- I am so excited about this month’s episode because I jump in the car and go on a little road trip down to the Gold Coat to help my friend Maddy from / @theessentialsclub build her own Organic Shaped DIY Ball Foot Coffee Table - from scratch, using plants pots! If you love sewing and upcycling, then you’ve probably come across / @theessentialsclub on TH-cam. She has a very popular channel and I’ve been lucky to call her my friend for the last 7 years.
A few months ago Maddy asked if I could help her DIY her dream coffee table. She recently moved into her beautiful new studio and is busy designing the space and filling it up with her projects and thrifted furniture, and she’s always wanted an organic shaped coffee table with ball feet. After seeing a couple of my projects, she knew I’d be the right person to help her bring her dreams to life. Also, what an honour! She sent me some reference images and her plans for the studio, which I put into a mood board and came up with potential colours for the coffee table (which you’ll see in our episode). And she absolutely loved it, which I was thrilled about. I am so excited to show you what we got up to and how we built a beautiful coffee table from scratch, using plant pots! I really hope this episode has inspired you to make your own Organic Shaped DIY Ball Foot Coffee Table. You'll find the link to the materials and tools we used below. I can't wait to see what you create. Happy making!
〰️What’s happening here on TH-cam?〰️
Every month I go to someone's house and help them DIY a piece of furniture they’ve been dreaming of from scratch, or upcycle something they no longer love, but don't want to throw out in favour of buying something else, and transform it into something beautiful and new. I’ll also be doing lots of affordable and approachable room makeovers and transformations - stay tuned!

Simply stunning. 🎊 🎉❤
Thank you so much :) xx
I think the balls' size discrepancy works so well as you get to see more of the spheres, rendering a more pleasing look. Bravo.
Awww thank you! It was a happy accident and turned out beautifully x
Amazing work!
Thank youuuu 🥰🥰
THIS IS BRILLIANT. I love your vision and execution. Can you also source materials from the tip or equivalent in your area? Sometimes tips have sorting plants where you can find the most amazing treasures like interestng shapes you'd never considered upcycleable, especially as you use cement for some projects. This is exactly how I've found some jaw-dropping structures as supports for the hypertufa pieces I make. Bravo, love what you do, thank you.
Thank you so much, truly. That's so kind of you to say. Absolutely - charity shops, tips shops, thrift stores would be great places to source materials for this project :) Xxx
Where did you get the planters?
They're from Bunnings and I've linked to them in the episode description :)
