on with your hair i'm getting annoyed with this shit quite honestly try losing that much hair for a year and 8 months i had your exact hair and am down to a 1/4 cause i continued using it never seeing anything on youtube from influencers seems like everyone hid from the camera when their hair wasn't good leaving people like me screwed sorry i'm beyond pissed with a lot of youtubers very selfish and unfair not just saying to you but to many out there. the good the bad and the ugly you all should share or stop the channel

    What nobody seems to have mentioned is whether or not the products were properly used. The original Deva Curl product was introduced as a salon product and applied by stylists who were specifically trained to work on curl hair. Was the product misused? I have never used it.

      Daphne Sinicropi this is an issue happening throughout the line to so many people in so many different circumstances, and some are curly hair professionals and people actually trained by Deva Curl! It’s nearly impossible that all these problems are user error.

    How the hell are you gonna brush your wet hair and not expect hair to break???? Hair is most vulnerable when its yet THEN you brush it out while its wet? SMDH😑 curly girl method is to finger detangle your hair NEVER use a brush.

    • @Willowy13
      @Willowy13 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had been brushing/combing my wet hair for over 40 years and it pratically didn't break until I started the curly girl method, which I stopped last november and my hair is now recovering.

    Deva curl isn’t bad for your hair. For a million dollar company that’s the least you should expect. People that have been using deva curl and are loosing hair it’s because your using the product too much. Also why are people now saying Deva Curl is making them “bald”? This brand has existed for years and as soon as one person complains everyone wants to. Mmmm I think you guys are just using this for clout.

    • @Willowy13

      Because people usually think hair loss is a medical issue. When someone sounds the alarm they consider it if they are using the same products with the same terrible results. There are children with hair loss problems. There is no defending DC.

    • @erinthevirgo
      @erinthevirgo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you can use the product “too much” and it damage your hair, then it isn’t a good product🙄 You sound like DC and their lame excuse “customers aren’t washing their hair properly”. Most of us know to read the directions and how to apply product!

      The problem is the concept of using these non cleaning agents on your hair you cannot consistently use conditioner on your hair you will experience buildup and eventually damage and hair loss you have to cleanse your hair and devacurl is not it. It's like using lotion to wash your body you would not do it you need soap to remove build up dirt and oils.
